Didn't watch the show, but this intro just has a cool factor to it that can't be beat

I remember when I was a kid they'd always have commercial spots for Melrose Place whenever I'd watch The Simpsons or other various Fox shows during the 90's and they'd always play the theme over them. So even though I've never watched the show, I'm hit with major nostalgia whenever I hear this theme song.

Can I just say, as a viewer from this decade, who was 4 when this season aired, that this show is fucking insane and had one of the weirdest tonal shifts ever. It was like an after school special in season 1 and then everything and everyone went crazy starting from season 2. I was like... wtf happened?!
They hired Heather Locklear and that changed the tune of the show.

Agreed exactly. I remember the first season the girls abortion was the subject of like a whole episode then once Heather Locklear came onto the scene in season 2 everyone started sleeping with everyone, everyone fought everyone, everyone was deceiving and plotting behind eachothers back. It became much more soap oprea and faster paced (90s Dynasty without the glam and money) than the adult 90210 moral premise the show had started put with when it originally aired.

I'm crying. I was a kid and didn't even understand what's going on the screen (did I forget to mark that there were just huge TV-sets as parcel-boxes, not the flat LCD-LED screen? If smth, I'm talking about Russia and Ukraine, I don't know how was with TV-sets in US or Europe), but I remember an episode when a personage by Daphnie Zuniga lost her love (I don't remember, it seems to me it was a funeral scene at the end of series). It seems to me that she was shown as negative role, but I was sad about her when she was crying. I didn't remember, maybe I'm mistaking about a personage, but Daphnie looks like very similar to whom I talk about.
It was my sister's favourite show, as Beverly Hills was too. It was about America we'd been falling in love. It was about America without sgw-agenda from the everything. It is really an old school project! Nevertheless it is the real one of the coolest show!

I was in 6th grade when I watching this show, and it was the craziest show I've ever seen. I can't count how many times people died in that pool or who slept with slept. Amanda and Kimberly came to town and that was it. Let the shit show begin.
Amanda was introduced into the show. Then Heather Locklear was listed as a ‘special guest star’ right until the last episode. Was this intended to be a joke?
This far out weighs ANY attempts of the "new" Melrose Place!

yes, they put her in the show, at the last part of season 1, because otherwise the show was cancelled after 1 season because of the bad ratings...
I wonder if Andrew Shue is thinking about dating one of his former Melrose Place female co-stars now that his wife Amy Robach has just file a divorce from him? Kristin Davis (Brooke Armstrong) and Heather Locklear (Amanda Woodward) are single and available.

@fullhouse2x07 so that Heather Locklear would be listed last. They ran the cast list in alphabetical order and didn't want her in the middle. She was *star* afterall.
