Sounds great, but I do love the look of the triple stacked end cans of the more basic bikes like the Rosso. That’s part of what makes them look special.

I did a fair bit of research before deciding which race can to get for my F3. In the end I went with a Zero exhaust as its practically identical to the stock one. It cost £750 and was hand-built by the guy who runs the company in Ashford, Kent. I had to wait 2 or 3 weeks for it to arrive, but it was worth the wait as it looks lovely. It is bloody loud though!

I have a 2020 version and the brakes are phenomenal, also didn't want electronic suspension, bought an ohlins c-spanner to set up perfectly for my weight, these bikes are the closest to race bike handling on the road you can get.
I agree with that, just turn the screws, also less maintenance!

I have bought the Rosso version! The bike is amazing and to me the RR does not justify its price because its the same as the Rosso with carbon fairings, there is no functional difference… To be called the RR they should have put Öhlins suspensions front and rear, an Öhlins Steering Damper and also a Race ECU with more hp that would worth the extra R name… The brakes behave just as the MCN test rider described… thats one big issue to be solved by MV… Brembo calipers with Nissin master cylinders don’t work well…The brake levers feel sluggish and inconsistent… The TFT dash is too slow to initialize every time you start the bike and the bluetooth connection with the MV App + Headsets should also be improved… To me because of price and color the Rosso its definitely the option to go with! I have fitted a Full Titanium exhaust (Termignoni headers with a SC project S1 slip on) which lowered the weight from 173kg to 166kg increasing the power by 10 hp! Its a perfect power to weight ratio! Fast, light, smooth power delivery on a very stable bike and all of this in the greatest looking sport bike ever designed! Amazing review by MCN! Congrats! 👏🏼✌🏼

ohlins front and rear would make this a 40k bike
It does come with Race ECU, he did not know to mention it, all MV race kits come with race ECU to my knowledge. They over fuel at low rpm in road use according to MV,s advice to dealers. Agree 100% Rosso is best buy, RR needs more for the money.
MV's thing for me is the exhaust per cylinder look

As Suzuki still makes the GSXR750 how about a new one, yes I understand it is still “old school”, however it would make for a better comparison as in my opinion the Suzuki is the best all round sport bike. I might be biased as I did race them when the WSB were 4 cylinder 750 cc Japanese bikes and the L twin 916. 👍😎🇦🇺

It was left behind by miles in all departments by the Pani.
The only thing speaking for it, is price and comfort but that's about it.
I'm a gixxer owner and love mine for what it is, but times have moved on and don't see Suzuki wanting to upgrade it anymore..

A corvette does the same thing as a Ferrari or Lambo. Exotic cars and bikes feel special as they pull on your heart strings. These are rare, unique bikes, no mods needed. You do not see on every corner. An exotic race bike with a 3 year warranty
Finally someone mentions how loud ADV bikes and Tall-rounders get on motorways. Really thought that there was something wrong with me. Lovely review and lovely bike, but how does one justify buying one when the Panigale V2 is around ?

@@NudaMan A Panigale V2 is 16 grand in the UK, 4 grand cheaper than the F3. That's a lot to pay for an extra cylinder. I do like a triple, but not that much more than a V2. Besides, it's not as if the F3 platform was all new.

I have both a V2 and superveloce 800, euro 5 which is identical bike to F3 other than fairings, they are both fabulous bikes, but chalk and cheese, MV better road bike, and better road engine, better road oriented riding position, more road compliant suspension. V2 far superior track bike, harsher riding position, harsher suspension, engine more 2 stroke like power builds and then bang, about 3.5k rpm power band, MV has more refined power delivery over V2 , but a bit less of a rush,V2 is pure ducati, extreme handling and grip limits and excellent electronic package .Superveloce is about 2.7k more than ducati new, and it shows in paint quality and detail touches.

Nicely nuanced review. Well done Neevsey. MVs aren’t for inexperienced riders and, as a niche offering, they only reward those who know exactly what they want & understand what they’re getting.
Pro tip: buy an ex demo or a low mileage example and avoid the sticker shock. And ignore the out of date myths, the main issue with running a modern MV is finding a decent service point.
If you intend to keep you may aswell service it yourself. Even desmo systems on Ducati's are easy enough to work on. Make your own potato stamp and stamp your own service book.
This is a nice video and great how you capture the engine roar. But where are your full leathers on a supersport?

2003, i walked out of the Kawasaki dealer with a brand new ZX-6RR being loaded in the back of my truck.(June in Florida). Out the door with a tag, a new helmet, jacket, gloves and straps for $10,300.... The 2020 R6, just the fkn bike, tax and tag pushed it over $16k. But they were nice enough to give me a t-ahirt and it does wonders being used as a rag to wash the wheels.

We have just finished fitting and putting the bikes in my works new MV showroom, the f3's are beautiful bikes , very tempted by an f3 myself, although it makes sense that they are working on a new F4 ... the brutale 1000 already has the chassis and engine for it 🤔

First thing caught my eye was that brake res sitting under the clutch case. All those shrouds and cowling and they couldn't disguise it a little for the money?? Incredible soundtrack regardless 👍

I considered ordering this, but I’m glad I didn’t. I think it’ll be great for the street rider that occasionally does a track day or two, but there are better options for a pure track bike at the RR’s price point.

In the 150hp range what would you suggest for a track/ twisties bike?
Nothing beats the roar of the triple, coming from Yamaha Tracer 900 GT.
The rear brake is a problem on virtually every 3 cylinder MV if they are unused for a period of time (winter lay ups , sat in showrooms ect)air gets trapped in abs pump, is so common MV put a bleed nipple on ABS pumps now, interesting to see you have front brake travel as well, my new superveloce front brake, new bike from last October was fine until winter lay up and now is like this one needs one pump to hard lever, now ,no air in system, I think faulty Nissan brake master. My 21 dragster front is fine, also back brake needed bleeding as well. There is a solution on MV forums to stop this though.

Probably issue with specific programming for this bike because continental makes the ABS units for BMW's S1000 series and the brakes on those bikes are phenomenal
Fantastic review Neevesy - gotta love MV they do something that no other manufactures does, create truly unique head-turning bikes. Ok maybe Ducati but MV are the best for exotica! The standard bike looks miles better I'd take that over this one and save £7k. Laughing
Nice bike, nothing to say, beautiful review as always neveesy but for the same amount of money considering that is a bike track focused I'll buy the new 2022 GYTR R6.
That's my very personal and humble thought.
Firstly I'll say I love it. Lots of Italian premium flair with the bragging rights and it's something different and special in it's own right.
I agree that it's not worth the money considering the lack of bells and whistles.
It's one I'd buy and cherish mostly as a garage queen fair weather rider if I had money to throw away.
It's gorgeous and looks lots of fun though.

Its was immaculate, low mileage etc!.....then I looked at having it serviced ...where and how much.!...bought a Triumph Street Triple 675 instead.....I'm a happy bunny

But I have often heard that the Agustas are very vulnerable.

Also the wing section on the fairing makes the bike look fatter and not as good. But this can be said of all bikes that do a similar thing.
MV Agusta make absolutely gorgeous bikes...they just need to get the prices considerably down
Seems awfully expensive but when you consider one of the leaking, smoking, misfiring and rusted apart Harleys sitting parked next to it costed roughly the same makes it more comforting.
You're paying for watch maker levels of design and machining. Not a goofy name on some assless chaps.

Goes to show you how clueless your are where bikes are concerned, Harleys are probably best paint quality bikes you can buy after MV's. I own MV,s a harley, and the worst bikes for paint quality are BMW,s and I own 2 of them. Just thought I would jump in when I hear someone talk total crap.

It is irrelevant if the motorcycle Michael reviews is of interest to one. You just watch mezmerized from start to finish and at the end feel more educated. GOAT.
Michael failed to tell you about the race kit, full contents , MV charge £2200 for, also includes a £600 race ECU tuned to the akro end can which give the bike a claimed 155bhp, and higher rev limit. I can assure you Michael is not a GOAT, he has not got 4 legs and a tail, and looks for someone washing line the eat the clothes off. He is however human and not perfect, and does not always have facts to hand. I still rate him as one of the best bike journos, grounded and totally honest,but not mesmerised by him or anyone else.
RR has two injectors per cylinder, which is how they get the extra power
It’s one of the best looking SS out there to me but as you mentioned, too expensive and too late to a class that barely exists nowadays.
I think it's the perfect time for this class ,MV and Ducati V2 have had it to themselves for past few years, 200bhp+ sports bikes are becoming pointless, you can't enjoy them anywhere, only on track, and then how many tracks can you enjoy 200bhp plus bikes, I think the writing is on the wall for them, Truimph see it coming, hence the speed thriple rr a sports bike for the road.

If the RR is too expensive then there's the Rosso model for you. Nothing missing on that bike, basically just different suspension components.

Yeah, I really miss the induction roar of my F3 RC, since I installed a Zero race exhaust. Its definitely not road legal and drowns out everything, defens me, and pisses off the townsfolk. On the positive side it looks identical to the stock exhaust!
Good review once more! That left hand "open" connector is really untidy! To be honest I like the previous gen's looks more.... And it is just too expensive! The 660 Aprilia will be a much better buy!! Then there still are the lingering memories of MV's reliability and real ownership costs.... Mmmm. Regards!!

Sorry, but you're talking about two absolutely completely different bikes! They are in totally different categories.
You are wrong, actually MV Agustas are far better value for money than Aprilia 660. And I love Aprilias.
The Aprilia 660s are super cheap category bikes spruced up a bit and with a really well done design, they've approached from the super cheap bike category slightly upwards. The MV Rosso models are super expensive category bikes made slightly cheaper. But they still have all the features you'd expect.
For some reason the price difference is much larger in the UK than elsewhere in Europe. At least new-old-stock MV Agustas are a great buy, or very slightly used. Elsewhere the Aprilia and MV are almost identical in price which means the MV is an absolute bargain compared to the far inferior Aprilia.
Go try an MV Agusta. It might take a very long time to get used to the amazing feel and absolute immediacy of its reactions and responses, but once you get used to it you'll never accept anything else.

You're spewing absolute nonsense based on nothing. Do you even know what the very few typical faults MV Agustas used to have were? Do you know what fixes were done since then? I bet you have no clue about any of it.
I have 2 F4s, one with 10k on the clock and one with 3k. Neither have ever let me down ever. I also have a classic Ducati, when it comes to servicing the MVs cost around 1/3 of the Ducati (if it needs a belt service) so not expensive at all.
When people ask me about the bikes the first thing they ask me as about reliability. Maybe there were some bad ones early on? Mine are as reliable as any bike I’ve ever owned
Great vid & very nice bike but too pricey for me. Why oh why don't Suzuki update the GSX-R750? Give it 150bhp, adjustable rearsets & clips-ons as well as a reasonable but not OTT electronics package & surely it'd sell well wouldn't it?
The MV's Rosso model is far cheaper.
The 750 has 150 bhp at the crank, 130 ish at the wheel. Which I believe is decent. I think few mods on the gsxr750 and you can easily push it to 150/160+.
For reference: R6 with larger pistons makes 135/140 at the wheel.
@@whitevador8875 Yes it is decent & plenty imo. I used to have a K6 with 133bhp at the rear wheel in standard trim & it was great. It was sedate or savage depending on what you wanted it to be & I always felt in total control. No need to go for too much power as the150 mark is just right. Enough to be very quick but still useable & not intimidating. Perfect.
Is MV more reliable than the Ducati and Aprilia?
This bike right here should be the sole engine supplier for the Moto2 class. A bike that would sound and perform much better than the Triumph 765.
Triumph should make a modern supersport from the STR 765 - bit more development than that Daytona 765 special. Not cheap but affordable. And they'd cater for a market nobody else really tries anymore, the Japanese have given up and this MV's way overpriced.
Agree, they should reintroduce the Daytona for the WSSP now that the Panigale V2 has been allowed, a Daytona 765 RS would be amazing
Why is it that he says this is the last supersport, when we have bikes like the S1000RR, R1, GSXR1000, ZX10, ZX14, H2/H2R, CBR1000RR/RR-R, Panigale V4, not to mention all the
Wind noise doesn't bother me all that much to be honest.
I wear ear plugs when riding and they take care of the bulk of the annoying high pitched whines.

IMO: handlebar and footpeg positions. Supersport = R6, R1, CBR, ZX6/10R, GSXR. Sport bike = R7, RS660, Ninja1000sx, CBR650, etc. Cheers Nige
In racing the supersport class has the 600cc inline 4 bikes (and the GSX-R750) and the superbike class has 1000cc inline 4s so I think those are the best definitions. These are all very powerful and fast (120-200 BHP) and run at very high RPMs (~14,000) and have aggressive (forward-leaning) riding positions.
"Sport bike" is an umbrella term which encompasses supersports, superbikes, nakeds, and other things that are not ADVs, cruisers, or off-road/dirtbikes. Basically bikes designed to be ridden on the road only and at reasonably high speeds. The Wikipedia page seems to corroborate.
However I am no expert so I may be wrong but this is my take.

Where is the lovely MV Augusta badge to be seen?? With that dark carbon, looking at it from the side, it could be any generic Japanese 600 sportsbike. With the original F4, there was no mistaking it was an MV, or even the standard Rosso F3 version of this, actually. That cheapo exposed socket would also not be seen on the F4, despite this being superior electrically, rider aid wise and fueling.
Which begs the question, why not review the standard Rosso, which most are going to buy, will be easier to get, and is arguably better looking??
I'm hoping to get a 2006 or 2007 F4, this summer. It's nowhere near as refined as this, uncomfortable after 45 minutes, but immeasurably more beautiful (still the original Tamburini design) and a far, far better investment.
1st gen bikes, especially the f4 750, were built as a money no object machine. They're more stringent with money now due to debts and bankruptcies.
