I honestly feel like Melrose Place really didn't start to become its own show until season 2 because the first season was too much like Beverly Hills 91210 mainly because of its connections with that show broad when season 2 came around the show really started to pick up a star to steer away from the 91210 style that the show had in its first season

This is fake. Marcia Cross didn't appear in any opening until season 4 and Courtney Thorne-Smith's clips in season 4's opening aren't these ones. I guess the one who made this video wanted to put all of the characters that appeared in season 2, including Kimberly and Sydney.

They ran out of storylines for her & you didn't have to ask the question that way.
That was and is the usual for these shows, one black character who is magically in a white world with no one to identify with so they fade off
