He's always so positive in all his reviews. Almost feels like I'm watching an infomercial. I understand you don't want to be very negative since the people watching the video are obviously interested and want to hear positive things, but these cars can't ALL be great.
I've been using rentals for about 8 years, all different cars, I owned a 1999 Taurus at the time. I drove 2019 Fusion Titanium rental for 5 days, first car I wanted to actually buy, came back from family reunion and started looking for one, found a low mileage 2015, got a great price, I LOVE my car!
Little late to the party! But man just imagine this car with the twin turbo ecoboost v6 and the AWD system and suspension from the Focus RS. That would be a badass American Sports Sedan IMO.
+dcinhere Pretty funny I called this back in 2014. Check out 2017 Fusion Sport! It will have 325hp twin turbo ecoboost, with AWD and fortified suspension. HAHA LMAO. I must be psychic. www.caranddriver.com/news/2017-ford-fusion-photos-and-info-news
very proud owner of a 2013 ford fusion. amazing looks, i get stopped all the time and asked about it (have mine in ruby red). amazing looks, great tech, great driving feel, great engines, great fuel economy... what more can you ask for
Mine is a 18 Fusion Platinum and Ppl still think it’s a brand new luxury car! These cars are the best of both worlds. It rides like a Luxury Car & Drives & Handle like a Sports Sedan! I think Ford outdid the Nissan Maxima as the 4DSC💪🏽
I'm glad someone else actually really enjoys ford's sync system. It's actually really easy to use, well laid out, and the best touch screen system I used.
Steeda cold air intake, CPE front mount intercooler, Livernois Motorsports catted 3" downpipe, colder spark plugs, MSD coils, ATP direct bolt on big turbo upgrade, dyno tuning, upgrade your suspension and this thing can put down some impressive numbers. I have a 14 fusion titanium and I'm working on mine. I really love the car so far
Favorite feature in the fusion titanium is at night. The car turns the bright lights on if it senses there are no cars around and when a car is in view it turns them off for you too.
Great review as usual. Your reviews really do brighten my day up and put me in the drivers seat of many of the cars I'm interested in. Also, really informative without being overbearing. Very well put together video. Please keep up the excellent work.
When you shift to sport mode, you have to down shift or upshift manually so that the car doesn't shift for you automatically. This is for people who accidentally put it in sport mode, so they don't just drive around in first gear. However, the car will downshift automatically if you don't while coming to a stop.
I am the owner of a 2014 Ford Fusion SE with the 1.5 liter ecoboost engine! I work for a ford dealership and have driven then fusions with all 4 engines available and when you say the 2.0 shift for you your absolutely correct! The 1.5 ecoboost is plenty power for the car and doesnt do that shift thing in sport mode! I also got the model with the upgraded wheels and interior! Amazing car
my dad has the 2013 ecoboost fusion that his company gave him and he loves it. plenty of power and has an automatic with sport mode, it handles great, and if you put it in sport mode at knock it down to first gear and stomp the gas, you can chirp the tires.
Matt ive been a big fan for along time now and love watching your reviews and as I fan I would personally love seeing you change things up and see you do a review of a SVT FORD RAPTOR !!!
Every new Ford vehicle looks identical now. The Mustang looks like a 2014 Taurus the Fusion looks like Mustang. The Escape looks like the new Fusion. Who's designing these cars? Can I have their job? Seems easy.
+Visceral Venom I agree the fusion does resemble the Taurus in some ways but it is still a much curvier and sexier car. by far one of the best looking sedans I've ever seen in my life.
Nice review Matt ! I think we don't get these here in germany. Most people go for a VW Passat in this class, which is one of the best selling cars in my country. I think you'd like it just as much as the Fusion, which sure is a great looking car. Interior looks abit cheap to me, not sure why, just the lay out of that center console...Keep up the great work, buddy !
K_T Actually they are in the same league, I dont know about the standards of passats there but here they are in the same league along with skoda superb, Mazda 6, and the Volvo s60
A must have feature on the Fusion Titanium is the 19inch wheel option. Makes a good looking car even better. Also you get the conti pro tires with the 19inch rims and AWD. This makes it extremely more capable on those twisty roads. Borderline sports sedan then.
according to KBB the 2013 Ford fusion titanium is now worth around $18k sucks for the people who bought it new, but great for those looking to buy used
I Love My Ford Fusion Platinum! 2017-18 was the best years for these! My Car is the Luxury version and it drives like a Sports Sedan yet still has a great ride. Mine is FWD and around corners if you hold the lines the rear of the car rotates like a Focus ST! It drives like it has an LSD in the front axle
I know that in my ford escape 2013 it will shift for you until you shift so when he was stopped if he inputted to downshift it would put him in manual (first gear) then there would be no automatic shifting and he could have done a better start. If that makes sense.
Idk it's probably the best sedan in it's segment and price range not to mention I put a JMS boostmax and a Steeda air intake in mine and it will move got it over 300 ft lbs of torque for what it is it's an extremely fun car to drive. I know I can't find a sports sedan for 20k so I feel it's good value used.
Great video Matt!! I love the new body style of the Fusion! I'm not a ford guy honestly... But I think ford has really stepped up their game. This Fusion is definitely a massive improvement from the last one.
subaruwrxfan Just thought I let you know, the reason for many so fusions on the road is mainy because its very popular in the Rental Car business. Its model holds a large chunk within fleets like Enterprise, Avis and Hertz. I assume Ford is earning these contracts using aggressive offers and at the same strategically marketing their Fusion to rental customers. Ford has come a looooong way.
subaruwrxfan I think it automatically shifts from 1st to 2nd to prevent the driver from staying in 1st the whole time. My 2014 honda accord does that, it's pretty annoying for hard launches. But once it's in 2nd, the trans will hold any gear (besides 1st).
As always great review Matt, I'm glad to see ford cleaned up there myford touch system I see it was a little slow to respond when you were using it but can't complain to much about it you get what you paid for. Speaking of the touch screen I like how ford got rid of their old touch screen where you had to reach all the way out just to use it and in place put a much bigger screen and easier to reach well done ford
Sounds like the 2.0T was a great engine with the 2013-2020 Fusion. I drove a 2014 with the naturally aspirated 2.5 four pot with 175 horsepower. Pretty pokey unless you really get into the throttle.
I almost bought one of these, liked the new styling, kinda resembles an Aston Martin (my dream car). Love the engine choices. Sadly the car payment on a new one wasn't manageable.
@@jtrap9852 In the last 6 years my wife has only driven a few miles each year, so now the mileage is a speck over 50,000 and the car is still running strong and looks and rides like new. only the battery and tires have been replaced. All maintenance is done by the book. Hope you are as lucky with yours. High mileage usually brings more expensive repairs and replacements. Good luck
In USA everybody can have this, but here in Brazil only the upper middle class and rich people drive this car, this Fusion here is a synonymous of wealth.
I owned a 2013 Ford Fusion Titanium for about 7 months. It definitely makes a great first impression and is light years beyond what the previous model was. However, there were certain things that made the car feel "soul less" and sterile. I don't think that paddle shifters should be included on any car unless they behave like they should, and on this car they do not. Also, the engine is under-powered. If it had another 40-60 horsepower this car would be great. The Sync system performed "routine system maintenance" on me several times and left us without control over everything in the car for about 20 minutes while it did its thing. This left us on the side of the road 2x on long road trips while we waited for the navigation system to come back up and tell us where to go. There's a rumor going around that Ford is entertaining an ST version of this car, and I think that'd be the car I should have bought. Otherwise it looks great inside and out, but in the day-to-day driving the car is easy to fall out of love with.
Hi Matt, firstly say thanks for the review,i love the Ford Fusion ( Here in Europe call Mondeo ),It is a car that has everything to succeed: A different design also very efficient, a motor that meets and technological equipment and also a first. But have two question: The first question is i read the Fusion called also Contour and the secondly if the USA version have most changes between the European version?.
Soo they made the exterior way more aggressive and the previous generation but dropped the most powerful engine and the AWD. Did they fix it already? I remember this was the situation when they launched it
Very good review Matt! I still prefer my 2003 Taurus over the fusion, I have also had the chance to drive the new fusion with a 6spd manual 1.6 ecoboost, very enjoyable car to drive
My best friend had a 2010 Fusion SE & I loved her car. I hate the my ford touch (it's all great & dandy on the test drive, but damn it is a PITA to use on a daily basis.) I was with her when she totaled it (guy pulled out & we slammed into him at 45-50, totaled her car, airbags deployed, seat belt pre tensioners, etc etc & SYNC actually dialed 911. Pretty cool stuff) and when we car went on the tow truck I felt like I lost a friend. I don't really like the new fusion, those gauges are horrid and that center stack is a pain. I also liked the design and driving dynamics of hers.
can you rate the cpu's processing speed? the amount of ram they have, and even the graphical capabilities? (type of graphics card) of the head units. I think this set you apart and give real word perspective to potential buyers.
Sorry your not a fan of the last gen fusion, but I have a 2011 sport and it handles extremely well! I've driven to Michigan several times in it, going though West Virginia mountains, and it takes it well
I'm somewhat curious from its more upscale amenities and turbo engine that it punches above its weight. SubaruaWRXfan, how does it compare to some compact executive sedans like the Mercedes C300, Lexus IS or Audi A4? Not only in features but in terms of driving dynamics? Also is this particular model you tested AWD? Thanks!
I may not have seen all of your videos, but I have seen many. This does not seem like the usual car that you review. It doesn't strike the average person as "exciting". But you rocked that shit anyway.
Hey matt for your weekly update you should look into the news about Ferrari putting turbo's on the majority of new models starting the next year or two, including new hybrids ......pretty interesting stuff. :)
i dont know if u get the mondeo over there but we dont get the fusion btw im in the uk. p.s. we do get a fusion but it is totally different to this one, it isnt even a saloon.
How ironic and awesome timing! I have the same exact model & color of the Fusion and I have been driving it for 2 weeks now while the BRZ is in the shop! In terms of a BRZ vs. Fusion comparison, the Fusion is miles ahead in terms of seat and road noise comfort compared to the BRZ, but the Fusion can't handle, shift, and give you adrenaline like the good ole BRZ does (: not to mention the Fusion's FWD torque steer.. golly that wheel spin is not confidence inspiring. If you leave the traction control off on the car, there is little wheel spin, however even if you get close to the redline, the Fusion will auto shift up for you even in sport mode.
Agree this could be the next cheaper car you can have in the USA it's not expensive and pratically all can afford it then it's practical, reliable, enough fast (not for the 0-60 time but an average top speed of 140 mph) and spacious for the family. Ford Europe decided to call it "Mondeo" firstly started the selling in the UK then in the rest of Europe but we still don't see many around.
with a car that only goes 0-60 in 6 secs my advice to all owners is to just loosen the suspension so it can take corners better. With a car that slow you don't have to worry about having to be that tight.
@@sna-vsndlx88 this was actually a huge L lmao, I was 16 at the time I made the comment so I couldn’t finance it myself. When I had my sister do it she couldn’t cause her credit score wasn’t high enough but she got me a 2005 Chevy Malibu Maxx. I eventually lost my job at Walmart so I couldn’t pay for it, it ended up getting repo’d. It was hard for me to find a job until I found one a month later then my grandma got me a 2005 Buick LaCrosse from Facebook marketplace. It’s currently having problems rn as well so I’m just waiting till I turn 18 next year so I can finance the fusion myself
subaruwrxfan The intro is much, much better now. If you are going to keep with that intro then the long "montage" of the car should be shortened. The montage starts at 0:20 and ends at 0:50. Make it a good 15-20 seconds instead, start with a quick clip of the side of the car, and then take interesting shots that can't be seen with a quick search on Google. System.out.println ("Sending my 2 copper discs through the wire.")
It is not turned up. The Turbo is a little smaller then the other ecoboost 4's. If you wanna get it to go crank the Boost up. Give it a heavy tune. Then it should get up and go no problem
daDonn Aston Martin designed the grill using Ford's money, you know, cuz Ford owned them. Making it Ford's intellectual property. No matter what you say, its Ford's design.
While I'm not the biggest Ford fan, this Fusion, the Edge, and the F250 Powerstroke are my most favourite Ford cars. David (ThatDudeInBlue) is getting me into Mustangs little by little, but I can't blame him. They are better cars now than they were several years ago (IMO)
I'll have to say.. Ford is really stepping up their game
now there a bunch of sell outs who don't make cars anymore ironic
Now they’re horrible

U know its a luxury eco car right, if u want that go buy a older v8 amg or something

What is that black car at the start of the video?
Before the GTR. Is that a jaguar?
Did you get one of those things for smooth panning shots? Looks great!
You guys have any suggestions for used coupe cars under $15,000. Like g35 or 350z.
GTR
Gtr won’t be 15k lol
with a car that only goes 0-60 in 6 secs my advice to all owners is to just loosen the suspension so it can take corners better. With a car that slow you don't have to worry about having to be that tight.
matt have you heard of the new scion frs 1.0?
Can't wait until it comes to Ireland as our new Mondeo! :)
He should review the two door ford fusion model
You know
The one rebranded as a mustang
This is gonna be my first car boys 😊
hows it been?
8:26 Please keep your mouth like that and talk like Tony Montana. You would be the most badass car reviewer ever.
I totally dig the whole titanium series :) so is that basically the same engine as the focus st?
superextremelaser
Different tune, the ST has the wick turned up a bit more but otherwise they are mechanically identical.
Can you do a Ford fiesta st review if you get the chance?
subaruwrxfan The intro is much, much better now.
Then it should get up and go no problem
great review thank you!
Hyundai genesis coupe review!!!! i really hope you find one to review
Ingot Silver? I really do like that color.
Oh and +RCGCarReviews dat Fusion Doe.
Is this 2013 a goodbuy? scared of the transmition?
Can you review a 99-00 Honda Civic si
That would be a great review!
It's a good car as long as you're not trying to have fun.
Evo IX at the beginning there? =O
Thanks! This really helped!
Isn't that the same engine as the Focus ST's
Subruwrxfan, could you do a
Dodge Dart review please.
Yo Aston Martin, quite like your grille - mind if I borrow it?
daDonn
Aston Martin designed the grill using Ford's money, you know, cuz Ford owned them. Making it Ford's intellectual property. No matter what you say, its Ford's design.
Dear subaruwrxfan can you review a vw passat.
Why aren't they all just called one name instead of being Mondeos and Fusions?? Nice review tho
Did u know your hands can move independently?
We need a "Let's turn on this backroad" shirt XD
I always get my friends when one passes by... I go OMG LOOK AT THE ASTON MARTIN
I love my fusion
