I have the pentagon which they discontinued and I just ordered the hexagon. There absolutely should be a screw in handle for the roof that is not the support pole. Also on the interior corners of the porch wall there are two more rubber sleeves to put the other two poles. We love our tent and I was smiling to see your excitement for it because I felt the same way when I first set mine up. Wait until you get some cots and a stove burning at night in the winter, it's magical.
@RTSoutdoor Sure, happy to. Both ICE FISHING tent design types (hub type and flip over type) typically have a thermal layer of some description on the inside. The interior layer might be dark or light in colour. Though intended for fishing 🎣 on ice surfaces, ice tents are some times used for hot tent ⛺ winter camping (even using a small wood 🪵 burning stove). Whilst the Russian RBM tent is great design, it can be a bit pricey particularly given the walls and roof areas don't have an interior "THERMAL" LAYER. Though the ground sheet they sell does. th-cam.com/video/k8632CITjiI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=g4M8O7UpYxnRQnIs Hope this helps👍🏻.
yeah it's a little scary at first lol, fire IN a tent lol, but it's safe as long as you don't overload the stove and you keep it within the parameters, like 19" from the walls. We're going to look into something like a diesel heater for overnight I think just so we're not relying on the stove, but I love watching the fire and having the natural heat while we're relaxing
That piece your talking about screws in that threaded part and stops the top from collapsing, kind of locks it in. Once that piece is screwed in, you can't push it down.
Where can I see a picture of this piece? I cannot find any photo evidence of this piece anywhere, even in other videos, photos, or even the rbm website. I'm gonna start calling it the Bigfoot article lol
For the Smallest one UP2 MINI it's $999 - the UP2 is $1,549.00 and the UP5 is $1,899.00 these prices are before tax. IMO These are not worth the prices as I bought a quick up tent that sleeps 4 for around $150 and it's about the same size as the UP2 then bought a good ground tarp for under $100 and can use it all year round without the high price.
By all means, if you're happy with that, more power to you, but truthfully there's no comparison, you're talking about two completely different types of tents, material and all.
There are 10 to 15% off during holidays...I bought one from their site earlier and there was NO tax. I just don't believe you can find any good quality tent for 4 at $150. These Russian bear tents are the best double wall tents you can find at the price point when you compare to other high end brands which can easily going up $5000 to $6000 like Northface, just look it up yourself.
Hey Nate. Loving all these outdoor/camping review videos. I hope all is well with you and your family. I had a quick question, is there a video of you explaining the new TH-cam channel name and all the review videos. I really love these videos. As someone who loves camping but sadly can’t I love seeing all the amazing products. Thanks Nate.
Thanks! No I never did a video to explain it, I made a post in the facebook group, but the strangest things throw off the algorithm on yt so I didn't make a video. I may talk about it in a future video though.
@@remotetrapper8991 oh no problem, I'm honestly asking as I'm always looking for tents that compare to these from RBM. Is there a major brand ice fishing hot tent out there that is the size of this Hexagon? I'd like to take a look at it if so.
What is your favorite feature of this tent? hot-tent.com/nathanrambaud7033259
Great review, Looks like a solid tent that's got outdoor enthusiasts excited! The anticipation is real.
This is crazy! I just saw my parents house in your background, I drive by your house all the time. I love your hummer.
LOL! That's awesome!
Great review and some fine engineering in the tent. Enjoy 👍.

Nice tent!!
Great tent and setup. Pretty straight forward. Hope it's as solid as it seems to be.

Awesome! I'm gonna have to remember to look for those other two sleeves for the poles, I completely missed those lol
Thanks for a great review. RBM need to make a version of this large model that has an inner "thermal lining" like an ice-fishing tent has.
Can you refer me to one that has that lining? I'd love to see what you mean by that. Thanks!

how about the price??
thousand if u get the fireplace I think it's called Canimous.stove
This particular model appears to be $2100
i could get into a tent like that for sure. i always wondered about a stove being in a tent such as the tent burning where the pipe goes out

That is what I would call a king-size luxury hunting blind
Looks like in the other corners of that lift up part had slots for the other poles

Neat tent ⛺️ 👌
Thanks for the review. This tent is on my wish list. Now I'm even more excited to get one
Just a big ground blind

Lmao with the scissors!!!!!!
Jake snake can wriggle under the tent.
Getting a bit dizzy , slow the turn around please 🙏
I have to be nice 👍
Ridiculously overpriced !!!
Compared to what?
@@luxurytentcampingcompared to any major brand ice fishing insulated tent. Don't get me wrong, they are beautiful tents

to me it just seems like there's too many failure points
You sure there aren't slots in the door for those extra poles? Put them in and it becomes a swinging door instead of a zipper door??
Not that I can find, no.
