    I used old man emu springs and just compressed coils to put them in! With extended travel shocks! Would recommend diff drop as well!

    Thanks for the video! I did the same thing onmy 98 and it turned out great other then im around 37" in the back and 34" in the front... Do you think I can crank on the torsion bars more to level it out? I went with old man emu springs and rancho 5000x shocks. Thanks for the tip!

    Highly reccomend removing the 2 bolts from the parking brake cables and the 4 bolts to the frame through the swaybar bushings instead of messing with the end links. much easier.

      Can always swap the good engine into a donor vehicle! Thats our plan. We have a yard full of Isuzus so we have a bunch more projects and videos we will be posting.

    Hey man I’m interested in a 1998 trooper 3.5L V6 AWD I test drove it and there was nothing wrong I saw no lights pop up brand new battery , tires were in good shape ,the interior was in good condition they outside was in good shape no rust,couple little scratches that aren’t noticeable, well because it has 138,000 on the odometer but it’s really clean man but the only problem I saw was the front window being taped around shut , is it easy to fix the window? And also how is the car on gas now that gas is 3 dollars now? The guy wants $3,000 bucks is this a good price? He also is a Vietnamese guy selling it for his mom and these cars were popular back in the day for them.

    Will this work for a 2002 Isuzu rodeo, I thought about doing just cool spring spacers but would springs be easier?

    Lifted my 1996 3wd Trooper using Daystar rubber rings. 1.5" in the back. Happy with it. The OEM rubber spring cushion, fit into the Daystar, Pull them out and fit them to the Daystar, then put on the original spring and put into place. Also I lifted both sides same time, Disconnect lower shock. Leave sway bar connected, and you can do both sides same time and tires can stay on. For front, I just turned driver side up 2 turns to even it out side to side, One thing about raising front, you are then running CV joints at a bigger angle.

    Awesome video. Trooper looks awesome and ready for some off roading! Those new shocks you use where they lifted shocks or factory size shocks?

    • @REVNREDMEDIA
      @REVNREDMEDIA  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! Yeah he's hoping to take it off road in the spring. Still have some upgrades to do before then.
      They were factory, kyb gas-a-just.

      @@REVNREDMEDIA Now that sounds like a great time! Oh ok thanks. I just replaced the shocks on my wife’s 96 Trooper, and was wondering if I had to upgrade them to lifted shocks. Would you happen to know the exact lift measurements. If I’m not mistaken I heard it was around, 2ish.

    • @REVNREDMEDIA
      @REVNREDMEDIA  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No need for upgraded shocks. The stock sway bar will keep you at the stock travel limit so the shocks won't be overextended. We don't have the exact measurements, but it was around 2 inches.

    Would you please make a video on how to remove and install a transmission from a trooper? I'm planning on buying a remanufactured transmission and would like some guidance on how to install it properly.

    • @REVNREDMEDIA
      @REVNREDMEDIA  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      we will definitely add it to the list.
      We are doing a manual swap of a rodeo here soon, which gives the general idea of removal/install but theres different connectors, cross-members, etc on the trooper vs the rodeo.

    A quick note, NEVER leave a High Lift Jack with the handle down like that and NEVER jack up a car by the wheel studs. In fact, High Lift Jacks are not that safe so using one in a workshop is a no no, use a trolley jack.

    • @christopher2206
      @christopher2206 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The studs are plenty strong to support the weight he was. It's only part of the weight of the rear end.

    will these fit the 2001 trooper and are they stiffer than the old man emu springs? How much lift?

    • @REVNREDMEDIA
      @REVNREDMEDIA  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For springs I would refer to this chart that the isuzu community has put together. They have tried alot of different options and recorded results and if mods were necessary for installation. Old man emu is a great product for both springs and shocks. Give this a read.

    I am looking for bump stops for my Isuzu Bighorn, can you assist?

    • @scottdowney4318
      @scottdowney4318 ปีที่แล้ว

      Check planet Isuzu forum. I modified chevy 1500 truck bump stops, they work good and have a thread on that. You have to shorten them. I reused the metal plate of the old stop, but you could fab a flat plate to bolt mew bumper on, and then bolt that to the frame, have to drill some holes.

    I found a local 94 trooper 4x4 5spd and the owner wanted $300 for it then called me a few weeks later saying you pay for the tow truck and its yours! it runs but they swapped out the clutch and i tried bleeding it but there's luck, I am also in search for a rear driveshaft if anyone has one.

    • @REVNREDMEDIA
      @REVNREDMEDIA  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hell yeah that was a sweet deal! Best place to look for a driveshaft are the junkyards for a 92 to 97 manual trooper.

      I just get the highlift jack up the back end on the towbar,wheels off,don't touch the swaybar,pull down the axle,I can get 50mm lift springs in with no compressor at all,pinchbar underneath spring,in it goes job done

      Im a manual guy myself, but on the rocks, unless you have really low gearing, an automatic transmission is a HUGE advantage.
