Hey! Great video, are you able to provide the link/contact of the guy who did the update configuration? I don’t see it in the description, I already have the headlights just need to get them updated. Thanks!
YES! So how did you get the matrix headlights? just ordered from service lol? AND this config change seems complicated for a normal person... your friend who works for Tesla did it for you? So again.. a normal average person without connections cannot do it.
Very interesting my dude, changing a config on late models I didn't think was possible as the MCU's are supposed to be locked. Makes me wonder what other options there could be to change in the configs that usually you could only do on 19's or earlier. Take it easy, Casey
@@reidtomasko3857 sounds reasonable! Where I’m living, matrix was just activated. Would matrix work as well, and the car receive new updates in this regard?
@@reidtomasko3857How would they do that? I scheduled a service appointment but that is 3 weeks out. I purchased the car used and the previous owner must have upgraded the headlights then the factory settings for the new owner must of defaulted?
Hello. Absolutely amazing content 😍. I messaged the guy that did the coding for you, but he did not reply 😭. I really want to do the swap but will need the coding done... Can you please help as i would love if he would answer and get mine done as well. Thank you
Do not do this.. I had a model 3 and I had to purchase a 2024 Y (3 got totaled) and this is a complete downgrade.. It's not as bright when compared to the old M3 and what's worse is that there is major banding when on high beams (literally looks like a shutter blind) and large black spots on low beams. I called Tesla and they acknowledged the issue and they sent me videos and pictures of other Model Ys with the same issue. I cannot believe how idiotic this is and how poor the quality of these headlights are. I would have never purchased another Tesla but unfortunately my preferred cars (R2 or Macan) are not available yet. Not to mention FSD is total crap and I paid 7k$ for that.. Uggh.
In Europe with Matrix is totally different game and it is incredibly good with the Adaptive option. I hear that Tesla is trying to bring the adaptive option to USA as well.
@@PizzaMan5000the technicisn went back to the showroom and tested 5 different cars and sent me pictures and said all cars are exhibiting the same affect. He and I also talked about alignment but thought it would not work because the shutter blind affect is horizontal and you can chance the vertical orientation and big dark spots won't go away with any alignment anyway.

Hey Chris, epic to see you here, Just ordered on eBay and yes you need to know someone who works for Tesla or know how to edit configs!
@@reidtomasko3857 haha ty brah. One day.. one day I'll have the matrix without the tesla hacking haha
Will the light show now give you the “Tesla” script that the matrix cars would do, or is it the old back light show?
Yes it fully works

Yep you can do it on them all
Oh what's up Casey!
@@WinstonsGarage Yo yo!
Really interesting!! Great video. I love your content.
Thanks fam!
Will this void the warranty and how much
It won't
is that height adjustment just matrix control or is there a motor in them?
that is just for matrix
really like your videos is it possible you can make a video if possible about retrofitting Intel to AMD ryzen processor in tesla model 3 😃?
Good idea
This is really cool.
Really cool! Does this also give you the adaptive high beam?
Sure does
Please provide the contact for the update.🙏🏼
Cant tesla install them
service mode - Re-install update. Will that program the headlight ECUs?
Nope you need to have the config updated
If I install this on my 2018 do I need to get Tesla to activate it
Yes
Shouldn’t this in theory work on a 2020 M3 pre facelift?
Yes any 2018-2023 model 3
@@reidtomasko3857 could your friend connect to my laptop? And at what cost
Does your friend help remotely installing for other people? And how much would he charge
@@thekalleogerg Yes, $200-$400 per change I believe

Won’t update the ecu firmware on headlights any ideas?
You need to have Tesla update the config

I upgraded my Model S to matrix and they were so much better, maybe it's just a y/3 issue?
You just need a headlight alignment.

Have you tried the new highland lights? The headlights plugs haven’t changed, curious if it will light up.
I have not!
