MacBook Air - 2012 vs 2013

Apple's new MacBook Air is faster, has new features, is more power efficient, and has better value. But how different are the speeds anyway? We conducted several tests, and this video shows our results!

CPU 8.3% SLOWER? That is strange. Guess battery life is better for most people, but for me I don't really care about battery, so I will snag a deal on an Apple Certified Refurbished 2012 MacBook Air.

Not worth the upgrade. 2012 is good enough. U dun have to chabge ur macbook every fking year cause a lot of better hardware will be developed anyway

That's not really a fair comparison. I bet you a million bucks that if you run a BlackMagic SSD test, your Mac will not meet the speed of this one.

I'll tell you one difference I noticed between them. The 2013 seems slightly lighter and the cover is looser for sure. The battery life is what did it for me. In every other way I liked the 2012 better. It felt slightly sturdier somehow..Do they weight the same? I dont know why I have the sense that the 2013 is slightly lighter. Maybe Im wrong on that.

That makes sense, think about it.
Even though the G4 is only 100 MHz slower, it does only have one core, as you have mentioned. But it also can't perform anything like a Turbo Boost or Hyper Threading.

Got a 2012 macbook air w/ 8GB RAM for £599 and the 2013 macbook air was the same price with 4GB RAM. Screw 2013 xD
