Technically you killed 4 Brutes in the Maw as the game counts the 4 reactors as brutes for some reason. So while yes you didn't really kill anything, the game itself thinks you killed 4 brutes. I still would count it as a pacifist run though.
They are counted as Brutes due to Bungie making the reactors enemies with health. The reactors don't have an ID in the MCC post carnage report, so they just default to the first thing being Brutes.

@@Espartanica ah shoot :( well what about if you’re in single player pushing Arby onto the platform and betraying him? It’ll take a few seconds before he gets back up and you should be able to get the elevator high enough by that point
Honestly when I saw this video I started laughing, I just recently started my own pacifist run, I'm half way through H2, so I guess I was just beaten to it. That said I have a few things to say. First, I think this comes down to opinion but I personally go with whatever the kill feed says, and it says that when you're driving an ally around and they get a kill, that counts as your kill. So I think just taking a Hog and wing it isn't valid, at least for my own run I didn't count it. Taking allies on a vehicle and then hop off so they use it to kill when you're not driving is a good way around it though, which is something I did for the Metropolis Scarab. Next I did consider even harming an enemy directly in any way invalid. Plus the Stealth Elites in CE actually don't have Shields whatsoever, it's possible to instantly headshot them regardless of difficulty, so you really were hurting them there. And I actually thought Truth and Recon to be impossible as well but when that Elite arrived he got hit by a stray bullet which made the Marines see him and killed him without my help. But one question: How did you get past the prison block?! I had to do some major screwing and hoping for luck to make the enemies crossfire kill each other to get past it since the Marines don't follow you past the control bridge. You completely glossed over that so what happened? I'm only gonna watch to the point where I'm at, but I feel like theoretically it may be possible to do the Oracle by having the Heretic Leader's holograms crossfire kill the real one since I did see them hitting each other, but actually having that happen is unrealistic. Regret is impossible though and I'm gonna stop there for now.
Hey how come you didn’t do the Johnson glitch for the brutes on Crows Nest? I’ve done it several times, bringing him into the fight. I think it’s possible to have three different Johnson’s at once on that map

Lord Hood: Master Chief, I’m still reading hostiles in that area it’s been 8 hours, why haven’t you cleared them? Mister Keef: I can’t sir, it’s a challenge
33:23 use the barricade method, but when you push the button have friends through grenades at the sides, so that the AI tries to dodge the grenades but rolls onto the elevator
I haven’t seen the video yet but I remember when I was a kid I played all the flood levels in Halo 3 without killing any flood since I was mega obsessed with them so I can confirm they are possible. Although never try to do Cortana on legendary, just don’t, trust me, it’s not worth it. Those pure forms are brutal!
In my personal head cannon, the one marine that I got to the very end of High Charity without dying (from the prison section) got a huge promotion. I honestly just sat back and watched it kill elites and brutes by himself with a shotgun, but hunters were a problem I had to take care of
32:02 These parts *ARE* actually possible to complete, but only with the acrophobia skull. Basically, if you fly straight up the elevator shafts to the chieftains and their clans of stalkers and captains without pressing the buttons to activate the elevators, all of the brutes will be inactive and will just stand there without attacking you (or in the case of the second tower, they’ll attack you, but only if you stand in front of them, as they still won’t be able to move. From there, you have to push each of the brutes down the elevator shafts, which will kill them all instantly. It’s a tedious process, but it works.
Imagine being Chips Dubbo on some mission, suddenly two Spartans come to your aid in the fight and all they do it just stand infront of you and tank punches from enemies while shouting encouragements at you to shoot them, then afterwards they just hop away into the distance.
i am really happy that you guys brought up that Spark is alive and well in lore! he's apparently the most important character, only second to the librarian, which might be 343 playing favorites... anyways, great video! i wonder in crows nest if using a shield drain on the impossible room can make it easier for the brutes to die from random physics stuff with the boxes and barricades
On Crow's Nest, if one player stands back to keep the doors you came in from open, you could lure the hammer brute to where Johnson and the marined are
I’ve never managed to have the marines kill him though. It takes a lot to make them attack, and it’s also really hard to keep the hammerbro in that room longer than a few seconds
What they can probably do in the elevator scene in halo 3, is they can constantly switch weapons with the marines, because when you switch weapons with them, they pause for a brief moment, before doing any other action, but you’d just have to make sure to constantly switch weapons with them making sure they don’t move.
The modern speedrun path for Truth and Reconciliation involves boosting through the ceiling of the first room on the ship. No need to even shoot the sword elites
Have y'all at Rocket Sloth actually read through the entirety of the books? I really do recommend it, even if some seem dry. The background understanding that you can glean from them is brain-bending and game-changing.
For the Truth and reconciliation you could have just done the waith glitch to get outside the map and skip that first section so you don't have to shoot any enemies
You can bring allies to the end of Delta halo level (I like to save as much as them and bring them with me in my gameplay normally) and they will take care of the jackal snipers and honor guards if you give them sniper and rocket launcher. Sometimes they will just stop just before you reach the last area. But you can just push them to the last area. You can also bring the marines to the end of the level where you kill the first prophet. They will even enter with you and fight but you will still need to kill the prophet yourself. The last level can be completed by the AI as said in the video without using that method. But it will take a long time to kill and you will have to distract Tartarus so Johnson and the elite's can kill him
With bringing up allies up the elevator, at least on the second tower, you could try use the gravity hammer you get to force the ally. Maybe you can put a barrier between the ally and the gammer so you don’t kill the ally
21:20 did you do the Johnson glitch? It’s very hard and took me a while to do it requires a portable shield thing and you gotta block a exit, punch Johnson all the way the where the brutes are, and let him kill them (you may die multiple times doing this)
Funny fact: halo 3 uplift reserve master chief edition has a pelican drop off a warthog after the wraith firefight (After the bridge) so if you can get the soldiers to show the covenant haven then you can get an army with you for the final area.
If dont know if anybody knows this and it might be only possible on halo ce not anniversary, but you can get double marines in truth and reconciliation if you skip the 3rd fire fight and keep walking past the enemies to the fourth fire fight. You will get reinforcements and the original marines will eventually show up if they killed all the enemies from the 3rd fire fight. Only did it once over 20 years ago.
Halo: CE: Flood infection forms in 343 GS. They have to die in order to progress. Mission Failed Halo 2: Every Boss. Might be able to get the Marines to kill the Scarab crew, but the Heretic and Tartarus are solo battles. Can't recall if Marines can even make it to the Prophet, so that too (unless you can elicit Covie blue-on-blue).
I remember there being a thing in the regret boss fight where on easy or normal difficulty all you had to do was bored his chair and ride it a bit and he'd just randomly die even if you didn't punch him. Technically didn't kill him
for the elevator ride on oracle, you could've ran back to the ramp platform and let the elevator go down. Once it hits a certain level you can jump down to the elevator and jump down to the platform where you need to go anyway. It was a tip i picked up from halo completionist for laso runs and also for unique runs similar to yours
27:21 - 27:23 did that marines fuel rod shot just curve? or track? slow mo it DEFINATELY goes right a bit. EDIT - IT ABSOLUTELY CURVES RIGHT AND UP, 0.25 playback speed. watch it
@HAYLOW Fuel rods in Halo 2 and Halo 3 tend to track targets, especially when equipped by AI. You can see it more clearly in Halo 3 The Covenant, specifically in the Hornet section; the Banshee may shoot a projectile and it sometimes arcs around your Hornet.

for the elevator ride on oracle, you could've ran back to the ramp platform and let the elevator go down.
@@grandstrategos1144 i dont remember that, i guess its just been so long or i never paid that much attention. i swore they only arced downward but i could be wrong, correction, am wrong and this ^^ is proof. haha. i just dont ever remember it.
Perfect timing and length to watch while I eat sardines
Guilty spark is not a living thing
10:42 sure someone brought this up but if you just wait at the Scarab section a Pelican comes and rockets it
The marines at 24:35 to 25:00 were the highlight of this video lol
Fun fact: in the crows nest run killer room, you only have to kill the chieftain for the door to open
Doc?
Is that... is that... you?
(Also, yes, the gravemind does harvest Regret's memories, as it does with all of it's unfortunate prisoners. I think HiddenX' made a video on it.)
Love this challenge keep doing it
Take a shot every time he says “we were worried”
Bro you did answer your own question on truth & Rec, your challenge was to go without killing. Just break Invisible Mad Mans shield and boom, “No harm, no foul”- Del Walker.
Shooting isn’t killing so it’s not bad
its like saying in a court "Why'd you make him fall to his death?" "i did push him, I didnt make him die, that was gravity."
@@ltfreeborn not really
@@ltfreeborn 😂
I agree, shooting that elite didnt kill him. Its a no KILLING run not a no shooting.
This is why we check if the weapon calibration is working....
Looking at you Captain Keyes.

34:30 I think there’s a glitch to duplicate Johnson and he will fight for you. General Kidd made a video,”How to save Sergeant Johnson”.
on TaR, the doors the camo elites come out of is random so if you kept restarting level until they come out of the continuation door, you could abandon marines and sprint on
