@iAmConfusion I guess you haven't seen the Justice League episode which Terry actually meets with a much older Amanda Waller, she then reveals that even though his father did die, his DNA was rewritten with Bruce's and they planned for him to get killed in a similar fashion like with Bruce's parents. But funny enough, they did write Damien into the Batman Beyond universe.

A fairly underrated part of "Batman Beyond" is the dynamic that Terry and Bruce shared during missions, with the new hero doing the brute work and the retired and disabled one guiding him from the base with his detective skills. It was basically the same professional relationship that Oracle and Black Canary have...but without the s*xual tension 😉

Love Damien's outfit in this. You're dad is Batman but you dress like the Green Power Ranger on vacation because your grandpa liked green and gold and you decided the only way to earn the assassin's respect was dress like the old boss.

Its just that Damian in this comic is actually achieving his potential(unlike Injustice Damian who was left imprisoned),Bruce himself in this comic said that Damian had surpassed him at his PEAK to the point it SCARED him,and the whole comic basically says Damian is a fighter beyond anything seen before and as never making a single mistake in combat(which Bruce said was very unlikely for Damian to do).
This is due to his parents and grandfather being extremely capable and being further perfected in an artifical womb.
For a small CHILD,he truly was the best,but he couldnt physically content with people more skilled and far stronger,but this is Damian when he is atleast like 23-24 years old and trains constantly

Bruce honed his body, but Damian was blessed with Batman for a father, the Demon for a grandfather (Ras), and Thalia Ras’s daughter.

Those red lines are exposed power transferring units, this suit uses small mechanical pistons in the joints to give the user super strength acting like an exo skeleton, same as iron mans suit but worse

If I remember right, the picture you show for him losing to Tim Drake. that's not Tim holding Terry up, that's Terry holding Tim up.
I think Terry was kidnapped/brainwashed by the one hypnosis dude in the show. Everyone thought he was dead for like a month, when really he out being a villain. So Tim gets thrown through time somehow in a different comic and takes this mantle of batman, but then finds out Terry is still alive so Tim has to break the hypnosis.where I think this panel comes from he knocks off his helmet but Terry still pulls through since Tim knows next to nothing on the full capabilities of this new suit, so Terry just kicks his butt the first few times, then Tim's undoes the mind control and bam Terry is batman again and Tim has to find some way to leave the future.

You know if The Batman was never made I can see Robert Pattinson being a awesome Terry McGinnis. Having Micheal Keaton return to play Bruce Wayne would’ve made it peak fiction.
Terry needs to start that Batman training he can't rely on only his suit to fight crime it will fail one day and he'll be left unarmed in a situation that needs his to be armed with his fists.

Actually, Terry is Bruce Wayne's clone. He was cloned by C.A.D.M.U.S.
Terry was VERY UPSET with Bruce because he thought it was Bruce's idea.
Nah he's not a clone. Bruce's cells basically hijacked Terry's father's cells so Bruce's DNA was essentially encoded into Terry's dad's sperm. So Terry ends up being a child that's half Bruce and half Terry's mother. He is Bruce's son. There's no difference on a genetic level between this method and Bruce having impregnated Terry's mom naturally.

@@nauticalzebra4536 Batman no kill rule is one of his only characters flaws keeping him from being a borderline Gary Stu. The best Batman stories ever put emphasis on the rule (knightfalls last act and Under the red hood) and he becomes a less interesting character once you take it away. He’d just kill off his rogues over night and then Batman stories would just fundamentally stop working outside of one offs lol.
Damien inherited Bruce’s fighting capabilities but that’s it, he never understood what being Batman meant…. And Contrary to what the Arkham games have taught people Batman is more then just a guy who punches people so the way I see it Terry inherited the parts of Bruce that actually matter. Damien represents the surface level idea of Batman while Terry represents the core aspects of him which is why their clash works so well, it also represents modern Batman fans idea of a more hardcore Batman clashing against older fans of Batman the animated series
Hold on Terry was skilled in martial arts even before meeting Bruce. He beat up several members of the Joker gang in the first episode of the series. Sure he wasn't a Batman level martial artist, but he did have training.
No, Terry was skilled in street fighting. He was a brawler. Like Jason, but Jason started training at a young enough age to polish his abilities more. And Bruce was too old to actively train him. There was a whole episode where Bruce sent him to train with his old Bushido classmate Kairi after Terry got his ass kicked.
Damian had 10 times as much martial arts skill by the time he was 10. He's been trained from the time he could walk. The only advantage his brothers have over him is age and experience. Now Damian is the one with age and Experience. I doubt even Dick or Jason could beat him at that point

Terry has always been the Batman after Bruce retires in my eyes. The other robins were raised to become their own heroes, raised to leave the nest. Terry was made to protect the damn nest.

It should be stated that at this point Terry is a ridiculously skilled combatant and strategist, its just...damian wayne was generically modified and raised as an expert asaasin since birth, then spent a decade training under Bruce. Hes got an enhanced body and about 40 years of extemely advanced combat experience over Terry.

As much as I love Batman beyond, it always bothered me how Bruce never really taught him how to fight like Batman should. Terry's skills were good against common criminals, but against other skilled fighters, he tended to lose. breaks my heart.
Bruce was too old to actively train him, Barbara was against the whole thing and none of his sons were talking to him. He did send him to train with Kairi, the daughter of his old Sensei, but she died shortly after.

I mean, Terry didn’t meet Bruce until he was in High School, he had zero professional training, zero gymnastic training, he’s just a kid who grew up in a worse Gotham. All the other Robins were trained to become child solider for Batman as his Robin.

Post New 52 the writers developed Damians skills a LOT.
His future versions are portrayed as superior to Bruce Wayne in multiple stories and he has already gotten a major buff lately along with being aged up and getting the black robin suit.
Thats how he was always supposed to be but because he was very unpopular in Post Crisis they used him as a punching back.
Terry hasnt even been trained in a martial art, he just stole a suit from bats one day and kinda just became the next Batman overnight

Bruce trained multiple years to be Batman, terry was just a street rat punk that stole the bat suit then became Batman
Not exactly true because Terry managed to defeat the Jokers and many more gangs like the royal flush gang and even people who held a small girl who had telepathic abilities. Also, he managed to defeat Talia Al ghul who at the time gave her soul to Ra's Al ghul.
Basically this kind of thing happens when writers hate a character. They'll ignore canon, ignore everything, to make sure the character fails. Terry did an amazing job as Batman before Damien was even thought of in the comics. Now everyone is on the hype train for Damien.
Terry is a great Batman. Actually watch the series and Return of the Joker.

If I had to choose who I like more between Terry and Damian, I'll choose Terry. I slightly despise him for taking over the mantle of Batman, but I would sooner see that than Damian taking it up.
