Wondering if this console would work or could be fabbed around for a 5 speed trans? I think it would look cool if it did. It would be in a 99 ford f150 single cab

I have a 2024 and plan to install the exact same guard. Being able to see where the slot needs to be in the tow hook cover really helps because I’m not leaving it off either. I believe I can get very close based on this video along with a couple measurements to tighten it up. Easier said than done I know but this video is super helpful!

i got this same console but only 3 screws holding it in its very squeaky and doesn't sit flush to the floor

Sure wish I would have watched this video first. I dropped the cross bar without any support on the transfer - nothing "fell out", but it sat overnight until I could get back up under it and put it on - then I realized why one side was going on and the other wasn't. Had to get a jack up under it and lift it until it was on. Also, I was totally ignorant that there was another "smaller pan" forward of the larger pan. I didn't drain it. No wonder I didn't get too much out when I drained it. I started filling the large pan and once I got about 3 qts in we started the trooper - kept filling. Once i hit about 5 quarts the fluid started gushing out. I hurried up and put the fill plug back in. Should I have let it drain just a little bit more? Will too much fluid in the tranny be bad? This is a work in progress - haven't taken it for a ride yet - not sure if too much fluid will screw anything up and I'm trying to find an answer.

im having the same problem on my 03 where it wont go into the bracket because of the sleeve so im gonna try what you did and hope it works.

How has your tint held up with the in-channel visors? I've been debating going with tape stick on version because im scared it may make the window "seal" too tight and mess with the tint

Am in the middle of doing this. My question is do you have to remove the flat black duct work under the carpet for the console to sit flush? The flat duct work I speak of I guess takes heat and comes out under the front seats blows towards the back of the cab. Thanks

Thinking on buying a 2000 trooper 3.5 v6 automatic (i assume it has this tranny)(?) Its a one owner 101200 miles. Should i buy it and ad a trans cooler? Will this avoid or prevent the common issue between troopers where the trans stops shifting!? Thank you for your video!

Thanks for the video! I did the same thing onmy 98 and it turned out great other then im around 37" in the back and 34" in the front... Do you think I can crank on the torsion bars more to level it out? I went with old man emu springs and rancho 5000x shocks. Thanks for the tip!

If you don't have a meter and the vehicle cranks you can disconnect the positive battery cable. Be careful not to drop the cable. If car cuts cuts off you have a bad alternator.

I love the idea of raptor lining the body to prevent rust but how much does it decrease your gas mileage by?

Had a transmission leak on my 2001 rodeo, so I did my main transmission pan gasket twice and my shift shaft seal 3 times and then saw where it was actually leaking. Between the 2 pans. Transmission has to come out and be taken apart to fix it. It would be nice to have a lift instead of doing all this on my back in the dirt. I recently bought a 2000 Honda Passport (same vehicle) and it started intermittently shifting funny. So I just did all this to it last weekend. Now it shifts great except for OD. it won't stay in 4th gear once it gets over 50mph. I'm going to try installing new shift solenoids this weekend. Fingers crossed! Spending a small fortune on Transmission fluid.

Instead of removing the 2 hoses the get the alternator out, I removed one screw that holds the power steering cooling loop--then pushed it aside to get it out. Much easier.

Lifted my 1996 3wd Trooper using Daystar rubber rings. 1.5" in the back. Happy with it. The OEM rubber spring cushion, fit into the Daystar, Pull them out and fit them to the Daystar, then put on the original spring and put into place. Also I lifted both sides same time, Disconnect lower shock. Leave sway bar connected, and you can do both sides same time and tires can stay on. For front, I just turned driver side up 2 turns to even it out side to side, One thing about raising front, you are then running CV joints at a bigger angle.

Their are definetly easier ways to do this.
