Been driving a Fusion for a week as a rental car and it is awesome. The rental is an SE with the luxury package and I still think it is a good solid car that is well loaded and not costing as much as the Titanium trim level. Nearly 9 grand less for the SE with the luxury package than the Titanium to be exact and still just as enjoyable.
My cousin has Ford Focus with 546,000 miles on it. It's blowing our minds, because it has never been in a shop yet. He uses it for deliveries. Isn't that amazing?
almost had one for 17,000 with 50k km's in canada. until my local ford dealer said 620 a month for 66 months. that's 41k... or also 25% interest rate. still got my $150 bike from walmart thou!
No problem Joe. One of the things Roman and I do is respond to as many questions and comments as we can (within reason). It's how we improve and grow. Thanks for watching!
Oh hey on a side note, thanks for replying to me without just cussing me out or something because that's what just about every other person on you tube does that replys to comments.
It really pisses me off when people call ford's cars junk, cheap, unreliable, Chevy is better, ugly, recalled shit boxes and slow But almost every review from reviewers is 4 to 4.5 but mostly is rated 5stars I just don't understand people If ur gonna criticize Ford's cars at least research and use common sense Don't just say Ford's cars are unreliable because my father has a explorer v8 since 2007 not once did it break down And a freestyle from 2007 also never had a problem I'm not to crazy about ford but pleas just don't criticize without research.
***** ex I want to buy beats but I know they aren't that great sound quality but senheisers sound better but get less attention Logically I would get the senheiser or I would get fouled by beats and assume they sound good and get them
Jack Frost my freind has a fully loaded 2012 Sport AWD, he used to own a 2012 Accord Sport, and he reports the Fusion is faster! Alot faster, tighter, sportier feeling. His parents got the car for him, the accord. He was more pleased with the Fusion. He may get a 2014 Titanium in a few years but he loves his Sport! Ive gotten the chance to drive it and its amazing feeling. Its very tight, smoothe, and really has pickup. Plus its very sharp looking. He was so embressed when his parents got him a Honda. I would be too.
I got one with cross traffic alert, lane keeping assistance and automated cruise control which are the only options it doesn't automatically come with for $18,000. The catch is it had 14,000 miles on it from a 2 year lease. It's my favorite car I've ever owned. I w8sh Ford gave better warranties but I plan on buying the same car again once this one is done.
Fords last a long time. I got 14 years out of one and it looked like it just came out of the showroom inside and out. There wasn't a scratch on it nor a tear in the interior. My brother got over 300,000 miles out of two T-birds and mine was an '87 Escort GT with 257,000 miles. My brother's '63 Falcon had 250,000 miles on it when he sold it. People who buy Fords keep them.
this is the kind of car that I would drive everyday and feel good, like every bit of it, I don't care about the other stuff (bmw, merc, audi)...this is just IT...
Awesome car! But, seriously everyone forgets about the 2010 motor trend car of the year, 2010-2012 Fusion. The fastest their was, the Sport. A Fusion Sport ripping down the road with any color, and the smoked grille, thats hot. Dual chrome sport exhaust, huge V6, sporty ride, tight suspension, everything makes it perfect. PLUS you dont get the My Ford touch, and all those kind of things that make the car worse. Which I mean, the more technology in a car = the more issues youll get later on. Fusion has always been a huge sucsess. Since 2010, it was car of the year. So it has to be AWESOME quality, even six years after. I even still love the new Fusion, their sharp! And very nice, but it just doesnt appeal to me on how people forget the old one. The Fusion SPORT gets 0-60 in 6.3 seconds. The Fusion Sport costed 36K fully loaded, but thats ALOT of car for the money. Trust me.
I'd love to see a test this winter when there is snow on the ground comparing the AWD systems of several makes of cars (Ford, Toyota, Subaru, Audi, Acura, Mercedes, etc.) to see how they all compare on both snowy roads and in deep (1'+ snow)
Subaru interiors are understated. My family dropped ford due to the overwhelming cost of ownership. Multiple repair shop trips later we traded our 2005 F-150 for a 2013 Forester. We also have a 2009 Legacy (awesome btw) and I have a 98 Outback with 212,458 miles and its still going strong. I have a feeling that ford won't be around for very long. As for driving dynamics, our cars eat corners for breakfast.
A stunning looking car in white, release has been delayed in Europe because of factory closures until 2014; maybe the next Ford Falcon in Australia? as the current car is going out in 2016.
Europe and Australia don't have this model yet (still the 2007/08 Mondeo). It's at least another 12 months before it's available in Australia. It will also be the replacement for the Ford Falcon...thankfully not the Taurus when Ford winds up prediction in Australia in 2016.
You placed the engine cover on the ground but then it fell. Probably scratching it!!! Try to be careful next time!! Enjoyed the video. You guys do a great job on the reviews.
Something interesting, the 1.6 liter engine on the ford site shows the power on the expensive premium fuel, but on the 1.5 on regular fuel it produces more torque and the same horsepower. It does have a higher powerband, but this just shows some clever marketing.
It's the top of the line trim model. I'm sure you can get a sunroof for a couple hundred more, some people don't like sunroofs (myself included). No need to shop luxury and waste money on a name. This has all the features.
Frankie Fusion is not here in India yet, the 22 mpg I got is from IOWA state driving in USA itself, so if in moderate traffic itself its 22 mpg then Indian traffic it will be 20 mpg or so, and thats not good, but considering the luxury I get in Fusion i will happily sacrifice mpg, also in India Fusion might come with 2.0 TDCi diesel engine with 163 hp and 356 ft pounds of torque @2000 rpm, and if turbo lag is minimal the car will average around 25 mpg in city and 50 mpg in highway
In theory, yes, you could put premium in your car; it could make it perform the slightest bit better, but you probably wouldn't notice any difference compared to using 87 Octane.
i actually like fusion until i read the comments,i am confused now,Someone tell me please 2014 Fusion or 2014 nissan rogue? i like these 2 cars and i know that both are poor reliability but which one more reliable?
LOL yes. Just visited the auto dealership where I live, fully loaded 2013 SHO, 402A package, 19 miles, 28k. You don't have to believe me, but it's true.
All in all whatever people, might say I am a damn car fanatic,my work permits me 2 travel globally 4 many works and after jobs done my passion is driving and I ve driven lots of luxury cars as well(Audi,BMW,Mercs,Jags I own 1,etc) and I have 2 say that Fusion is a real car thats bridges the gap between luxury car and family car,its almost like we are getting a Jaguar or Aston martin 4 the family car price tag, only car thats close 2 Fusion is Passat, but its led down by 2 classy German design
4 all those who hate Fusion, Fusion might overtake accord and camry and might become best seller in USA by 2016, there are obvious reasons 4 it 1.Looks like Jag and Aston workd 4 Ford, guys looking good is good and in my eyes Fusion is sexiest car u can ever get below 40k looks better than even Acuras and infinitis damn sure 2. AWD+turbo+2nd best FWD car steering(Mazda holds best steerin)means its all weather capable and has more than enf power and low end torq is gr8 so no need to revv the engin
I would say Fusion or Altima and forget the Camry. The Camry is for people who would otherwise be pedestrians but prefer to be in the seated position. That's why you have to slow down for them when you're behind them.
Because Everyone uses the sunroof all the time right? Especially in colorado. Sunroofs are novelties. Both of my cars have them, And I used them once when I first got them, or when someone else opens it for the fun of it. I live in sunny California.
I paid 15k for my Fusion. 13 titanium. I love itttttt. But it does throw fuel pressure codes smh & finding tires 235/45/r18 are shit to find. Especially finding a rim
@@richl1319 i got mine for 13,5k In Can $$ 2013 titanium blue 95k kilo ( not miles) still have 1 1/2 year of warranty for free .. and i have the 19'' rim .... about 900 to 1300 for a set of 4 .. (tires) but man that car is just perfect for me..
We know the answer and you'd be very surprised by the facts. We couldn't make up this answer if we tried. BTW: You are way off...that's all we'll say. No, actually we'll give you a hint. It has to do with two Scottish Brothers who both design cars for a living.
We bought an SE w/ the 2.0 Eco... looked at the Titanium but wasn't worth the money imo. Loaded SE is much cheaper, and w/o awd is quite quicker. I have a vbox and clocked 6.2 to 60 when it was broke in (0 altitude South FL lol), but it's so effortless, just torque everywhere like a diesel, little nudge on the highway and your easily passing people. Averaging 25 mpg in heavy city/hwy traffic. Drove the Accord V6 which was a little quicker, but liked the Fusion better
Nathan, in Europe we don't see Fords cars as luxury by any means. They are not even on the same page with the luxury ones but in the same category as Opel, Peugeot and Citroen - every day cheap cars.
@paul clarkson..maybe it's location? Our Ford dealership quickly responds to anything. Then again you can have good workers and bad workers but where I live, people are very satisfied with the Ford dealerships. Quality I do agree, but I would say more with Honda. I've had a toyota corolla, I got stranded within 30,000 miles :/ alternator and battery needed to be replaced, toyota didn't want to help. But I do.agree, Honda has always treated us well.
I wish Ford would make an SHO version or an SVT version. I would be all over it. But, if I am going to pay this much, I would much prefer a Taurus S.H.O.; more bang for the buck and a lot more luxury. Just a personal preference...
DevPack I do think so. I test drove this and the Taurus, and chose the Taurus because of the better quality interior, and the luxury feel that came with it.
It's a nice looking car and no doubt drives great, but at 36K I'd take a second look at an AWD Volvo T5 or a modestly-equipped Audi A4 first. 36K would be a hard trigger to pull on this car, IMHO.
I'll stick to my '12 taurus. But next, I'll get a taurus sho :D BTW I loved the old fusions.. I almost bought one of the last new '12 loaded sports in the pearl white, but it was about $2k more than I could finance. Which, at 21 at the time, and using no cosigner that time.. I wasn't too mad about.
guys I feel like the final rating system needs some improvement, why bother having 4 rates if only 2 are ever used? To me, you lease a car that is fun but has poor reliability and does not hold its value, while you buy one if its Japanese and resale easily. You guys use buy it/lease it more like "love it/like it ". Anyways, I appreciate your overall hard work but just less in this part of the show. And I would rent an exotic car that I just cant afford, so "rent it" would be my top rate.
To everyone getting offended when people call American car cheap and a pile of s*** it's true. You're telling me a Ford Fusion is 36k? I can go out and buy myself a car that they care about the craftsmanship, not how much profit they can make. Example, Audi, bmw, even Volkswagen for christs sake. I can get a completely fully loaded Jetta for under 30k. You let someone drive that fusion and then drive a comparable priced car such as a vw, Audi, etc. and tell me what they say. Everyone says buy American quit supporting foreign, then either build some quality cars or stop being so damn greedy and make the prices a hell of a lot cheaper.
There are good europeans and americans cars but best are japanese and some koreans. Its more difficult u find bad car japanese dan european or american.
The running joke with this car is that when Ford sold off Aston Martin and Jaguar to the Indian Tata brand, they kept a few of Aston Martin's design engineers, who were used to make this beauty.....fact or fake? who knows xD
@@richl1319 I guess they're considered kinda more highendy than Asian cars ... Something a lil more highend than a VW and a little less than a Volvo level maybe... 😁

Unbelievable styling. Reminiscent of something between a pit viper and a shark.
they take off the engine cover so you can see it and when they pan around it they have it back on.what was the point?

Joe, it's the quickest way we can communicate acceleration, engine response and real world effects on a vehicle's dynamics. It's fun too.
Looks JUST like my car! I love mine to pieces! Great review as always guys!
For many viewers, the exhaust note is important. It imparts character, power and (sometimes) hints at performance potential. Besides, it's fun.
No problem Joe. One of the things Roman and I do is respond to as many questions and comments as we can (within reason). It's how we improve and grow. Thanks for watching!

2011 F-350 trouble free @ 135,000 mi.

2011 Fiesta 1.6L trouble free @ 63,000 mi.

I got my '13 Fusion Titanium last Feb. Great car for commuting and was not 36K more like 32
How was your ownership experience, did you have any major problems?
this is the kind of car that I would drive everyday and feel good, like every bit of it, I don't care about the other stuff (bmw, merc, audi)...this is just IT...
that sound from i4 engine, thats amazing
Looks way to sexy to be called overpriced!!!
My 2014 fusion is se model with ecoboost turbo engine the best car i ever had
cortes gerardo I've got that exact same car, love it!
I had a 2014 with the 1.5 and I loved it too

I love that Platinum White paint, it looks great!
Canada gets an SE Package with AWD and the 2.0liter...much less pricey than the Titanium.
That's really cool. I had an 86 Escort GT. And I really loved it.

Mine stickered for 37,500 but the ford guys let me have it for 35,200. No regrets so far, love this car.
Agreed
The Fusion Titanium has an options list a mile long. You would figure that the Titanium would have most stuff standard.
Does your tester include the safety tech (adaptive cruise, lame keep, park assist) for that price?
We have a bunch of Corolla videos coming out over the next few days!
To everyone Ford owns Austin, nothing wrong with making a more affordable version
do you consider the newly launched cadillacs in europe luxury? or just cheap american metal (hope not)
hows the dual clutch/ powershift transmission during low rev low gear, that has been plaguing ford focus
Europe and Australia don't have this model yet (still the 2007/08 Mondeo). It's at least another 12 months before it's available in Australia. It will also be the replacement for the Ford Falcon...thankfully not the Taurus when Ford winds up prediction in Australia in 2016.
So which one was better... Fusion manual or Accord Sport manual?
You placed the engine cover on the ground but then it fell. Probably scratching it!!! Try to be careful next time!! Enjoyed the video. You guys do a great job on the reviews.
There is a bit of roll-back on steep hills and it can be clunky in heavy traffic. For the most part, it's pretty snappy.
Nathan and Roman,Did you guys review a WRX or an STI?
Something interesting, the 1.6 liter engine on the ford site shows the power on the expensive premium fuel, but on the 1.5 on regular fuel it produces more torque and the same horsepower. It does have a higher powerband, but this just shows some clever marketing.
can i put premium fuel on a 1998 honda prelude? dose it make my engine perform better?
@The Fast Lane Car - how is the turning radius on this thing? Does it turn on a dime?
Nobody eats dime bars any more.
The front has a similar look to Aston Martins but the rear looks way different it looks more lifted and Aston Martin looks sleek and flat
Nathan -- I'd agree on the lease it, and for $35k+, consider the Lincoln cousin MKZ. (It might be around 5 grand more for the same features.)
Ford has been building some great cars whom ever is their lead engineer, my hat goes off to him. Great job Ford!
Do yall think can get your hands on a 2013 armada
does it come with the active park assist?
When are you going to review the 2014 Toyota Carolla???
this car can be found for 19,999 now with very very low miles!!!! :)
Maybe in Florida where all wheel drive cars do not hold their value as well as a very snowy state like mine.
LemThurdy420 just got mine for 15,5 in texas lol
LemThurdy420 I got mine for 18,000 with 39,000 miles on it
LemThurdy420 you can get one of these with ~60k miles for 9-10k in snowy mass rn
LemThurdy420
It can be found for $10,000 now
Awesome and funny review I loved this
What about E85? FLC never tests cars running on biofuels.
It's the top of the line trim model. I'm sure you can get a sunroof for a couple hundred more, some people don't like sunroofs (myself included). No need to shop luxury and waste money on a name. This has all the features.
I'm a good sport so I won't say anything back but let me tell you, those grocery store corners are pretty intense! :D
It's funny how Nathan takes off the engine cover, but for the close up they show footage with the cover on the engine

@Nathan Alden, can you guys do a review on the 2013 Chrysler 200 S V6 & 0-60
The last gen fusion was wicked good this onne just has the front end of an aston marton
When this goes on sale in the UK, ladys and gents, welcome the new age Cosworth 4x4.
Can this engine fit 2014 transit connect
you can compere it with the hyundai sonata turbo , the sonata turbo cost 27k for the limited

I agree "Lease It" the price is WAY too expensive. Look for a 1-2 year old used one under 36K and slap on a manufacture extended warranty.
You could. You'd still be spending a few thousand more since the SHO starts at just a hair under 40k before any options.
What if we use plus gas
With the proper tune, you could. But the stock engine is tuned for regular gas and it would just be a waste of money to buy premium.
Just snagged one for 14k/60 000km. Pretty ecstatic
Without that Aston Martin grill, nobody would be buying these things.
This might be the best alternative for an A4 Quattro.

BTW I loved the old fusions..
I can tell you what is say, and im from Germany! I dont give a damn about our on Car companies! Do you know why? Because they are extremly overrated!
"In Europe they consider these high end vehicles."
No, we don't.
Are these top sedans in Europe
@@richl1319 I guess they're considered kinda more highendy than Asian cars ... Something a lil more highend than a VW and a little less than a Volvo level maybe... 😁
Ranek Inpinewoods I see good to know 😆
I very like this car.
For that money I'd rather spend a little extra and get the SHO Taurus twin Turbo,Turned up of course !
They already have
