I have to give an honest reply to this video. Watching a lot of Jordan Petersson a few months back I actually thought this video was real and so it affected me, and not in a good way unfortunately. You should have made it much much more clear that it is a made up video. Especially since these types of videos are unbelievably easy to fake.
Interesting, thanks for your comment. I must confess that I find it a little funny that some viewers believe the video is real. Nevertheless, I will take your perspective onboard. How would you have made it clearer? It has an absurd title, the first sentence in the description says it's a parody, all the comments unveil that it's a joke and to top that all of they are called Peter Jordanson and Ham Sarris in the video twice. I also think my cutting was pretty weak so it's quite noticeable in places that the clips don't go together. So with all that said, what would you have done?

I had clicked on hundreds of Jordan videos and suddenly this popped up on the screen and I took it in. And the cutting with the "masturbation being wrong" was good cutting so it made sense and that's why I didn't question it, clicked on the next video and boomed I was tricked. The simplest thing you should had done, is put a big text in the middle of the screen when the video starts saying "This is a parady, what you see and hear is not real but edited for humerous purposes". and more important, fucking mention the word parody in the title of the video. Finally I should just add that it's not a funny video what's so ever. What kind of humour is it conveying? Proffessors talking about masturbation and that's funny? Anyways what's done is done. I can tell you to either delete or edit the video but you're probably gonna do neither any way.

I was genuine when I asked you what you would have done differently, not because I agreed with you but because I wanted to give you the opportunity to convince me otherwise. You are however undermining your points when you seem to have problem conducting yourself in a respectful manner. The fact that you did not find the video funny might in my opinion be the core issue here. What I would say to that is that humor is subjective not objective and reading the comments on this video you will find that the humor in the video is resonating with a lot of people whether you agree with it being funny or not. Trying to explain jokes usually kills them and therefor does not work, but ill give it a try. Jordan is a thoughtful and usually carefully balanced intellectual, the idea that he would tell thousands of people that they need to ask God for forgiveness because they masturbate is so absurd that it becomes funny. This is an old video and I won't be making any changes to it, no. But ill consider making the parody part more overt in potential future videos.

As for being in the gutter I'd relegate the entire video to having been conceived in the gutter. Opinions are cheap aren't they?
