    Your comment at 4:03 is incorrect. Not every XF comes with that size screen. It is an optional extra. It is also very easy to use on the move. Easier and more straightforward than the BMW or Mercedes. I have driven all three and the Jaguar is a better car all round in my personal opinion. That's why i now own one.

      Exactly... think car journalists reviews wrong things....
      when you buy a car you mostly don’t care about door pockets, storage places in the cabin or what material they use down near your foots... you care about how the car handles, motor, fuel economy, boot space, rear seats space etc...

    We have just brought a 2019 Xf Sportbrake with 40k. It is in perfect condition except for when we are on a bumpy road the sportbrake gets a little loud or "nervous" I hear the bumps. Did you noticed the same when doing the test? I.e. ist that just part of the suspension?

    Jaguar growls at it’s Teutonic competition. I don’t care about it’s quirks, if the rear center armrest is too low, stick in a copy of The Game of Thrones under it. Want and need it.

  • @johntechwriter

    Good real world review, thanks. Sadly, this car has no chance in the USA. Obese people prefer to step UP to enter a vehicle, as with an SUV, then step DOWN when exiting. And for the price, they could get a Lincoln for the same money, which is one-third larger. Do the math.
    The reviewer's conclusion matches mine: stunning looks, tons of storage, and a top notch driving experience put this car at the top of my want-to-have list. But being retired, I’ll have to press on with my elderly XJR, so I really can’t complain.

      Only at Geneva show earlier this year, Frankfurt show last year, at an event at Gaydon and a few times at various shows over the years. I have driven them twice along with the FType and FPace in their current forms. I have also run (recently) 535 BMW, V90 & XC60 Volvo, A6 allroad and E400 Mercedes. I have a rough idea what I am talking about. I also have a good idea about where my Jaguar and Land Rover dealers are due to the amount of recall/ warranty work they need.

    • @kiahweelee9994
      @kiahweelee9994 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bought a brand new XF in 2016. Within weeks, problems started to surface. There were about 8 to 9 problems which include inability to register and retrieve address from the map system, blue screen for the center console, spoilt rear (reverse) camera, air conditioning not cold, moldy seat belt and multiple cabin rattling sounds. For each problem, I had to go to the service center 2 to 3 times to finally fix 1 problem. I also needed to leave the car for few days to a week on several occasions. It was a nightmare and this lasted for about 9 months. The worst were cabin rattling sounds. So difficult to detect the faults especially they were not consistent. I wanted to return the car but the dealer refused saying that it was not bad enough (e.g. not like the engine blown up). Drove me mad. Who on earth want to spend so much money to get oneself this type of torture. Till today, slightly more than 2 years, new rattling sound and squeaky brake surfaced. There is a market saying now, “You can’t spoil a Toyota and you can’t fix a Jaguar”. This is how bad the reputation of JLR is. I don’t understand why they don’t replace the CEO to a German or Japanese. This really tarnish the attitude and workmanship of British and Indian.
