The safety improvements and changes to the Willys package are great and kept me from buying a 23, however Jeeps prices are quickly becoming unrealistic.
You definitely aren't wrong about the pricing but they also hold their value tremendously well compared to other vehicles. If you factory order from select dealers you can get one for almost 13% under MSRP. With how well they hold their value and utilizing said deals, total cost of ownership if selling with sub 80k miles is actually quite good. WAY better than literally almost any other vehicle made.
Way way way over priced, My son back in oct, bought a 2019 Rubicon with a blown motor, he has been building, since, went 6.2L LS3 route, hes taking it apart to send off to get repainted! Built outrageously, and still cheaper then even lower model jeeps off the dealer lot...
Jeep pricing became unrealistic as soon as the JL came out. a 2 door sport base model JK in 2018 could be had for under $24,000. a 2 door sport base model JL in 2018 started over $30,000
Big props to Jeep that gave Brad the chance to be apart and test drive the new Jeep... Brad drives his jeeps everyday and knows so much about them and We Love that keep it up Trail Recon !
The issue is most Bronco owners have this idea that theirs are better lol. It takes decades to actually find out the reliability, quality and longevity. Jeep has been experiencing the world since 1941 with a lot of failures and success. Best all season vehicle, all around vehicle especially with the 392. Still don't like the grille, the incomplete look of the dash with just one round AC vent on each sides and that after thought rectagular middle AC vents that are attached to the narrow looking head unit. Honestly the Alpine redesign look better and rugged. It is wider, but it still looks small with the inner screen on some applications. Additional safety is nice tho and towing capacity even tho nobody really buy a wranger with the mindset of towing a vehicle, get a 2500 or 3500 full size truck then lol. What's with the power seats, but yet no hood struts? But hey, we're stuck with all the changes....just need to get used to it. At least it still looks like a Wrangler. Thank you Bronco for making the Wrangler even more capable. With the 392, this is the Thanos of Wranglers. Nice video!
A review on Jeeps from an enthusiast/owner is so much better than an automotive journalist that reviews everything. Brad points out the improvements and if they are any good. For example, power seats in Wranglers. Brad understands why they didn’t have them before and appreciates the update.
As a three-time Jeep owner and enthusiast (95YJ, 98TJ, and now a 16JK), I would really like to see them offer a model with less plastic, technology, and creature comforts, and more of the original, raw, bare bones utility that the name was built on. Give us an I6, manual, with great off road capabilities (suspension, tires, winch), and stay true to the roots. Love the page and the content!
Great video Brad! I would like more comfortable seats (padding-wise) and as a taller driver, I would like for the front driver seat to go back further so I can get a more comfortable driving position. The one button that does all windows up/down would be a cool feature or the one-touch up/down on all 4 switches.
I am 100% with you on the auto up and down windows. I drive a manual and there are time (like toll booths) where I have to stop rolling up the window to shift.
The only thing I wish Jeep would do is find a nice way to mount the mirrors to the body and not the door. Being able to pop off a door and still have a mirror in would be great.
They really should have added a Dana60 rear end option. It may be a little overkill for the v6, but with a diesel or 392 or 37”s on the trail recon edition, I think a Dana60 rear end is warranted
At $80k for my 392, at least give me the option, no it’s not a Cadillac but it is e-class Mercedes money, and it might not be weatherproof but mine is outfitted for overlanding so the top never comes off. I just would like the option, you don’t have to check the box it you don’t want it. In the video he said what option would you want to see… put the antenna back on the fender and give me cooled seats option LOL
A Rubicon "core" version... Base Model/Manual everything but including the axles, lockers, swaybar disconnect, etc. Would be nice to bring down the price of a Rubi by dropping some of the creature comforts but retaining the warrantied offroad capabilities.
I really like the 24 Wrangler, the upgrades are really good, especially the full float rear axle. I have the steel bumper with winch (same warn winch) on my JK and I think its great that it is now offered from the factory (plus the necessary adjustments to front suspension to handle that extra weight in the front). My only critique to Jeep is that they have abandoned the "original" Jeep Wrangler, the two door! There's really nothing special or improved for the two door (how about the extreme recon package on the 2 door?)
You don’t get it. We DO NOT want upgrades to the 2-Door! I want a basic 2-Door so I can built it up like I did with my 2 Door JK. After market parts are better, give you more options and cost less than factory packages with extra junk.
@@goldeneaglejk2678I think the engineers at Jeep can probably figure out bolt on parts just as well as those at Teraflex, Rock Krawler, etc. My biggest thing is I don't want to finance those things when buying the vehicle.
Add more cameras for an overhead view like many cars have currently. On the dash you lift out the mats and there are screw holes there to mount a mounting system. Does the winch come with the remote control?
Relocate the locker switch, sway bar disconnect and aux switches to the top of dash or above mirror. Bonus points if you have separate switches for front and rear lockers😊
Built in trail doors. Make the doors to where you can easily remove the outer and inner door panels to expose a factory trail door. This can be done easily. The outer doors panels are flat. You can secure them like Saturn "S" series secured the polymer (plastic) outer panels. The glass window and window regulator would be the biggest obstacle. But it can be done.
The auto up/down for the windows is my biggest gripe about my JLU. It would have been a simple quality of life improvement to make and I was hoping it would make it into the refresh. Love everything else though!
My GTI has it and it seems hard to select auto up/down from manual. I like to crack the window and crank up the AC all the way when my cars been parked in the sun. Almost every time I do it the window goes all the way down.
I see that they have taken the 3.6 liter V6 away as the standard engine in several of the Wrangler models and are pushing the I4 turbo. I believe that is a huge mistake. I know that I'm not the only guy that is very concerned about the reliability and reduced longevity of a 4-cylinder turbo engine.
Yeah if you want the 6 cylinder in an automatic transmission you _have_ to get a Rubicon. It's unavailable in any other trim in that configuration (you can still get the manual six speed w/the V6). Give it a year or two and the turbo 4 will be the only engine choice.
I've owned 2 Wranglers and 1 Gladiator. 2 with the V6 and 1 with the 4cyl turbo. The 4cyl is by far a better engine. Way more torque off the line. They also just updated the turbo and intake redesign. So far, it's proven reliable
The rear axel on the 392 rubicons I was told are not full floating axel. Every other trim level is except the 392. That was from the head guy at Jeep. I have seen him say that to a few TH-camrs ow including the Guys at TFL.
Seeing Toyota and Jeep making HUGE changes in their new vehicle can be a pro/con; interesting to see these vehicles in 5 years when repairs/changes are needed
For us dog owners it would be nice if Jeep replaced cutpile carpet with a plastic or rubber material that's easy to clean, cleaning dog hair out of the carpet is tough. I have all weather mats, and cargo cover but with open windows or top off the hair still get all over cutpile carpet.
Great video Brad! As some others have said it would be nice if Jeep offered a “stripped “ down model with out all the technology. A really solid base model for folks to build on.
My buddy's wife just bought a 2024 Sahara and is having some issues when it comes to phone connectivity through it to the point where it will freeze up the entire infotainment system. Been frustrating for her. Hopefully an update comes soon to address it. Great honest video as always!
As a JT Mojave owner, I would like to see the window auto-down/up in the switches I also would like to see transfercase Gearing options when ordering any JL/JT And lastly, More room for Spare tires. JEEP Knows a large portion of customers are upgrading to 37” tires. Make that spot big enough for a 37” spare
I have a 2020 Cherokee trailhawk and before that a sahara wrangler. I’ve never spent so much time at service shop! I love the idea of Jeeps but their reliability issues are out of control. I hope they’re getting better with these new ones.
I am considering purchasing one of these. I have a question for you. I see this year one cane get it with the 35" tire package and have the v6. And you mention the 4.88 gearing. I have never had a Jeep, so can you tell me about that gearing choice please.
I love that off-road trails are preloaded. Way past time that was available. The full float D44 is great, I just wish they'd offer a full float D60. I'll bet Jeep could make a deal with DynaTrac for them to build the axle that would bolt right in. Sure, it'd be expensive, but having the option from the factory would be great.
Couldn't disagree more. It may sound cool, but ONX, Gaia, and others do a far better job and are easy to update. Speaking as someone with a German car from 2009, you pay (a lot) for map updates and eventually they *will* be unsupported as that head unit ages.
Dana 60s on a Jeep wrangler from the factory is very unrealistic. Will be too heavy and cost jeep too much money to do all their safety tests for these models to only have 2% of all sales. They wouldn’t make Jeep money
I got to play with is a bit more after filming this video and all be talking more about it soon and I can say the onboard off-road trails app is pretty incredible!
What options/improvements will be available on Gladiator? Have they addressed the premature corrosion issues? Sacrificial zinc strips between doors and hinges?
@trailrecon How was the fit and finish of the dash and above the windshield. Historically, sturdy without rattle but other reviewers showed how loose and jiggly those sites were on this 2024 after these changes. Your experience?? thanks
I only had the Jeep for 4 days, but in that time I didn't notice any rattles... it's no Cadillac, but the fit and finish for a Jeep is solid in my opinion.
Can we all take a moment and thank the Ford Bronco for all the newest Jeep upgrades? A loss of market share is always a cause for some innovative features or in this case; basic amenities like power seats.
@@upinya5223 The Wrangler can 2500-3500lbs, while the Bronco is at 3500-4500lbs... Neither of them is really great at it, so I'm not sure that's really the "zinger" that I'd go with.
Hi Brad. I love the channel. Great review on the new 2024. I have wanted a Jeep ever since I was a teen. Now, at 55, I am still pinchining all my pennies to make the 2024 be my first Jeep purchase. Wish me luck. A $1,000 monthly car payment is a little hard to swallow.
I have had my 2024 Sahara for almost a month now and absolutely love it! I’m so glad I went with it instead of a 2023. 1500 miles and counting! I’m still figuring out some of the technology though but everything so far has been very nice and responsive/very easy to use. My only complaint is that I’m short and my arms don’t reach the passenger side of the screen without leaning forward but wow what a problem to have in a wrangler. My husband even begs to drive it to work over his challenger scat pack lol
Hey Brad. Awesome experience your having..can't believe how far your channel has come in a few years. If you could let Jeep know that not everyone likes RED..they have the least choices in the most expensive model. If it was just the seats it would be ok I would just put seat covers..but the red stitching everywhere drives me nuts.
I agree with auto up/down windows. They also need to add ventilated seats and a rear seat decline (at least a couple of inches). I would have upgraded my 2019 wrangler rubicon if they only added the ventilated seats!
Not the point, these Jeeps are costing enough as is. My wife has had ventilated seat and sporting SUVs (Acura, Infiniti, and now a Pilot Elite all around $50 to $55,000 all with ventilated seats. These new wranglers are averaging $65 miles o $90. They should have even more creature comforts. Even if they are the ultimate 4x4. This is my fourth Wrangler since the came out with the four door in 2007. I’m not sure features justify price anymore.
This by 1000 times! I have a JKUR and wish they had upgraded to ventilated seats, that alone would probably convince me to upgrade! Always the worst when you get out and your backside is full of sweat 😂😅
I think Stellantis, like other car manufacturers, has crazy expectations about prices of vehicles. Maybe there are some people that can spend $80K to take a jeep off road, but due to the declining quality of the vehicles, it will require $$ to maintain. My 2015 JKUR has been very reliable and I have only had to fix a death wobble and a couple of axle seals. My friends 2022 Wrangler (Rubicon) has had like 8 recalls and several other significant repairs. I understand it is great to try out a new Wrangler and smell that new car smell..... but I would expect the quality to be the same in the new ones. Oh... I added a steel bumper and winch on mine with an after market radio with Apply Car Play and Navigation...... :)
Score one for having a simpler vehicle. My 2021 JLU Sport S with the manual transmission has never been in the shop due to failure, but I dont have any fancy things like adaptive cruise control or parking sensors. It has one open recall from the clutch plate but even jeep was like "we don't know how to fix it, stand by for updates."
Spot on. The JK/JKUs were a good mix of mechanical and electrical. I haven’t had any issues in almost 10 years with my ‘14 JKU. I’ve seen people have numerous problems with the JLs. All these little luxuries are great, but there’s something to be said for simplicity.
Jeep has become a luxury brand. The Grand Cherokee and Wagoneer are luxurious with their equipment but the whole brand is selling the image of go anywhere, do anything, you're in a tough Jeep. The brand and history have become a luxury. People are willing to pay for that image even if they never so much as drive down a dirt road. The Jeep brand has always been a cash cow for whoever owned it.
While I think the added airbags is a plus, how does that effect add-on grab handles, bikini tops, or anything else that used to strap around or to the roll bar?
Love it! But...when are they going to get the mirrors off the doors? Designed to have the doors taken off but you have to buy after market mirrors? Come on Jeep...you can figure this out.
A revision on a lot of areas, but no attempt to address the mirror issue. Are their engineers/designers lazy? or what? Wow! Is it that hard to figure out. Now that the competition has solved it, it really is a bad look not to work it out - right from the factory. Maybe the percentage of people who actually remove doors is pretty low, but still, this is supposed to be the ultimate off-roader! Just can't believe they would let this slide. :(
@@CARvideoshareit I like removing my doors for a day or even an afternoon and having to worry about mirrors is a pain. It would be amazing to have this fixed from the factory.
I think a better jack set up would be cool. That scissor jack sucks and you have no choice but to buy a new one upgraded one and install in the Jeep or get a trailer jack. Would be nice just to already have one as well as the electric air pump like the SRT’s come with.
Love the upgrades they made on the refresh, great option for anyone that’s in the market to trade in now or return their lease. I got stuck with a 2023 and would’ve waited had i known, but I’m not completely taken back by the changes that make me upset because the 2023 has all that I need, some of the refresh stuff is really just extra but not needed for most of us. I’m personally not going to change vehicles until the next generation comes out in 2027 or 2028 I’m guessing.
So beautiful that 392 ❤ love it, and thank for the full explanation of the changes of the axel and review of this amazing rig, my favorites on TH-cam about overland, cheers from Merida, Venezuela ❤
Somehow these “upgrades” (outside of the floating axle) are more of a concern than an improvement to me. The more electric dodads you add the more unreliable these vehicles become. They really need to offer a plain Jane off road capable version instead of these urban soccer mom mall crawlers for me to have any interest in buying a new one
@@XploreAz most don’t see anything more off-road than the edge of a soccer field or a gravel road, my point is they need to make a no frills more affordable version that’s way less trouble prone and complex than these computer controlled glitch ridden things they got now
@@oliverohnemus5791 my point is how do you know? That's a blanket statement because you might know someone who doesn't go off-road. You have no idea what other's do with their vehicles. Just because you see them at shopping centers doesn't mean they don't use them for their purpose.
I can’t wait to get my 2024JL. I am concerned about the intent of being in the windshield. It will only drive costs up. As far as the gorilla glass. I’ve heard nothing but negative things about that. There are a few TH-camrs in your close niche community that has That has tried gorilla glass. They claimed that they received their first chip pulling away from the dealer where they had it installed. I was going to get it on my JK. But after all the reviews I chose not to. Not only does it chip Just as quickly as any normal windshield would. Trying to get a replacement is reported to take quite a bit longer than a normal windshield. I hope to see reviews on the quality of the windshield on these new Jeeps.
@@XploreAz if you mean free windshield replacement under warranty. You’re correct. Not much to worry about. But for the most part at least what I have heard that it is a very long wait because they are always out of stock of these particular windshields.
Completely agree that putting both antennas in the windshield (Satellite, XM, AM/FM etc) is dumber than a bag of hammers. Trying to "clean up the exterior" by removing the standard radio antenna makes no sense for many Jeepers who're gonna add crap all over the outside of their rigs anyway. Most owners will eventually add "coms" (GMRS, HAM, CB, etc) to their rigs anyway, so the attempt to remove the stock radio antenna for aesthetic reasons seems misdirected. Also true that replacement windshields will both backordered and expensive, and 36k miles comes very quickly.
@@pontiacwolf no I mean free windshield replacements through auto insurance. Arizona is one of a handful of states that have a law making auto glass (windshields, headlights, etc.) coverage included with all comprehensive auto insurance policies. I believe we get two free replacements a year per vehicle on your policy. I have never paid for a windshield. In fact, most of the windshield replacement companies here will give you cash back if you go through them.
@@XploreAz gotcha! That would be nice. The only benefit that I have is that one of the last places where I live in Nebraska I have to be good friends with. So he gives me a pretty good deal. Quite a bit better than me going through my insurance company
An option for Dana 60-Dana 80 axles, with TeraFlex 4.5 inch lift packages from factory. The large grill holes are a magnet for grasshoppers into the radiator fins, in my part of the world.
I also think it would be great to have a stripped model without power windows or side airbags etc. go way back to very basic, few amenities & half the price.
Power windows have been options on cars since the 1940's! How expensive can that option actually save? Side airbags have also been around for over 20 years. None of that is new technology and doesn't warrant a large price hike. I agree with your point about a stripped down version for cost savings, but I believe that the highcost of vehicles like Jeep/Chrysler/Ram, come from corporate greed and not old tech.
@Westcoastrocksduh understood but they also don’t have 4-low or lockers. I’m implying a stripped down capable Jeep What if there was a rubicon jr - no push button sway bar disconnect, manual disconnect, 4-low, rear locker, no digital screen just a basic radio, no nav, on 32 or 33’s etc? People could still make it their own but start with a very capable Jeep that could hit most trails stock. And at a price point that the average Jeeper can afford. Buying a base sport requires thousands more to build after you buy it. I know I’m dreaming. I just think they would sell a high volume if they did that at a price point between the Sport-Willys trim.
Love your videos! I want to see the Jeep Wangler with the 3.0L Hurricane Twin Turbo 510 Engine with 510 HP and 500 LB-FT of Torque as an option. I have driven the Grand Wagoneer with this engine and it was awesome! I would also like to see cooled seats. Plus I would like the Granite Crystal offered in the Rubicon X and higher trims. Plus offer the Granite Crystal with the Sky one-touch power top!
I really think Jeep should come out with a rubicon trim that deletes a lot of the power options like power seats, power windows, and power locks. It would be a great way for people to get a more raw jeep experience while having a cheaper way to get all the rubicon goodies
Increase the air flow by shrinking the grill makes perfect sense. I'm like you the more I see it I like it. I'm curious how a horizontal antenna reception is compared to a vertical.
Definitely adding the auto up/down windows on all 4. I think it should be really easy for Jeep to add that. Also for the Rubicon we should be able to use the lockers in any gear, not just 4L.
FYI you can use the rear locker in 4 hi, if you have a model year 2020+ Gladiator or model year 2021+ Wrangler. Put it in 4 hi, press the offroad + button, press and hold the traction control button for about 5 seconds until it fully turns it off, then you can use the rear locker. 👍 Or do what I did and get a tazer jl mini and rear locker can be used in 2wd as well.
When you get a chance to take a look at the jeep concept vehicles, spend a little time with the J6, the 2 door Gladiator. I haven't seen it in a while and it's the missing model in Jeeps lineup. The J6, with a GFC or fourwheel camper in the bed would be an ideal overland rig with its shorter length and wheelbase.
Sorry Brad. We hated the red dash. Not keen on the red seats either. Like the axle and the radio upgrades. And we agree on the more expensive to replace windshield! Keep up the good work!
Hey Brad, Just googling “Jeep Wrangler JL Corrosion Issue” or “JL Corrosion Class Action Law Suit” will show how there is a aluminum body panel corrosion problem with the JLs. Have your heard that Jeep has solved the issue by this 2024 JL? Thanks.
Wranglers are great for people who actually use them for serious and *frequent* off-roading. That said, they are extremely flawed vehicles and simply a "lifestyle brand" for most buyers. I like this new front end if for no other reason than it serves a purpose--more air flow. That's a lesser change. What *isn't* minor is they way they have had to up their game with the release of the Bronco and other competitors--the optional V8, (slightly) more comfortable seats, and better interiors. Finally, the availability of a factory winch from any manufacturer is WAY overdue. With things like active cruise control, lane/anti-collision warnings or braking, and forward cameras, it has been inexcusable for manufacturers of off-road vehicles not to be compatible with heavy duty bumpers and winches.
I believe on the Jeep website it says they incorporated a mounting rail for accessories in the dash. Tried to see if someone said it in the comments, but you viewership has became so big already over 500 comments on you great video that only dropped 12 hours ago. Thanks love your channel.
The steering feel/accuracy still needs to be improved. I've owned 3 wranglers....its fine to be loose on my TJ but not on the JL....its 2023...this needs to be figured out....the steering remains too loose and inaccurate.
Is the Dana 44 Floating rear axle, available from the factory for purchase for those of us wanting to swap out our non floating Dana 44s for the Floater's, to upgrade our older Wranglers?
Great video, Brad. I appreciate your smooth delivery and ample B-roll. I think the price is getting out of hand, and many enthusiasts either can't afford it or take a massive financial risk on a new Jeep. I understand the need for new safety features. which someone has to pay for. It would be great if Jeepers could more easily package their Jeep with only the things they needed to keep the price down (like steel bumpers require the LED package, for example). Thanks for putting this together.
In late October 2024 a Dealership in my area had special ordered a 2024 Jeep Wrangler RubiconX for display in their showroom. We went their to see it and ended up buying it that day. We got a great deal and traded in our 2021 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon. We loved the Gladiator but it took up a lot space in our garage. My only wish is that Jeep should put that Aux. Battery in another spot to make it easier to replace.I trote to Jeep several times with a drawing to make it easier to do. Never heard from them. So I guess I just deal with it!! Enjoy your video's from a former service person!! I spent 9 years in the military. Yanni
Here in Alberta we have to change windshields yearly because of the pebbles they use in winter to add traction. Luckily this means windshields are dirt cheap ($150-300) but with that antenna integrated it seems that price is going to creep up.
Hey you’re finally in my neck of the woods, welcome! Very impressed with the changes honestly, it always seems they seem to change what they perceive will sell and not what the market really wants, definitely seems like they’ve really woken up to the fact that they loose a lot of money to the aftermarket with simple, much needed upgrades to make adventuring more enjoyable, safe and practical.
I'm all about safety, but when you roll the Jeep off-roading, now the air bags are going to hit you, that's actually not safe. Unless they put a shut off for the side air bags when in 4-low, idk. But love the new floating axles, more power. I don't mind the new grill, but haven't seen it in person so no strong opinion. Wish they'd have the side mirrors attached to the cowl area instead of the door. That way when doors are off the mirrors still function.
Another great video! Honestly the wireless car play is the thing that drives me crazy the most about my Wrangler so I’m super happy to see that fixed. Also, love the safety enhancements with the side airbags. As always keep up the awesome work!
Wish they would take the approach Ford did with the Sasquatch package and allow folks to order even a base model with the XTREME off road package and 4.88s. Would make these way more accessible to more people and wouldn't cost someone wanting a modern and safe off road rig $60k+
I agree with windows AUTO up and down. Note that if installing Mopar grab handles, the holes must be drilled out for a ‘24 due to larger machine screws for airbag curtains in roll bar.
That little tray on the middle dash pad pops out. Jeep listened to owners telling them they'd like a way to mount phones, gps, etc. Pop out the tray and there is a spot to mount all those.
Wish I had known you were in town would have enjoyed a meet n greet. That ff d44 has me wanting to call the dealership! 😂 . Maybe I’ll slide one under the YJ in the future 😉
Question. I can order 488 gears with a new Rubicon. I'm going to put 37s or 38s. Do I really need it or are 456s good ? Will I lose power if I keep the 456s ?
Welcome to Michigan! I hope you enjoyed your time here. There's some amazing trails and views "Up North." I encourage you to take a trip and enjoy "Pure Michigan."
I just ordered a 24 Willys two door manual two days ago, who knows when it will come but I wish they would’ve kept the engine block heater option from the factory. Small thing I know but I would’ve liked to have had it. Wish I could’ve gotten manual windows and locks in the Willys package also. The rear locker now is standard and so is the led headlights, so that’s nice. So many options you will never please everyone unless you let them pick exactly what they want and not have the package options.
I wish they would add D rings to the front bumper so you can tow the jeep behind a motorhome. They offer an Rv wiring package, but nothing else. I will be purchasing a 2024 this year and the first thing I’m going to have to do is change out the front bumper so I can tow it.
The safety improvements and changes to the Willys package are great and kept me from buying a 23, however Jeeps prices are quickly becoming unrealistic.
Yes I want new improved lower prices and probably the inline 6 turbo.
Jeep pricing became unrealistic as soon as the JL came out. a 2 door sport base model JK in 2018 could be had for under $24,000. a 2 door sport base model JL in 2018 started over $30,000
Not just jeep. Look at all the car prices. Most new cars start at over 20k.

Give us an I6, manual, with great off road capabilities (suspension, tires, winch), and stay true to the roots.
Love the page and the content!
Not a fan of the integrated windshield antenna. It’s expensive enough replacing it every couple of years.
Fortunately it’s always covered by insurance in my country, so we can change it whenever it breaks.
The gorilla glass won't prevent chips from what I heard. Thing is still prone to issues.
Just makes for more expensive windshields now multiple times a year for some of us :|
@@salttrader4113I’ve had good luck with my Gorilla Glass. Knock on wood!

Great video Brad! I would like more comfortable seats (padding-wise) and as a taller driver, I would like for the front driver seat to go back further so I can get a more comfortable driving position. The one button that does all windows up/down would be a cool feature or the one-touch up/down on all 4 switches.
mirrors that stay in the vehicle when i pull the doors off and probably a more realistic pricing
Bronco definitely gave Jeep the necessary push to get busy with improvements. Good to see the competition. We all win.
Yes because jeep isn't smart enough to figure out these basic things on their own.
@@frankcastle9691well the 392 didnt show up till the bronco did so.....
@@Sabre912 That's not actually true they were talking in late 2019 of doing a hemi wrangler it's been the plan since JKs
They will when the next model comes out around the 2028 mark.
They really should have added a Dana60 rear end option. It may be a little overkill for the v6, but with a diesel or 392 or 37”s on the trail recon edition, I think a Dana60 rear end is warranted
Right On!
Dana 60 is for 450 Hp plus I would think with 42 in tires
The rear is the style and shape of a Dana 60...its 12 Bolt...
Love your videos. Cooled seats would be a really nice option, especially for those of us in the south.
I hear you! It gets hot in San Diego!
It's a Jeep not a Cadillac.
It wouldn't be weather proof. Probably why they don't have it.
The four finger window button pushing, did that yesterday! I love your all up or all down button as well.
A Rubicon "core" version... Base Model/Manual everything but including the axles, lockers, swaybar disconnect, etc. Would be nice to bring down the price of a Rubi by dropping some of the creature comforts but retaining the warrantied offroad capabilities.
Kind of like the Tradesman Power Wagon only for the Jeep.
What was the reason of doing s bit shorter grill?? Because of the winch ?? Or aerodinamics?? Or what??
The winch is the cause for this.
The full float axles are a huge deal. Will definitely make the drivetrain much more reliable 👍
That’s the first time I’ve heard of an actual functional reason for the grill change and now I love it.
Prices of cars these days, including this jeep Wrangler, is out of control.
Thanks Brad for the new look at the new jeep missed you at Redmond got some of your coffee though love it and a few other goodies safe travels
They're not going to make the 2 door any taller, because some dipshit will roll it on day one and sue them.
Sales of 2 door are way down, so it is tough to build something that won't sell
You don’t get it. We DO NOT want upgrades to the 2-Door! I want a basic 2-Door so I can built it up like I did with my 2 Door JK. After market parts are better, give you more options and cost less than factory packages with extra junk.
@@goldeneaglejk2678I think the engineers at Jeep can probably figure out bolt on parts just as well as those at Teraflex, Rock Krawler, etc. My biggest thing is I don't want to finance those things when buying the vehicle.
Great overview of the 24 👍🏻 Made me excited. Hopefully these changes are coming to the JT as well.
Thanks, Shaun! Fingers crossed about the JT! 🤞
Factory RCV shafts up front would be great, and an option for an Rock-Trac 4:1 transfer case on the 392 Rubicon, or an Atlas dual stick.
I’ve heard they do the awd t case on the 392 for torque because the rear axle can’t handle it. TRX is the same way
Add more cameras for an overhead view like many cars have currently.
On the dash you lift out the mats and there are screw holes there to mount a mounting system.
Does the winch come with the remote control?
im just surprised that its taken them this long to implement a full float rear hopefully it will be on the 24 gladiator as well
Relocate the locker switch, sway bar disconnect and aux switches to the top of dash or above mirror. Bonus points if you have separate switches for front and rear lockers😊
Very nice! Love the upgrades.
I'll bet that rear axel will be a favorite part from the wrecking yard. 😃
LOL! Maybe. Thanks for watching!
We’ll Brad Hurricane i6 engine is the most important they should’ve done. Pls see if they let u give out ‘24 JT release. Thanks for another great vid!
Hopefully phasing out the pentastar v6 to be replaced by the hurricane I6 turbo.
Hurricanes already having issues. You might wanna hold off on that excitement.
I've owned 2 Wranglers and 1 Gladiator.
2 with the V6 and 1 with the 4cyl turbo.
The 4cyl is by far a better engine. Way more torque off the line. They also just updated the turbo and intake redesign. So far, it's proven reliable
@@victorandrade7940 a turbo is never reliable, it will need replacing.
This new Jeep's added "creature comforts" remind me of my past 2015 Audi S4, a sedan
Toyota is going in a different direction. A 4 cylinder hybrid as the top Tacoma model. A pickup Prius.
U just have to order it from the factory maybe
Because stripped down models don’t have D 44’s upfront. Lot of people don’t want all the tech stuff
My buddy's wife just bought a 2024 Sahara and is having some issues when it comes to phone connectivity through it to the point where it will freeze up the entire infotainment system. Been frustrating for her. Hopefully an update comes soon to address it. Great honest video as always!
As a JT Mojave owner, I would like to see the window auto-down/up in the switches
I also would like to see transfercase Gearing options when ordering any JL/JT
And lastly, More room for Spare tires. JEEP Knows a large portion of customers are upgrading to 37” tires. Make that spot big enough for a 37” spare
I have a Mojave. Get the Clayton off-road rear track bar and you’ll easily fit a 37” tire. I have a 38” under there now.
I have a 2020 Cherokee trailhawk and before that a sahara wrangler. I’ve never spent so much time at service shop! I love the idea of Jeeps but their reliability issues are out of control. I hope they’re getting better with these new ones.
I love your honesty in all these videos Brad!
Love it!
The antenna in the windshield seems expensive for future replacements! Other than that seems pretty cool.
It would be awesome, but the expense of having to crash test them (and if it didn't do well) would be enough for them to not want to do that.
Hey Brad, I would like to see Jeep add an integrated roof rack on the hard top of the 2024. Something strong 💪 and OEM.
@@TrailRecon Got it thanks!
Can we all take a moment and thank the Ford Bronco for all the newest Jeep upgrades? A loss of market share is always a cause for some innovative features or in this case; basic amenities like power seats.
The bronco can’t pull its own weight

These changes were worth waiting for.
Definitely agree on the window controls and adding the Sky One Touch rear quarter windows to the hard top would be nice as well.
Hey Brad. Awesome experience your having..can't believe how far your channel has come in a few years. If you could let Jeep know that not everyone likes RED..they have the least choices in the most expensive model. If it was just the seats it would be ok I would just put seat covers..but the red stitching everywhere drives me nuts.
Right on. Also lets not forget the weak exterior color palette. Nothing for us in the SW, but all the drab greys and greens fro Detroit. SMH
Thank you, it's been a crazy ride! I agree, I think red should be an option, not standard.
This is amazing. Great job Brad. The family business you’ve built is amazing.
Jeep needs to hire him as their Ambassador!
I agree with auto up/down windows. They also need to add ventilated seats and a rear seat decline (at least a couple of inches). I would have upgraded my 2019 wrangler rubicon if they only added the ventilated seats!
You can just use aftermarket seats. It's not hard, and a lot less expensive.
Window switches? Two fingers are always enough on my 2D 😄
I agree on ventilated seats! The black leather gets so hot in the summer sun! And please 1 touch up on the windows
This by 1000 times! I have a JKUR and wish they had upgraded to ventilated seats, that alone would probably convince me to upgrade! Always the worst when you get out and your backside is full of sweat 😂😅
Is it just me or does the new grill remind you of the Jeep Liberty grill?
The manual transmission fix is to completely swap the clutch kit out to an aftermarket one. Centerforce has a solution if you want to look into it.
It would be great if jeep allowed any potential customer to order any model with any accessory a la cart.
Totally agree….Bronco figured it out. But I think there’s a Jeep/Mopar aftermarket kit….not sure, but still not the best solution.
You're complaining about buying a $30 side mirror? The majority of states don't even require side mirrors
So my CJ mirrors are connected to the body. And the doors come off. And use my mirrors with my doors off. On road or off.
"Mall crawlers?" Do you follow them around to see if they go off road?
@@XploreAz most don’t see anything more off-road than the edge of a soccer field or a gravel road, my point is they need to make a no frills more affordable version that’s way less trouble prone and complex than these computer controlled glitch ridden things they got now
@@oliverohnemus5791 my point is how do you know? That's a blanket statement because you might know someone who doesn't go off-road. You have no idea what other's do with their vehicles. Just because you see them at shopping centers doesn't mean they don't use them for their purpose.
@@XploreAzNo kidding. My Jeeps are usually spotless in suburbia, or wheeling on a trail. If you see it clean in a neighborhood, you will never know…
I hope the antenna that is integrated into the windshield works better than GMs did when they used that style.

Eh. Free windshield replacement, so I'm not bothered.
It’s 2023 you know that won’t happen
@Westcoastrocksduh understood but they also don’t have 4-low or lockers. I’m implying a stripped down capable Jeep
What if there was a rubicon jr - no push button sway bar disconnect, manual disconnect, 4-low, rear locker, no digital screen just a basic radio, no nav, on 32 or 33’s etc?
Or do what I did and get a tazer jl mini and rear locker can be used in 2wd as well.
Hey Brad,
Just googling “Jeep Wrangler JL Corrosion Issue” or “JL Corrosion Class Action Law Suit” will show how there is a aluminum body panel corrosion problem with the JLs.
If they were worried about the airflow blockage from the winch, they could have opened up the slots in the older taller grill.
Great video. The dash now has standard AMPS mounts which will make mounting equipment easier. 8:47
Price got out of hand dur to multiple factors. This is for all cars right now.
Hopefully Jeep will add ventilated seats. Since they added power seats. The one touch up and down on the power windows will be a nice touch also.
Not sure about the windshield antenna. Looks kinda weird
Montana uses gravel in the winter also.
You are a good presenter. You speak clearly and i understand all your statements.
I agree with windows AUTO up and down. Note that if installing Mopar grab handles, the holes must be drilled out for a ‘24 due to larger machine screws for airbag curtains in roll bar.
Welcome to Michigan!! Hope you enjoyed your time here.
That little tray on the middle dash pad pops out. Jeep listened to owners telling them they'd like a way to mount phones, gps, etc. Pop out the tray and there is a spot to mount all those.
Hi Brad, I found this to be very informative. Thank you so much for sharing this video.
Wish I had known you were in town would have enjoyed a meet n greet. That ff d44 has me wanting to call the dealership! 😂 . Maybe I’ll slide one under the YJ in the future 😉
Welcome to Michigan!! If you get a chance in metro Detroit is a decent off road park. Holly Oaks ORV park. Have fun.
I wish, but this is just a quick trip. Definitely need to come back.
Great info I haven't seen anywhere else. Just ordered a 2024 392 & I'll miss the seat Molly panels & my Bulletpoint device mounts.
Question.
I can order 488 gears with a new Rubicon.
I'm going to put 37s or 38s.
Do I really need it or are 456s good ?
Will I lose power if I keep the 456s ?
I think the little trays in the dash lift up and you can mount stuff under them.
Welcome to Michigan! I hope you enjoyed your time here. There's some amazing trails and views "Up North." I encourage you to take a trip and enjoy "Pure Michigan."
This trip is a quick one, but I would definitely like to come back and do some exploring!
