the best way to stay out of the guessing game loop is deffense rather said the kbd whif punishment play style but its realy hard to play that way when u have long range heat dash and smash ect
thats why you mix in sidesteps in ur kbd if you want to play it safe you have to eat +5 heat dash . I like to either throw out a ch so they would get ch if i think they'll use it. or a well timed step to get the back. like i said not easy but very rewarding.

As a beginner, do you have any tips for goal setting irl? I struggled to hit Fujin (my first Tekken, 6 weeks in) but want to hit local tournaments to grind properly. I expect to get washed but wanted to know some healthy beginner goals to shoot for if you had any in mind
First of all dont expect to get washed lol its good to be humble, but be confident in your skills. Some nice starter goals is your weaknesses. My weakness was I never whiff punished even though I saw them do it. Through constantly focusing instead of letting them whiff my muscle memory now tells me to launch them. Even like a jab. So I would go through your replays and see why you think you're losing and if not hit me up on discord or drop your tekken id. I would be glad to help. Discord aizen135
Fujin isn't beginner at all. Well, I guess it depends on the character but you're technically intermediate with a foot dipping into the advanced waters.
@@Laudplays ye i just say beginner cos i just have carried over pvp skill from smash and recently sf, but I’m barely starting to recognize moves in the move list. The amount of moves + speed/frequency of interactions in this game makes me feel like I’m getting water boarded (but I love it 😂)

Hey thanks for the video. It sounds like what you are saying is what I hear often: if you don’t know characters moves, you can’t exercise different options when it’s your “turn”. I’m a high purple but I’ve slowed down on ranked and just do quick matches now to learn match ups I don’t know. TBH though, it takes a TON of time to learn an opposing character. Sometimes hours. But I feel like this is the only way…bc it caters to my defense. Is this a viable strategy? It seems like it to me, but I’m just getting a little impatient learning everyone lol.
I would just focus on the moves you see a lot and getting caught a lot by. Like a string counter hit launching you. A lot of setups can be beaten by df1, high crushing setups. The most popular characters and less popular ones you just have to take on the chin. I do offer coaching since it’s a bit hard to get my head around everything rn.
Now thinking clearly I was talking about more of how many options you have then just block, mash to introduce mind games to each other.

Leroy has eveything to take the neutral there n Tekken 7, with Reina we have to keep advantage like akuma keep advantage with t.o.d. .you legitely with one touch mainy reacteable oki to punish his best option by a weak move and reapet again and again to perfect or a comback, with heat you can do chip damage to force your opponent an attak. It's like King has more normals and more umbreakeable throws.

I do have a script but sometimes I deviate from it I just need to edit out the parts with the fluff. I did all of it in one take so some editing because I don’t want to forget what I have in the moment.
