Went to see Josh Rouse in Bristol this weekend. Just great. And he covered Nick Lowe's Cruel To Be Kind, as well as Lay Lady Lay. Had a chat with him afterwards and he signed a copy of his excellent latest album Going Places. Tuneful and recommended Mazzy.

Great video - Troggs are loved here. Totally primitive garage band from Andover. From Home is class. Best of all, we used to go on school trips to Cheddar Gorge where the brilliant first album cover was shot. Great effort with all your videos - always enjoyable but I don’t comment as much as I should. Cheers for now, Steve.

Love the Doug Sahm records. Little Village.. I expected more from them considering the greatness of the lineup. I thought the record was disappointing. But saw them live and they were fantastic.

So pleased you give a shout-out to Josh Rouse. I'd say the artist he most resembles is Paul Simon. His later albums are worth checking out, especially for those with a Spanish in influence. Keep up the good work !!

Great stuff as usual. I don’t know if you watched my last video, but I showed that John Hartford LP. I recently bought a collection and found 3 Gil-Scott Heron albums, all really great. When I started college (1967), Jonathan Edward’s was the lead singer of the best band on campus, The Headstone Circus. This was at Ohio University, Athens, Ohio. The band then went to Boston, and put out one record under a new name Sugar Creek. They broke up and then he put out the album you showed. Coincidentally he recently moved to Portland, Maine, where a I live. Bumped into him and had some conversations about mutual friends and the old days. He’s still touring and playing clubs. I always wanted that Little Village album to be better than it is. It should have been AMAZING, but not so much. Thanks for posting

In answer to who is Joe Henry, he has released at least 15 albums since 1989, many of which would qualify as "sleepers." I like his collaborations with the Jayhawks on "Short Man's Room" and "Kindness of the World." He has also co-written songs with Madonna, who happens to be his sister-in-law. His stuff is worth checking out.

Favorite Leonard song is Chelsea hotel about Janis Joplin...she's about a mover was covered by Steve Earle also..And I love John Hiatt too! Lincoln town. Yeah! Crossing muddy waters is fantastic.. A few of my sleeper album choices
The Wallflowers-The Wallflowers. Their forgotten debut album. The songs tend to be a bit long, Jakob Dylan is not a polished singer but I love how everything sounds on it.
All Shook Down- The Replacements. Gets a lot of hate because it was a Paul Westerberg solo album that got turned into the last Replacements album. Filled with some great songs.
Echo-Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. The album after Wildflowers has never gotten the respect it deserves, even from Tom Petty but to me Echo it is closer in quality to Wildflowers than it gets credit for.
Down the Road Wherever-Mark Knopfler-a great sounding recent(2018) release with much to offer his fans.

This was a pleasant surprise Another duet with your friend Amanda Great stuff! And some killer vinyl I need to get some Gil Scott Heron but I was really drawn to that Joe Strummer Street Core The other record I was interested in checking out was the one you talked about that the guy was in Quicksilver You showed 2 copies The guy had a great head of dark hair but anyway I didn’t catch his name or the name of the record Could you just hook me up with that dude bro por favor? You showed it right after you referred to people who smoke grass as “doper” Amanda really got a kick out of that comment Watch the playback It’s classic! ☮️ Peace Cosmic Brian

Archivivalist looks like an alien, or imagined one, aided by the dissonant arm ink. Woody- Zelig, genius. ! That Gil Scott was tolerable, almost a return to 'form' after his losing the plot post 1974. One after that was a shambles ''we're new here''. Cohen so witty, loved his backing singers. He got good by the late 70's,. His early Lps are such over rated vinyls-avoid.
