I picked this up in the summer for 25 bucks. I have slayed bass and chain pickerel on it. The reel hasn't held up to the abuse but the rod is great for soft plastics. For 15 bucks id buy another tbh

You need to spend a lot more and pick-up a decent Spinning set-up. I'd love to see you do a Drop Shot or Ned Rig vid with a good new spinning combo, using a soft plastic you created! Would love to see that!

Visit Walmarts in smaller towns. Idk about you but my main Walmart is garbage. But if I go to the small town 30 miles away they have the craziest fishing shit on clearance.

I got the baitcaster of that combo and honestly worst reel I have ever used but the rod wasn't to bed honestly though I could have gotten a faulty reel cause when adjusting for the free spool it had to be almost locked down to even cast with proper thumb control or it would still backlash so I don't know

I've been only getting the Walmart clearance sale what is the point of paying full price point no more. Spinning reel is the better one because it gets sold more out of all reels. Baitcaster I just got and can't use it for trout fishing 🎣 not good at all for my. Leve it for heavy lure because I got to drive 100 miles just to find a Bass. Got my first baitcaster this year and the thick line I don't understand it⁉️ isn't 8lbs or 10lbs good enough for Bass. I've used 8lbs monofilament for bass for years in my state and now is not how come. Just wondering this combo is kill 👊🏼
