@@megashark1013 Oh, you right, my bad bro, I get what you mean, mainly in general Sawano music is always praised but there wasn't any video that talks about it in depth in AOT structurally.
Yamaoka created an insane concept within sounds design. The silence of silent hill is what's scary, not loud jumpscares, just the occasional sound of radio static.
I'm relieved to know that. I thought Kohta Yamamoto was going to be the only composer. I mean, his music has potential, but it's not as amazing as Sawano's music.
I'm glad everything stayed the same the only thing that changed was well the studio and since the guy that Animated all Levi's fights is a free lancer we can hope they bring him back. Another thing is the dynamic camera angles THANK THE HEAVENS those will return. Idc what anyone says but that S4 Trailer theme was 🔥🔥🔥 and the fact that Yamamoto and Sawano are collabing take that in for a minute....
There is another choice that they must make in the Manga now. And truly. I dont think that making this choice is easy. In fact, it's impossible. The choice that they'd made will change the ending of attack on titan.
@@geekyvors2837 Well to be fair, there are other anime with songs that could shame most in AOT, and for some once you've experienced the brilliance of something else, no matter how objectively better another show might have something, you still refuse to budge on your favourite...it's all personal choice, and since he doesn't seem toxic about it, he probably has a good case🤷
Midnight Sun. The way Hanji yelled "MIKASA" after Mikasa let out that pained scream. It really got to me. Sounded like a mother yelling at a spoiled child.
That cry tho!! 😢😢 I’ve heard that cry too many times. Perfect portrayal desperation for a loved one. Spot! Tf! On!. Every voice actor did a phenomenal job at bringing this to life. It was fully up to them. Every breath and gasp..there wasn’t one lame or dull moment.👌👀
Even thinking about episode 55 has me crying. It's such a hard episode to watch because there's no right answer. Either way, we've lost someone irreplaceable, someone who could have given a lot more than what they did. It's tragic.
Abu Troll al cockroachistan Yeah, I’m still peeved and sad about Bertholdt’s death. Gets me every time and I really liked his Titan design and his characterization. Deserved better, both from a writing standpoint and an in universe character standpoint. Guy took a Major L and I felt that. Pushed through to the end, but alas had none of his comrades around him when he died. Stuff like that makes me really feel pretty sad inside. Couldn’t imagine going out like that. Don’t care who it is, getting eaten alive is the worst way to go, along with not knowing what’s become of your friends.
I think they also did something similar in the last episode where there isn’t any music until eren talks in front of the sea. The silence just made the music at the end more impactful.
Up until that episode I couldn't understand how Eren would feel bad for killing titans because of them being patriots. Then the group found that titan that had dragged itself across the ground for what looked like decades and I felt so bad for it. Shit completely changed my perspective.
it was so beautiful but it was also so sad. you could just feel the sadness emanating from eren in all ways possible. isayama really made him miserable i hate it :(
I’ve been saying this for YEARS. The music is arguably the best part of the show and is perfectly matched to almost every scene. How Sawano is able to audibly paint the picture of soaring in the air, facing an impossible enemy, and the power of the high moments, the despair of the low moments is so incredible. As good as anything Zimmer has ever done.
I wish you wouldn't compare with Zimmer even though you mean it in a good sense. Zimmer is not a standard for Sawano. They're both phenomenal and their works are completely separate. I never see anyone say Zimmer's works are as good as Sawano.
@@pianoboi4842 He is influenced by Zimmer, but he's also influenced by Yoko Kanno, Joe Hisaishi and John Williams et cetera. To me, Sawano and Zimmer's styles are still largely different. Their use of orchestras and drums and everything has very different feels to them. You can see the hint of influence, but not really as large a similarity to compare them. Of course, I have no right to stop anyone from comparing the two but I think an argument about who's better is very much pointless
@@anusha8085 I get your point and i know he is influenced by various composers, just like every composer. The fact is that, simply put, the first time i heard a Sawano piece i immediately thought: "Wow this is cool, sounds like Zimmer, but with more energy". That's it.
Came back here after S4 ep 5. People are complaining the lack of epic orchestral music during the episode's finale. I reaaaally appreciate the silence and suspense. Even as a manga reader the episode had me at the edge of my seat.
yeah you’re right, the scene just wouldn’t be delivered the same way if they changed the music, you worded that really well saying it had you on the edge of your seat I felt the same way even though im an anime only watcher like the pure silence has waiting very nervously waiting for what is to come next. but all in all I never tend to complain about their choices to use music for which moments because it always works out so so well. one of the many reasons why I love attack on titan
To me it kinda felt like the lack of music was meant to kind of show you that what eren is doing is horrible and shouldn't be accompanied with epic music as he slaughters innocent people and fights the war hammer it was a totally brutal fight almost establishing eren as a villain
I can't even make that choice. I could go for any of these, but I could also so easily say Rittaikaido, Counter-Attack Mankind, 2 Volt, call your name, hell, Vogel im Kafig, even the OST "Attack on Titan". Every single one of these OST's I could quite easily place as my favorite amongst not just this show but so many other shows out there. It's actually insane just how good a treatment this show got in almost every regard from WIT and it's Mangaka, and thankfully, even though the studio has been switched, from the trailer alone I'm feeling a whole lot more confident than One Punch Man for Season 4.
Vogel im Kafig is that kind of ost that even if repeatedly used, it doesnt get old. It's timeless and has creatively different versions yet when you hear it you KNOW its that song. It's timeless. Chef's kiss.
One thing I've noticed about AOT's music which I rarely see any other show do is that it makes awesome music for one season, and then never uses that music in any other season. It sounds like that would be dissapointing, since the music was so awesome. But they somehow manage to give us new and even better music in the subsequent seasons. Youseebiggirl is still the best track though.
He did recycle the tune, tho. Call of Your Name and Counterattack Mankind, for instance, has several varieties that some of the tune could be found tucked in other ost. I consider it as a form of storytelling device. If you listen *really*closely, you could hear faint Counterattack Mankind opening tune in Rod Reiss Titan Theme, depicting humanity fighting back the monster. Just my two cents.
@@ervinadyahnovianti6813 Yeah, I've started to notice that now. I don't know why I didn't see it before. But I've noticed that EMA has sort of been left behind.
@@ervinadyahnovianti6813 Recycling the tune actually makes some things better. For example, we have Vogel im Kofig, which becomes YouSeeBigGirl, which becomes Apple Seed. All of them are amazing in their own right, and they reflect the current state of the show at the point that it plays. Another example is the main theme. Don't remember what it's called, but it then gets remixes such as WMiD and Humanity or Titans, which are much more exciting and hype because they're built upon the original theme. I feel like I misinterpreted your comment, but regardless, my comment still stands
This is brilliantly depicted. Even though I didn't sided with either Armin or Erwin, there was something very different in this episode. Never realized it's the silence all the time.
I like how I was convinced to watch this video about audio within the first 2 seconds because the audio quality on your voice was so damn clean it convinced me you were an expert. Whats your secret? lol
not like every second youtube channel these days goes that pseudo deep interpretation scheme mixed with baity scenes to trigger your urges while barely grantin valuable information
I relate the Levi's rage scene in his OVA when he goes wild on the titan that killed his friends to the final fight between Azula and Zuko in Avatar the last airbender. both of them are showing immense physical strength and our main characters are winning, but the music in the background is soft and sads. Even though Levi was winning and Zuko/Katara were winning their respective battles, the circumstances were heartwrenching
Even though Naruto is nowhere near this show I thought the same in Kakashi vs Obito fight. I was my favorite fight in the whole series with the perfect music placement not because it was just a good fight scene but because the emotions were so overwhelming in it with the flashbacks
You know, "perfect " is a word thrown around alot with this show. Episode "hero" got a perfect score on imdb, the episode before titled "perfect game". When I say this is the greatest SHOW (not anime) ppl look at me like I'm crazy.
@@novahspins5153 well, that's a pity cause this decent show u mention just now is considered as one of the greatest tv series of all time in many platform. And the strong point' of AoT is story' telling, a mystery story' telling that revolves around a mystery box, which is the basement. Filled with action, political drama, and cruelty. For the Character, i agree to disagree, okay there is some Character like Mikasa who have less development. But that's because u don't mention it a character like Historia, Erwin, Reiner and obv, Eren. Idk if u already read the manga or not, but oh God. Istg that Eren is one of the best fictional Character, his story' is get tragic and flawless. That's make him a really really mesmerizing Character. Just search it chapter 121/122 of AoT. That's one of if not the greatest manga chapters I've ever read.
Like I said before, Eren can become the antagonist, director, producer, story writer and literally everything else, except nobody can ever replace God Sawano as the genius composer.
Hm... I agree, but I also think that besides the soundtrack, Linked Horizon is just as important to the score and Sawano. Both of them make this show... Well, this show. Even still I think it woild be cool if we get new composers every so often. That said, with todays episode I think there couldve been a much better soundtrack besides 2volt for erens transformation
I love how you say Tv show instead of Anime or even manga, bcoz SnK easily trangress those limit. If more people are exposed to this, they would come to understand the things like GoT don't even stand a chance compare to this masterpiece, but the stereotypes affiliated to anime and manga prevent that from happening
Well it's still an anime but definitely one of the most mindblowing ones. It helped to make anime much more mainstream! Close-minded people don't even deserve to discover that greatness
i think that's a stretch, i love AOT and GOT. they're both entirely different. Plus AOT isn't done yet.... GOT was ruined by its director/producers... the books are far better.
@@IAmTheTruCanadian Sure AoT hasn't ended, but if it does end on the same note it's going so far, it easily has upper hand on GoT(and i am talking books, the tv show don't even come close). On the point of them being entirely different, i can't help but laugh on people who call GoT dark, and how it kills character, AoT surpasses it on both points. Those people don't even know AoT exist. And there are so many people out there who have a selected catalogue of things they have seen or read and declare them the best. The show Dark is an example, (criminally underrated)it surpasses GoT if u want to keep the competition in the same medium.
Adam J. Harper yeah, I don’t wanna see a movie filled with BS to please the radical-politically active audience, I wanna see a movie that allows me an escape from all that. Don’t keep reminding me of reality, make me lost in the world of the film I’m watching. Isn’t that the true point of media like movies and books?
Episodes 53, 54 and 55 are my favorite pieces of fictional work ever. It is a pure rollercoaster of emotions, and every part of it from animation to music is just so perfect. Erwin’s speech and charge, Levi’s retaliation and Armin’s sacrifice will always be my favorite moments, and I doubt that there’s something with an even greater emotional value and technical genius that will topple those crowning moments.
@@baconfromducks726 mappa does not even have a say in what music is used. They just do the drawing and animation for the commite that gives tasks to anime studios, ect.
The music really stood out to me immediately. As the show goes on, everything else is absolutely incredible as well. But damn, the music really heightens the experience.
I've always said Attack on Titan is what a Christopher Nolan anime would look like. The constant tension, the twists, the mystery and emotion. Another reason I've always said that is because of the music. At times it's Hans Zimmer-esq.
I can see it being Hans Zimmer-esque. They bring in the choirs and bombastic music cues on similar emotional beats and blend into the show in a way where youre hearing the music but paying attention to everything else. Your subconscious listens and remembers for you later.
remember when eren kruger and grisha are talking while the ending music is playing? and also in the end when kruger said “whose memories are they from?” BOOM! the chorus and the credits started to roll. The entry of every music in this show is a 100/10, gives me chills all the time
THIS EXACTLY. After reading/watching Attack on Titan, almost all manga/anime seem "dumb" and/or "shallow", even though I know that each show has their own charm. I try not to do it as much as I can, but when I'm watching another anime, somewhere in my subconscious mind, I'm thinking "AOT did this better". It's SO frustrating!
RIGHT!! I was hearing all this hype about AOT and Jujutsu Kaisen but made a dumb decision of binging AOT first then watching JJK,and honestly can't enjoy JJK fully when I am waiting for the next episode of AOT Season 4
@@swagatdas4787 Jujutsu Kaisen is honestly an overhyped usual shounen anime with good animation, I would say everything that happened so far was better done in My Hero Academia, and MHA isn't even one of my favorites Jujutsu Kaisen is just "edgy MHA" with an inferior version of a nen system from Hunter X Hunter Everybody has their own powers Use the energy from inside you Both have the OP character to make you feel safe when he's around, Gojou and All Might, and Gojou will probably be defeated somehow in the future or else Jujutsu will always be boring Various characters with different weird appearances and strong personalities and now there wil be an arc in which two different groups of "students" will fight in a competition, sounds like what happened in My Hero Academia season 3 but worse. Defeated OP main villain which will probably be back in some time and he has some plan in mind (All For One and Sukuna)
When I made my boyfriend watch AoT with me for the first time (it was my 4th time rewatching but first time for him) I always held my hand towards the screen very hyped and said "Just listen to this frickin godly soundtrack" a little too much and both of us are musicians. I always mention the soundtrack when I explain AoT to people not knowing it because I believe it's one of the better aspects of the anime. I love Sawano's style and also played Xenoblade X where he composed the OST. Just marvellous and powerful.
There are so many fantastic elements to the AoT soundtracks that I cannot even begin to cover them all. A few favourites of mine: The track called 'Violin' is probably my favourite of all. We hear it when Eren has transformed in season 1 and leaves dead titans everywhere. The echoing piano with a beat to each key press, sounding like distant footsteps, alluding to a larger presence watching from afar/being trapped in an echo chamber (the walls) whilst something greater has its eyes on you constantly. The synthetic white noises popping in, makes me think of glitching realities, a tangle, a mess. The track captures so much horror, unknown and it just makes you stop dead in your tracks and think. The more classical and traditional instruments fit the setting of Paradis and it's comforting/familiar. But the more new age, synthetic elements glitching in are foreign and strange much like the world beyond Paradis. I've noticed that Call to Silence is weaved into a LOT of tracks but altered slightly each time, there's something beautiful and terrifying about that.
Fantastic analytical videos of Attack on Titan or any show's music are hard to come by. But to get such a great video covering Attack on Titan's critically overlooked score? Amazing!
Everything. Literally everything that's in this anime is beautiful. Especially the music. The way it's played out like if we're telling the story from the manga, to making it come alive through our very own ears, eyes, and feelings ( physically and emotionally ) Every Music note keeps the characters on check. It keeps your emotions balance. Making sure when it's the right moment to feel the senses come to life. Me as an emotional person, cried at the parts where you were supposed to cry, was happy when needed to be happy, scared when had to be, and felt the pain that EVERY character went through ( again, physically and mentally ). The whole anime taught you that, we are human. So feel how human it is for us, in every situation. Feel the tension, torture, tips that keep on leading you to path. A path that will always be crossed. As long as you follow. And that's all thanks to the feeling of music..
Call your name gives me chills to this day. Just imagining some of aot's songs playing in some moments that will happen in the next season is almost a dream.
3:45 complete and absolute chills. Literally made one of the best points for anime in general. Sometimes there shouldn’t be any noise or blaring music at all to set a tone like most other animes do. Silence is Everything
Vogel im Käfig is, at least for me, the greatest example of how well the soundtrack fits the tone of the show and Eren's Character in general. While seeming really peaceful and hope-giving in the first half with the lyrics talking about a beautiful life and nature (I'm German, I understand the lyrics). The second half on the other hand is kind of devastating and has a dark, but also epic tone to it. The lyrics changed completely, talking a lot about death, tears, grief, sorrow and cruelty and in the climax, talking about moving forward despite said emotions. Plus the orchestral sound is amazing and perfectly chosen to manifest those shades musically.
Every time I see the scene where Mikasa and Eren are crying about Armin, and Levi has to make the choice, I need to cryyy! It's so beautiful! Especially how Mikasa screamed at Levi, while Hanji pulled her back. I felt Mikasa. I literally feel the whole Anime.
The Music is sooo but sooo darn good that I read my SNK manga with the anine music in the background and switch depending on how the chapter progresses. Chp 129 had me blasting my earphones! HOLY CRAP
This made me cry, the music is so dynamic. The composition with the rising and falling of silence and music is amazing, and I cant wait to see where season 4 of AOT takes us.
YES. THANK YOU. Thank you for making this video. In my opinion the soundtrack is a BIG part of AoT's success. Sawano gave the anime a distinct identity, and without him, AoT wouldn't be the masterpiece that it is. That's why I'm kinda scared for season 4. Sawano is credited, but as far as I understood, it's only because they'll be reusing some of hist tracks, while the new ones are from the new composer.
*Levi's choice* is my favorite piece of the soundtrack and now I understand better why, thank you. I didn't expect that it wasn't just that 3 minute scene but the entire silence of the rest of episode that makes it so grand. Great video!
Recently got around to watching seasons 2 and 3. Gotta say, you hit the nail right on the head. Those episodes were spot on and AOT has perfect musical direction. Everything came together perfectly and all of the emotion was there. Great video!
One of my favourite scene is when Eren sealed Trost with the giant boulder. The music was perfect for that intense scene, the ambiance was so powerful, still gives me goosebumps every time I watched it.
yes! hope this gets a lot of attention. people need to appreciate every aspect of this show and its story, it is absolutely amazing and I can talk about it f o r e v e r even though I read the manga before this episode aired and knew what was about to go down, nothing ever made me feel feelings like this episode did
Amazing analysis, just gave me goosebumps all over again. Watching from another angle how amazing AoT is makes me so glad and excited how it has evolved. Also how deep and well thought it is. Thanks for this great analysis. Keep up the great content, just earned a new suscriber.
Sometimes it feels like AoT gets praised for very superficial things. Such as the action, or plot twists. While that is very well done, there's so many other things the show handles exceptionally well! Very much agree with you on the soundtracks! There's 2 moments in the show, i think it kinda flopped. The second Levi vs Ackermann fight, where rap music starts. That'd work for a training montage, not a life/death situation. Takes you out of the suspence. The second one is Levi vs Beast titan. The music was just very underwhelming in that scene, just didn't fit with what was happening on screen. But other than that, it's pretty much perfect!
Imo, the soundtrack for Levi vs Beast Titan fits because it isn't too 'epic' because for Levi to defeat the Beast Titan, too much was sacrificed. It can't be too 'awesome'. I think....
@@megusato2212 I think this version is better than the anime: "Levi VS Beast Titan | Shingeki no Kyojin Season 3 Part 2 [SoulMadness Edition] 1080p HD CC Subtitles" th-cam.com/video/oSm4nAFpB8Q/w-d-xo.html
@@beastvicious8672 Imo SouldMadness' version is just too "fan fantasy-ish" and hyper, the one actually used in the anime fits the situation more like the other comment said.
I think those spots really fit. With the Levi vs Kenny fight, I think the rap kind of helps to represent how Kenny is a trickster and how he is one of the first opponents to give Levi a challenge (plus I just like the song), although I can see how it might take you out of it. But for Levi vs Beast Titan, I think the music is perfect. It’s epic while still not being too loud. Music like the kind used in the video you linked are good for large, bombastic battles, but the battle in the episode is more quiet and contemplated, like the empty battlefield they’re on with the dust settling.
Well, first of all, congratulation on the video. You've stated right: The trilogy (Perfect Game, Hero, Midnight Sun) is the best not only out of SnK, but also out of most Tv shows I can remember right now. 1. The silence in episode 55 is like the anesthesia after the whole emotional rollercoaster that episode 54 brings to the audience. 2. I believe that any heroic or epic song for Levi vs Beast Titan would sound anticlimatic. The fight begins by Zeke's point of view and you also have a short flashback during it. The way they used '2volt' was very clever, because it starts with a dramatic beat with the soldiers dying; then the second part builds up Levi's controlled rage; then another dramatic score with the unexpected conclusion of their fight. It is perfection! 3. You see, the song entitled 'Attack on Titan' (pratically the main theme) is mostly used when Eren is on screen, which makes more sense to me. 'Youseebiggirl' is the theme song of the marleyan warriors, that's why would be stupid inserting it in the very last episode for example (final season, episode 5). The fandom sometimes doesn't reason in that way: They choose the song by how emotionally appealing it may sound. Nothing against it, but every OST has a meaning in the show, and the directors try to respect that.
Both midnight sun and warrior use music in a perfect way. Building tension through the entire episode with amazing pat off while perfectly portraying the emotions of the scene. Great video man!
SnK, without a doubt, transcends the 'Anime Genre', and I'm not lightly saying that because I think its so cool or that I'm a master otaku/weaboo that watches anime a lot (in fact I don't). It isn't 'Perfect' but it is a 'Masterpiece', a masterpiece with flaws that doesn't overshadow the greatness it has. Characters: Obviously, the variety of characters we have in this show is so versatile in terms of plot, it's hard NOT to be attracted to a certain 'trope'. Although none of them have an original trope personality, each and everyone of them plays their part so cohesively you overlook the cliche of it. World: Hajime Isayama, as I recall learning from watching his radio talks with voice actors and the Japanese anime medias online; was basically homeless. To have a person build such a 'creative library' within his mind is ingenious and perpetually rare at this day and age (especially in Japanese Society); the audience can easily relate to the world since 90% of it is grounded yet leaves room for escapism. Story: From plot-twists, uncovering mystery-boxes, political intrigue and action; Attack on Titan is no mere Anime Anime-tropes: Unique and adaptable, have you ever seen a scene that you would definitely call it 'ecchi'? The closest I have seen in the manga/anime revolves around 'Christa' ripping her skirt for Reiner, and even then its composed and not even revealing. In MOST animes, this tends to happen, and I'm glad that AoT/SnK is still keeping it's integrity away from the show itself, instead gives room for to other stand-alone and fanfictious materials to show off. Season 4 is announced, and if MAPPA studio doesn't treat it as WIT studio has in it's three installments, I will be greatly disappointed.

I so glad Sawano is staying for the final season despite the studio change

It should have been ERWIN!!,but ARMIN also is key , because of his stratergies

The whole episode's crazy. I could remember how every line goes. They are literally in my head.

Yeah, I’m still peeved and sad about Bertholdt’s death.
I love that about aot, theres just never a right answer, there is no real enemy other than humanity itself
Rest in piece bertuturu.
I think bertholt is innocent but hes forced by reiner to be bad
If you're a manga reader, you'd know that Reiner is greatly suffering as well
I think they also did something similar in the last episode where there isn’t any music until eren talks in front of the sea. The silence just made the music at the end more impactful.
Yeah!!! I keep repeating the part where Eren starts talking, it's sooooo sad and beautiful, I don't know how to describe it.
Judy Joestar its very bittersweet
Poor eren got out of one cage to realize he’s in a bigger cage now
@sara gomes I think they keeped Sawano for music director
One of the best parts of the show*
I wish you wouldn't compare with Zimmer even though you mean it in a good sense. Zimmer is not a standard for Sawano. They're both phenomenal and their works are completely separate. I never see anyone say Zimmer's works are as good as Sawano.
@@anusha8085 The comparison works because their style is similar. Sawano himself admitted that he is influenced by Zimmer.
Yeah people just like complaining
I wish they used a very dramatic song for the transformation that’s my only gripe
yeah you’re right, the scene just wouldn’t be delivered the same way if they changed the music, you worded that really well saying it had you on the edge of your seat I felt the same way even though im an anime only watcher like the pure silence has waiting very nervously waiting for what is to come next. but all in all I never tend to complain about their choices to use music for which moments because it always works out so so well. one of the many reasons why I love attack on titan
To me it kinda felt like the lack of music was meant to kind of show you that what eren is doing is horrible and shouldn't be accompanied with epic music as he slaughters innocent people and fights the war hammer it was a totally brutal fight almost establishing eren as a villain
Among the sound tracks, "Vogel Im Kafig/YouSeeBigGirl", "Attack on d", and "ThanksAT" are my top three favorites.
Mine are in this order:
- Attack ON Titan, XL-TT
- Call your name, both versions
- Apple Seed, YouSeeBIGGIRL
- Zero Eclipse
I can't even make that choice. I could go for any of these, but I could also so easily say Rittaikaido, Counter-Attack Mankind, 2 Volt, call your name, hell, Vogel im Kafig, even the OST "Attack on Titan".
Every single one of these OST's I could quite easily place as my favorite amongst not just this show but so many other shows out there. It's actually insane just how good a treatment this show got in almost every regard from WIT and it's Mangaka, and thankfully, even though the studio has been switched, from the trailer alone I'm feeling a whole lot more confident than One Punch Man for Season 4.
ǝt’æk 0N táitn is amazing as well
AfroMoose 253 I agree! YouseeBigGirl might be the best but to me Attack on Titan is one of the most ‘iconic’ AoT has ever had.
The tune of Vogel im Kafig has been active in my mind ever since I first watched the show 5 years ago
Vogel im Kafig is that kind of ost that even if repeatedly used, it doesnt get old. It's timeless and has creatively different versions yet when you hear it you KNOW its that song. It's timeless. Chef's kiss.
PERIODT it just always gets me so hyped and it makes the scenes so better
Yes it really is one of the best OST of SnK.
Vogel Im Kafig is perfect. Not just my favorite in the AoT soundtrack but also my favorite in any anime OST period.
It's my favorite song ever!
The term is leimotif, i think.
@@ervinadyahnovianti6813 Yeah, I've started to notice that now. I don't know why I didn't see it before. But I've noticed that EMA has sort of been left behind.
They're are multiple different versions of a single song. Oddly enough their all very good and feel different.

For the Character, i agree to disagree, okay there is some Character like Mikasa who have less development. But that's because u don't mention it a character like Historia, Erwin, Reiner and obv, Eren. Idk if u already read the manga or not, but oh God.
The show Dark is an example, (criminally underrated)it surpasses GoT if u want to keep the competition in the same medium.
yeah, not only stereotypes, people is lazy, so lazy that they dont want to read subtitles, or they think that if its not from their country, is trash.

Midnight sun needs to be 10/10
I've always said Attack on Titan is what a Christopher Nolan anime would look like. The constant tension, the twists, the mystery and emotion.
Another reason I've always said that is because of the music. At times it's Hans Zimmer-esq.
Damn you are so right
Agreed! 💯
God bless you for saying that
I can see it being Hans Zimmer-esque. They bring in the choirs and bombastic music cues on similar emotional beats and blend into the show in a way where youre hearing the music but paying attention to everything else. Your subconscious listens and remembers for you later.
"Christopher Nolan anime"
Couldn't have explained it better myself. It's much more accurate than comparing AOT to GOT or Lord of the Rings.
remember when eren kruger and grisha are talking while the ending music is playing? and also in the end when kruger said “whose memories are they from?” BOOM! the chorus and the credits started to roll. The entry of every music in this show is a 100/10, gives me chills all the time

Honestly I love AOT. The only bad thing about it in my opinion is that by being so good, it's ruined all other anime for me
THIS EXACTLY.
Then stop comparing, watch other animes with an open mind, there are other amazing animes like Hunter X Hunter and Re:Zero
that’s saying enough. attack on titan is a true masterpiece.
RIGHT!! I was hearing all this hype about AOT and Jujutsu Kaisen but made a dumb decision of binging AOT first then watching JJK,and honestly can't enjoy JJK fully when I am waiting for the next episode of AOT Season 4
@@swagatdas4787 Jujutsu Kaisen is honestly an overhyped usual shounen anime with good animation, I would say everything that happened so far was better done in My Hero Academia, and MHA isn't even one of my favorites

Everybody has their own powers
Use the energy from inside you
Both have the OP character to make you feel safe when he's around, Gojou and All Might, and Gojou will probably be defeated somehow in the future or else Jujutsu will always be boring
Various characters with different weird appearances and strong personalities
and now there wil be an arc in which two different groups of "students" will fight in a competition, sounds like what happened in My Hero Academia season 3 but worse.
This was so sick! More videos like this one, please!
Whenever I tell people about Attack on Titan, I mention the music as part of one of the things that makes this show great. Thank you for this.
Fantastic analytical videos of Attack on Titan or any show's music are hard to come by.
But to get such a great video covering Attack on Titan's critically overlooked score? Amazing!
The music is arguably one of the best aspects of Aot. Thank you soo much for making this video!
Everything. Literally everything that's in this anime is beautiful. Especially the music. The way it's played out like if we're telling the story from the manga, to making it come alive through our very own ears, eyes, and feelings ( physically and emotionally )
Every Music note keeps the characters on check.
Such quality despite being only ~100 views and
The musical on the OVA no regrets series is also 10/10
3:45 complete and absolute chills.
That episode spoke volumes, Sawano and Wit Studio did an amazing job choosing the correct ost at the perfect time
Every time I see the scene where Mikasa and Eren are crying about Armin, and Levi has to make the choice, I need to cryyy! It's so beautiful! Especially how Mikasa screamed at Levi, while Hanji pulled her back. I felt Mikasa. I literally feel the whole Anime.

I think....

Beast, complete disagree. The change in soundtrack makes the scene lose its strategic conclusion feel in exchange of just blatant action
Story: From plot-twists, uncovering mystery-boxes, political intrigue and action; Attack on Titan is no mere Anime
Anime-tropes: Unique and adaptable, have you ever seen a scene that you would definitely call it 'ecchi'? The closest I have seen in the manga/anime revolves around 'Christa' ripping her skirt for Reiner, and even then its composed and not even revealing. In MOST animes, this tends to happen, and I'm glad that AoT/SnK is still keeping it's integrity away from the show itself, instead gives room for to other stand-alone and fanfictious materials to show off.
Season 4 is announced, and if MAPPA studio doesn't treat it as WIT studio has in it's three installments, I will be greatly disappointed.
Yes, One piece is too, Naruto too
One piece 1)
Naruto 2)
Snk 3)
Bleach 4)
Hxh/Death Note 5)
My opinion :)
@@Mikomii dont compare shonen with seinen
Ashys one piece is fking trash cant compare with Aot... Naruto is great but cant BE compare either, Bleach ? I think you must be trolling or you re 12, death note is the only anime that has the same lvl but has only 1 season as good as Aot, HxH is already wayway better than one piece and better than Naruto
well..no one asked this but I agree with u..why? Bcs all of my NORMIES friends love AOT so much
@Brandon Gray it is labeled as a shounen but it doesn't sound like shounen at all, I know it's just demographic and it doesn't matter but the concept fits better with Seinen stories.
Anyway, being labeled as a shounen isn't bad it's just because all the shounen we know have a commonly thing going on.
Finally someone talk about the soundtracks
That’s the one thing I’ve always told my friends about AOT. The music in this show is unmatched. Of course most anime’s have great music, but AOT just takes up to the highest level. It is and always will be my favorite anime.
The sound in S2 episode where berthold and Reiner show their true selves is also perfectly done
finally someone made a video about this incredible ost!!!
Thank GOD someone talked about episode 55. After watching that episode, that was the first thing i noticed after rewatching, no sound.
Just Silence...
