  • This video was a tedious learning experience for me BUT I hope this helps you to continue experimenting and exploring the world of home studio music production!
Here are some steps I attempt to discuss:
    1. Cable hookup
    2. Configuring your Roland TD-17 V-drums module to function as a MiDi Controller
    3. Setting up your Cubase 10.5 workstation
    4. Setting up your EZDrummer 2 VSTi
    5. Recording your beat
    6. How to mix and edit your beat
Please feel free to drop down any advice, questions, or comments below! Let’s continue learning together and building a wealth of knowledge for our future DIYers! :)
    Best...

IT WORRRRRKS!!! FINALLY! I OWE GREATLY! MERRY CHRISTMAS! I record multitrack... so i can record directly into cubase as well, vs making drum track within ezd then pasting it into Cubase! Both ways work... this is AWESOMELY INCREDIBLE! THANK YOUR SO MUCH! I tried with another's how to vid... NOTHING like yours and yours worked the CORRECT WAY! Bless you! I can't wait to start recording my drum tracks this way! I'm stoked! Thank you brother!

Ok... I've been going nuts trying to figure connecting it into Cubase..omg! Going to finally try your method with ezd.... if that works.. I'll be back to give you a great thank you!

Good luck! As mentioned in the video, it look me like 3 hours to figure out 😆
Roland apparently doesn’t have a digital program for their drum set. So I basically have to use the v-drums the same as I would like any other midi-controller.
You can use EZ drummer or any other software that had digital instruments.

@groakersmusic2713 3 hours you spent..lol.. I've spent years trying to get this darn kit into Cubase so i can control each pad.. it's soooooo complicated! Nothing i did worked so i just went the 2, 1/4" plug route. I am getting ez today... if it works... and i have no doubt it will, well be well worth the 99$!

Great tutorial, i play a TD27 and record using an IRig2. I'm only learning but it is pretty easy and actually sounds pretty good.

Top tip. Cheaper than upgrading to the TD27 or TD50 box.

A 2 day old half eaten sandwich on one of the keyboards would have been a brilliant touch. Clean and organized or productive. Cool. Thanks

I noticed I’m using the wrong technical terms during this video lol I was “soloing” each track NOT “silencing” them. There’s many of times where I just worded things inappropriately...... :|

Is this module capable to record multi track? What's the latency

    • @groakersmusic2713
      @groakersmusic2713  3 ปีที่แล้ว

In the video I show how to use EZ-drummer software to enable myself to do multitrack recording with the Roland TD-17 Electric drums. Basically to my current understanding, you need to use EZ-drummer software for multitracking electric drums.

I’ve not had any issues with latency but that also depends on your computers’ processing power capacity.
I only start getting latency after I have over 15+ tracks and a handful of plugins active.

Hi groakers music, I have a problem in my CUBASE 10 with my E-Drum (Roland Td-12) and Keyboard.....
-They works perfect with ADDITIVE DRUMS as external module ("Standalone"), and I see a good MIDI signal of both into the MIDI ACTIVITY of CUBASE when I play de MIDI Keyboard or the E-Drums, but.... any reponse or sound in any of them (ADDICTIVE, HALION, etc.... MIDI channel too) :-(
*If I put the "on" of the ADDITIVE DRUMS "Demo".... That Sounds perfect!!!! ¿¿¿????
    Can you help me please...????
