I did my clutch and all bushings last week, I can say it's a big difference in my g37. Love getting to walk around and view the cars in the showroom while I waited for them to bring out the parts. Very friendly and informative crew
I just installed this kit myself as well as the z1 diff cover. I did this in my garage and it took about 10 hours. It's a lot of work. Its a tedious job. You have to remove the exhaust and rear sway bar to make room for the diff. The hardest part is removing the oem rear diff bushing sleeve. I used a hack saw, air hammer, chiisle and a hammer. The chisle and hammer worked the best. Removing that bushing took 3.5 hours. The vent tube also took a while to seat into the cover. I froze the bushing and vent tube overnight and that definitely helped!
Had Z1 do this for me a week or so ago. Bushings failed and Gwinnett Infiniti wanted $3100 to replace. They would do the whole subframe. Z1 did a great job and used urethane for $688. So grateful for these guys. You Infiniti dealers out there need to buy the tool, the bushings and let Z1 train you. IMO.
I brought my car into Infiniti of Gwinnett to get my 2010 G37S Convertible cracked dash replaced (which I got at 20% off online from them) and of course they do the "free" inspection while it's in the shop finding the diff bushing needing replacement with the "tear of death". According to them: "Cause: Rear Sub Frame Diff mount Bushing Split Leaked Correction: Replace Rear Sub Frame Diff Mount Bushing, Bushing Kit $1880.06". So it appears that Infiniti now has a "bushing kit" and the price has come down to mostly labor. Z1 only does performance work and after a quick call, this counts! I was quoted $815 for parts and labor. They are open 8 to 5 M - F and 9 - 4 on Saturdays (appointment required). They told me to plan on 5 hours.
Hi Z1, My mechanic installed my rear z1 poly diff bushing but it pokes out towards the rear of car by about 3-4mm, not flat to the surface of the frame. Is this going to be an issue? Thx
Cars that sit a lot experience nearly as much wear and tear as cars driven daily; just in different manners & formats. IE: Anything rubber that sits stationary for extended periods of time will dry out/stiffen up leading to micro cracks in the rubber.
@@TheOceanX +1 Yep. I have a 2013 Nismo with 22,000 miles. After 4 hours of high performance driving yesterday, I changed the oil and did a nut and bolt check. I discovered that the rear bushing exploded and there was oil everywhere.... researching replacement options now.
So did I, and I don't beat on mine as well. I do "aggressive" driving some times. But I don't drive it regularly, but it is driven. I'm only at 48k miles on a 12 model and mine needs to be replaced..🤷♂️

I put the collars, the diff bushings, some z1 camber and traction arms on my g37 and it really livened up the car. feels much more solid and responsive
I’ve heard that the bushing broke after just one circuit run, could that happen? I bought one but seriously nervous after hearing that. What the estimated life?
Unfortunately not. The early Q50 was a V37 chassis, which was totally different than the Z / G. The '14-15 Q60 Coupe however shared the same CV36 chassis as the G37 coupe, so these bushings will work on those specific models.
Thanks for the reply, and sorry to be a bother. I own a 2015 Q50 AWD sedan. I should assume that the subframe bushings would also be different between my car and the G37 AWD sedan?
No worries at all! Yes, subframes and bushings are also completely different than the G37X. We have been investigating differential bushing and subframe upgrades for the Q's however this is a long-term project, so hold tight!
@@Z1Motorsports23 When using any type of lube to help press the subframe bushing into place, would it also not make it easier for it to slide out of place when in use, even if ever so slightly?
I have the thud in the rear :( It happens fairly often when shifting from 1-2 or 2-3. I can make it happen if i'm coasting and i let the clutch in and out upon engagement I hear a loud slam in the back. I have checked the rear bushing visually and its not leaking (no tear of death) there is a minor tear in it however. Could it still be the rear diff bushing thats causing the slam? 2013 g37 ipl 6-speed
It's very likely that the rear differential bushing is the culprit, in fact based off of your symptoms and the way you reproduce the issue I would say that's probably exactly what your issue is. Sometimes a tear of death may not be seen, especially if it started leaking some time ago and an underbody wash was done, washing away evidence of leakage. If the bushing itself has a tear it's pretty much guaranteed that it has puked in the past and the evidence has been washed away.
Z1Motorsports Right gotcha! Thanks for the reply I'm gonna be ordering that bushing and The rear sub frame inserts too. Hopefully tightening up everything back their solves the problem

Can't wait to order these. I gotta do all my Wheel bearings as well as the rear axles so i might as well change all the differential bushings
my Z still has that thud. It only happens when I am traveling, let off the accelerator and when I get back on I hear a thud.
I know is an old video but what about bushings for the q50 and q60?

Could you possibly post a video showing the noise transfer from the solid bushings?
The noise is bad when you put the tranny mount on. the other ones aren't so bad

if i bring in my z , how much would it cost for me to buy the solid bushings and have you guys install it for me . im pretty lazy thats why im asking.
do the solid bushings need any sleeves?
