She sounds so biased against the S9, I'll bet she's an iphone fan girl. You need to get a real S9 user to review the S9 and an iphone user to review the iphone.
lean dsz it doesn't have to do anything just compare the sensitivity of light against the iphone X which clearly the huawei p20 pro wins also the huawei p20 pro takes 68 Megapixel pictures against your 12 Mexapixels pictures in the iPhone x Oh yeah also it can take long exposure pictures in 5 sec without a tripod the first phone OR camera able to do this and my final argument is why dont you check the huawei p20 pro camera score against the iPhone X you will be surprised finding out the huawei p20 pro got 109 points and the iphone got 98 Soo yeah the huawei wins with evidence, scores, and software
lean dsz ohh and yes it does something with a triple lens system 20Megapixels in B&W 40 megapixels in RGB And 8 megapixels in telephoto lens Think about this our telephoto lens has more quality than your selfie camera on the iPhone oh and BTW the huawei p20 pro selfie camera is 24 megapixels even our selfie camera beats the quality of both your lenses in the iPhone X
They both take good pictures. But one cost $160 more with no headphone jack, has a smaller screen, no expandable storage and it's not fast charging out of the box. To add, IOS is basically a copy of Android in 2 to 3 years from now in features.
"the S9 also has this option but it's buried in the setting" That's when I turned off this video, So the S9 has both video options for recording slo motion and the iPhone X only has one but you choose to create a negative narrative surronding the S9 . By the way why didn't you just move your phone to get your dog in the shot. It's like you purposely sabotaged it.
Bill Dineen Why is it buried in the settings? Why can’t it be easier to find? You have kept on watching before reaching an unreasonable judgement like that.
because it isn't buried as she likes to put, like you need and engineering degree to find it. It's right there in the settings, no different than the iPhone's slo mo. It's there in the settings. It's just subtle ways to create a negative narrative. Again it's not buried it's just there in the settings looking at you called slo mo nothing difficult at all.
I really couldnt believe people still says, oh i prefer iphones shots because its more true to life. Come on guys, iphone x and iphone 8 shots are the most vibrant and not true to life . Apple only got the skin tone right and that is all.
cubbz5 i never say that samsung does. Apple doesnt as well. It used to have , but since iphone 7 or something they drastically changed their approach and now it really look just vibrant , and definiktely not true to life
S9 is better and low light is just something not worth comparing, amazing what S9 does, better then my Sony RX100. Phones have come a long way I would love to see how Huawei P20 will do with 3 cameras.
low light not worth comparing???? you like the night life do you? African Americans may also beg to differ about the importancre of a low light comparison
Sergio Cabada because it wouldn’t be true? It only wins in very low light still shots.. in literally every other scenario the iPhone did considerably better
Why is it that the audio of the phones isn't an issue? To me after recording my first 4K video with an iPhone I learned the hard way iPhones only record monophonic audio and that 4K video sucked because of that.
Both of the iPhone X’s iSight cameras are optically stabilized. And the S9 and S9 Plus are limited in video length when recording 4K. I think it’s 10 minutes in 4K 30 FPS, and 5 minutes in 4K 60FPS. The iPhones have no recording limit.
The s9 actually took a huge step back on video. When walking or ruining or panning quickly or capturing a moving object there is a flickering/stuttering that happens. Not sure why it wasn’t mentioned here. It’s glaring. It’s actually something that was not on the S8.
ツOhSlothz wrong, I got an update quite a while back and it fixed that issue! Samsung might be slow at updating their Android version but they do their own updates quite often.
were the videos edited on an Imac? If so, the imacs are oversaturating the S9s colors. this bug was discovered by another youtuber. for example, the reason the S9 looks horrible with video on the video by Everything Apple Pro is because of his Imac, not the phone itself.
If you want to share your photos and videos on Instagram or WhatsApp, I can tell you Galaxy S9 is not worth it. These Apps will highly reduce the quality image (when you upload it) taking into account their algorythms are formated for iOS... I only found out about this after purchasing my Galaxy... I wish someome had told me about this before. Sad...
Ok about time I said this CNET is not a good place to look at phone reviews take someone els like everythingapple pro or jonothannmorrison -everythingapplepro is not biased because he has Apple in his name he reviews all kinds of phones
I tested to iPhone Xs and I just wasn't happy with the photos. In optimal light, yes it looks great, but in low light I thought it was horrible and the front facing portrait mode I just couldn't make work. It always blurred my hair. For that price it was definitely not worth it.
Why compare superslow motion on s9 with slow motion 240fps on iPhone, why not use the slow motion 240fps full hd mode on both. Using superslow at 960fps is only meant for well lit scenes, the shutter has to open and close 960 times so very little light hits the sensor, it's not a limitation of the phone, that's how very high speed video works
for me, i think that colour and good portraiture is more important than versatility because when youre showing somone a photograph you captured, do you tell them what lens or setting you used for the picture? so the iPhone X is a clear winner for me.
Ppl say pictures from the iPhone is more natural. The truth is 99.99% pple who use iPhone use third party apps to adjust the pictures to make them more vibrant.
TakWAI the good thing with iOS is there are many camera apps that allow you to adjust most things pre and post photo. So really that is irrelevant, and in any case most of us just take a photo and don’t mess around with settings, the Pixel 2 camera is the best and that has no Pro mode. Less clutter and bloat is my choice, if I need Pro mode I buy an app but as I never I]use it the s9 Pro mode would be just a waste of resources.
Thankyou so much mam for uploading this video...this video helped me a lot to take my final decision about which phone should i purchase...thankyou soooo much mam..GOD bless you and your family with a very happy life...
Not sure what what phone to get I, bought both the iPhone X and Galaxy S9. The camera in the Samsung is significantly better in everyday use. I have far better pictures with it then my iPhone.
I don’t like this comparison for that fact that they use the s9 plus. The plus models are always too big and wide for my taste. I can get dual lens on the smaller iPhone X but will only get single lens on my preferred size galaxy s9. Yes it’s a camera comparison, but I’ll never actually get to use the s9 plus’s dual lens.
Iphone X photos are actually more vibrant than S9 photos... depends on what you take a picture of. People hated the vibrant colours when Samsung did it but now that Apple does it, people love them....
Thank you for your replies but you all missed my point. Huawie is a tech company that is planning to expand in the US markets much like HTC, OnePlus etc etc way back in the early days. Now these companies is cathching up in the US markets. Compared to Samsung which has vast products as they were ahead in the tech do not worry too much as they are already established. Much like Huawie, Oppo and Vivo, they wanted to share their awesome products to the consumers. That is why every youtube tech channel must be updated on this as this is a way to promote and share the news. Let's face it, iPhones and Samsung phones are dominating in the US markets. Would it too bland if these two is the only player? I mean who would have thought of a 40MP camera. That was like Nokia 1020 PureView (minus the Oreo-sized) camera bump! ...and oh! Did I mention that it has a 3-camera system?
Oh so you are just an amateur that thinks that the pixels on a camera actually matter for quality?? Hmm yeah you know nothing about cameras and photography.
They all have nice cameras iPhone X, iPhone 8plus, S8, s9, note8, pixel 2, none of y’all are making movies, you get good pictures and video from all, and they all have they’re weaknesses and strengths, you’re taking photos of your families and vacations and you can’t go wrong with any of them, they all get better every year so stop it with who’s better cause soon as the one you like better is out then comes another one, just be happy we’re able to have these cameras in our pockets.....I have the iPhone X and I love it but I also love things about all the others, I’m happy that it just gonna get better!
Why don't you record in 18:9 ratio since all smartphones switching their screen in same ration. Please do not be the old. I like your content but at the same time I am losing some content on my screen.
The galaxy s9’s slow mo feature is cool but it only can record for .2 seconds on slo mo at 900fps and in video for the s9 it can only record 4K 30 for 10 minutes and 4K 60 for 5 minutes... samsung says it will overheat but it can still record after you stop recording the previous video... that makes no sense, seriously samsung

Galaxy s9 needs more detail when it comes on exposure because it blowns out the details when there is light. And for the skin tone it becomes yellowish when you shoot on the camera of s9 but in low light s9 is unmatch but when it comes in details in low light the huawei p20 pro is the best camera in 2018.
i love the iphone x, it captures natural and i love samsung for their low light features so i love them both they actually innovating the future of smartphone camera
I noticed on the snow shots that the S9 continues to add too much contrast causing the snow to lose detail, while the iPhone is more true to life. The iPhone showed all the crevices and shadows in that particular shot. The shot I'm referencing is at the 2:14 mark of the video, there are other similar instances throughout this video.
I had to stop after the first 30 secs of the video to write down the comment, iPhone was never the camera king, Pixel 2 XL destroys it in comparison. Get your facts straight.

The S9 low light quality makes me excited for the future of smartphone camera quality.

it is actually fairly small even tho in inches it sounds large but irl it isnt.
walter G, I had an iPhone since 2G. IMO, Android is the better OS.
iOS is not better OS it is just different.
"the S9 also has this option but it's buried in the setting" That's when I turned off this video, So the S9 has both video options for recording slo motion and the iPhone X only has one but you choose to create a negative narrative surronding the S9 . Bill Dineen ik
I change it
Regularly
Agree with you bro, I think they live in the iOS ecosystem
I really couldnt believe people still says, oh i prefer iphones shots because its more true to life. Come on guys, iphone x and iphone 8 shots are the most vibrant and not true to life . Apple only got the skin tone right and that is all.
Leonal88 Samsung cameras definitely aren’t true to life but I like what there doing I’m getting the s9 anyway
cubbz5 i never say that samsung does. Apple doesnt as well. It used to have , but since iphone 7 or something they drastically changed their approach and now it really look just vibrant , and definiktely not true to life
Leonal88 they changed with the iPhone 8! The 7 look fantastic even now! The colours are ❣️
As long as I can take a nice photo I am happy lol
isaac merriman same. Ahahah
isaac merriman yes😂
S9 is better and low light is just something not worth comparing, amazing what S9 does, better then my Sony RX100. Phones have come a long way I would love to see how Huawei P20 will do with 3 cameras.
low light not worth comparing???? you like the night life do you? African Americans may also beg to differ about the importancre of a low light comparison
@@walexia wtf?
Why not have the balls to declare the s9 the winner?
Sergio Cabada because it wouldn’t be true? It only wins in very low light still shots.. in literally every other scenario the iPhone did considerably better
Then apple sheeps will start hating them lol
She's a woman .. zzz. She just can't.
dan428 in slow mo s9 better and in low light
Maybe x in colors a little better
+A Boy Has No Name it won
maybe the colors are a little bit better on x but at least s9 has ois at 4k 30 960 fps slo mo and more
You can adjust the slow motion after taking the video form settings
Why is it that the audio of the phones isn't an issue?

One of the best comparison video on whole TH-cam . You guys just earned a sub:)
The s9 actually took a huge step back on video. When walking or ruining or panning quickly or capturing a moving object there is a flickering/stuttering that happens. Not sure why it wasn’t mentioned here. It’s glaring. It’s actually something that was not on the S8.
Keith Reynolds i din experience anything like that
lean dsz yeah watch some camera reviews. A lot of them mention it
Keith Reynolds ik it did happen at first
But a camera update came
N its fixed
Even a TH-camr told abt the update
EritreanMusiq uh.. camera update doesnt happen anymore bro.
ツOhSlothz wrong, I got an update quite a while back and it fixed that issue! Samsung might be slow at updating their Android version but they do their own updates quite often.
What s9 plus did you use ? Exynos or snapdragon?
Thanks for the video. I admire the effort you put in 👍🏾
were the videos edited on an Imac? If so, the imacs are oversaturating the S9s colors. this bug was discovered by another youtuber. for example, the reason the S9 looks horrible with video on the video by Everything Apple Pro is because of his Imac, not the phone itself.
Really excellent comparison, testing a really wide range of situations. I prefer the iPhone’s more natural colours. Thank you CNET!
If you want to share your photos and videos on Instagram or WhatsApp, I can tell you Galaxy S9 is not worth it. S9 plus is better
Scooter The Champ yes
Why does every time in low light Samsung s8 has yellow colour in photo
HUAWEI P20 PRO review and
Camera comparisons
Come on cnet
Manual/pro mode is a huge advantage specially shooting RAW for more rooms in editing...
question with the samsung, can you send those slowmo shots over text?? can you share it on anything??
Jeff Kelly they let you share videos files up to 2gigs but through a link so the person you send it to can play it or download it.
Why can’t you include a pixel 2 in this list??
Galaxy Already got 99 points in DXO mark
I tested to iPhone Xs and I just wasn't happy with the photos. In optimal light, yes it looks great, but in low light I thought it was horrible and the front facing portrait mode I just couldn't make work. It always blurred my hair. For that price it was definitely not worth it.
I like these comparisons but how many real people are switching between iPhone and Android yearly or every other year?
OMFG the crazy exposure stuff going on on Iphone at 1:02
Is huawei p20 better?
can't choose which scene to put the 720 slow mo? that sound outrageous and makes the marketing incredibly useless.
So again, it looks to me that overall, Samsung wins.
Andrew Clement yes
Just picked up 2 GS9's yesterday, upgrades from a G6 and Stylo 2 for my wife and I.
The X just didn't cut it for us.
I'd love to see this years latest Galaxy S9 vs Huawei P20 Pro. 💯
I dont get it why is the fact that sony’s yesteryear phones had super slow motion is never mentioned.
for me, i think that colour and good portraiture is more important than versatility because when youre showing somone a photograph you captured, do you tell them what lens or setting you used for the picture? so the iPhone X is a clear winner for me.
Ppl say pictures from the iPhone is more natural. The truth is 99.99% pple who use iPhone use third party apps to adjust the pictures to make them more vibrant.
S9 manual mode where user can control setting wins over iPhone with just auto mode.

If you want point and shoot in s9 plus you ca use manual super slow motion
Not sure what what phone to get I, bought both the iPhone X and Galaxy S9. The camera in the Samsung is significantly better in everyday use. I have far better pictures with it then my iPhone.
Lol, iphone still have the weird brightness bug during recording
TAB. TK Lol samsung still has saturated color and soft front camera
MT 18 atleast it's dependent on someone 'preference' rather than being bug that have bad transition from dark to bright condition for... 1000$? 😂😂🤣

Great video I prefer iPhone X but I’m so glad there’s a non bias video about the two on TH-cam they always favour iPhone and you didn’t thanks!

Angelica its the other way around in reality
Iphone X photos are actually more vibrant than S9 photos... depends on what you take a picture of. People hated the vibrant colours when Samsung did it but now that Apple does it, people love them....
THAVANI did you see the snow on the s9? It was blue. That’s way off especially when you look at the time of day of the shot
I prefer iPhone photos. My friend has a Samsung phone and the photos from his look so fake. I don’t like that.
nothumanlol think first if your friend has older versions of Samsung phones the camera may look bad
Where is your Huawie P20 PRO coverage??? THIS CAMERA COMPARISON IS A DECADE AGO!
A&D well, you can’t find a carrier with Huawei, and you probably can’t buy it in US
A&D they are banned in the US.

Even if the Huawei phones have beyond DSLR camera quality nobody would still care about them
People be saying "oh i prefer the natural colors of the iphone blah blah" u better not put a filter on ur shit! 😂
S9+ wins
S9 and X vs Huawei P20 Pro?
Subscriber from philippines!😍
I never knew the iPhone was King lol smh.. I have iPone X and Note 8 and trust me Note 8 is better
UsTinKofFear3Lk WeDaBest I have a Note 8 and iPhone X. Trust me, iphone is better.
yes note8 is best then the google pixel2. In this video they make it seem as these 2 phones are best
Pixel 2 > IPhone X > Note 8
UsTinKofFear3Lk WeDaBest lol maybe because its iPone not the iPhone 😂
UsTinKofFear3Lk WeDaBest you don’t have both, because I have both and iPhone X is noticeably better in everything than the Note 8
Good job for both brands,
Keep improving and innovating
Both are good
5:01 A piece of the guy's head looks very weird in this photo lol
After using the Google pixel XL all other Android phones are so so, the Iphone details are better to me though...
Why don't you mention that 4K 60 can only record 5 minutes. Which is very stupid.
Nobody would believe these phones 70 years ago
The galaxy s9’s slow mo feature is cool but it only can record for .2 seconds on slo mo at 900fps and in video for the s9 it can only record 4K 30 for 10 minutes and 4K 60 for 5 minutes... samsung says it will overheat but it can still record after you stop recording the previous video... that makes no sense, seriously samsung
I wonder how much apple is paying CNET, because it makes sure to definitely sabotage the s9+ camera in this video.
In slowmo mode has a manual option tho
Iphone video suxxs, It has sucked since Iphone 6. Video is choppy when panning and the exposure jumps in steps and the image gets blotchy. Take a look at 00:52 ,1:04 , 1:55 .
Then you have low light performance which the Samsung is much better at 1:48 , 6:34 .
Now you have P20 Pro and you are talking about last age things
I like how people are comparing Samsung S9 and Iphone X while I'm here comparing my front and rear camera! 😂😂😂
I could do without the family photo shoot style of video. This isn't Facebook, after all.
The quality video is up the top!!
Of Course you have to compare the S9 with the new huawei P20 .. great review btw
Great review.
Regular camera: s9 maybe be a little more techy and so better. But if you use it through Snapchat or Instagram it's really really bad. I rather us iPhone because of that.
Good job on shooting the videos in 24p so they look like shit when your moving around. Like why? Both do 4k60p!
Watching this on my Sony Walkman
Did you talk about the 5 min 4k limit on the S9???
TheCrack there's limit you dumbass. I bet you don't own one
But do they beat the Huawei P20 Pro?
Compare S9 plus with Pixel 2 XL
There's manual option fr slow mo in S9... Huh!
Great comparison
good comparison.
waiting for the Huawei p20 pro vs iPhone and s9+ comparison
Samsung made it S9 rather than S10 or idk because it would make them more “powerful” looking though it seems they are behind in the names .
I noticed on the snow shots that the S9 continues to add too much contrast causing the snow to lose detail, while the iPhone is more true to life. The iPhone showed all the crevices and shadows in that particular shot. The shot I'm referencing is at the 2:14 mark of the video, there are other similar instances throughout this video.
iPhone is the winner! The skin tones are much more realistic! That’s one of the most important things in photography!
No entiendo?
Both phones are really close iPhone X wins, colours are better and more reliable to get a good photo. S9 better for night shots though.
Nice video! Day time agree both camera good, night shots Samsung takes the win.
Good comparison video
*THUMBS DOWN* She is so biased against the S9, pointeless comparison made by an Apple fan girl. Get someone else to do these please!
1:45, It Should Be f/2.4
Got both phones s9 wins
Better screen
Better camera
Has a headphone jack
Expandable storage
Awesome phone
I had to stop after the first 30 secs of the video to write down the comment, iPhone was never the camera king, Pixel 2 XL destroys it in comparison. Get your facts straight.
The wife loves her S9, I'm sticking to my Note 8 until the Note 9 comes out
both type of camera mix
The child outshines both the phones 😍😍
Very bad review
Pixel 2?
Evan Roden isn't the pixel that one shity phone with a plastic back & a shity display with a blue tint shift tint & a shity plastic camera lmaooo
