The sky one-touch has actually been an option for a few years now - I have it on my '21 JLU Rubicon (3.6L), and haven't had any issues with leaking in the 2.5 years I've had it now. Overall I love the flexibility - I leave it down until the first drops of rain start to hit me on the highway!
With all the changes, refinement and safety added all around, 2024 Wrangler 392will be remembered as the best and ultimate Jeep Wrangler ever built. Better tech, feels and looks way more sporty-rugged-luxury at the same time, better and stronger axle, better wheels, they look much sharper and brighter, Etc... The Seats are drop dead gorgeous with full red, they make the Wrangler stand out and live up to that "There's Only One" instead of plain boring cheap looking black. Of course that's not everyone's taste. The guages have more of a three dimensional look than the 2023 generic look of it. The dash look more proportioned and well design, especially with the 12.3 screen and the material all around the dash looks more refined and a bit luxury. The 2024 makes the 392 Wranglers look more upscale, expensive and superb. This is why I traded my 2023 to 2024 regardless how others feel about personal taste. It's just better in many ways.
Nice review. You don’t sound like you’re a fan of the 2024. I own one and I love it. I think all the changes, including the removal of the physical antennae were brilliant. The red seats are super cool and in line with many high end manufacturer’s special editions. And, now that Jeep has made official notice do a “Final Edition” for 24, the 24s are going to be hard to come by, expensive, and instant classics. Just my humble opinion. Great job Jeep!!!
Nice. I'm sure someone has probably mentioned it, but the exhaust baffles will still open when you floor the throttle with performance exhaust off, as well as when you first start it up.
392 is an absolute honor to own. On road, off road, even makes the wife smile. First jeep and the community has been amazing contrary to what I heard. I used to wheel a frontier and nobody ever said nothing. Now, almost every time we hit the trail we meet someone. We even found a few other RC Crawler fans. Fvcking blast! World might be fkd, but we're living in the best times ever for automotive enthusiasts.
I got my 2023 wrangler 392 brand new special built and I got it cheaper than one would expect it to be so I would have been stupid to pass it up. I wanted the one touch top but I was nervous and skeptical about leaks because the jeep liberty had this top and they were really bad and some stopped working and Jeep wouldn’t warranty them and it’s all because of the company they used to make them and now Jeep makes there own so I heard. But I love my jeeps and the 392 is one of those jeeps that I will own forever.
Beadlocks are overrated (and not highway legal in Arizona) and unless your going extreme rock crawling or sand duning - unnecessary in my opinion. Plus with bead locks you need onboard compressor to re air up.
When you close the exhaust and gun it, it will auto open the exhaust. Also when you first start it, it is in the open position, then closes if you had it in the closed position. At least that’s what my 2021 does. Also mine squeaks when you first start it, which I think is the catalytic converter warming up.
For the most part, this is almost identical to my Rubicon X 4xe (well, except for the 392 part, heh). I absolutely love it. People always are super impressed when they climb in. The 3.5" lift and 37" tires probably help with that. But I love the grill, I love the seats, and I love the new screen. Definitely a lot different from my 76 CJ-5. :)

Just got a ‘24 392 exactly like this one. White, winch, one touch top. I just got rid of my ‘21 392. My opinion: Seats seem like better leather, steering is way better, 12” screen is awesome. Overall it feels more dialed in than last model
I have seen that joke about the windshield everywhere as well, but I have had my 2022 for a few years now and never had an issue with rock chips. Only bugs that I constantly have to wash off of the windshield lol
I’m not sure about that red leather, I think black is much better looking. I like the retractable roof. Engine is awesome. However, I’ll stick with my 2020 Rubicon JT Launch Edition for now! Great review!
Great overview. I love my 22 392. I’m glad I didn’t “upgrade” to the 24. The only thing it has I wish I had is the power seat. I’m watching salvage yards for seat.
@@Casey250 I haven’t put many miles on a Mojave. Just test drives after building them. But I can say stock cloth seats are more comfortable. Even after putting aftermarket leather on a stock cloth seat it’s more comfortable then a stock leather seat.
Had a Sky-One Touch top on my last JLUR. It was super convenient for opening and closing easily on nice days. It never leaked. It was noisy on the highway. If you want to run a rack, you have to get creative like I did with higher sides to clear the pleats when opening or closing the top. I personally just like the regular hard top better.
They are called spats because men used to use them over their shoes. They were a splatter guard for their footware. In the old black and white gangster movies, they all wore spats.

Great upload, do you know if Jeep fixed the defrost in heavy snow and cold? I have a 2020 gladiator and in those conditions the defrost does not keep windshield defrosted on corners.
Really enjoyed the FULL review, which I rarely do. I currently drive a 3.6 JTR, but long time Jeep Wrangler Rubicon owner... looking heavily at the 392, but the cost............ that's the biggest hurdle. :/
Nice video! Thank you very much for spending more time discussing the technical changes of the 2024 model Wranglers, especially the 392 Wrangler Rubicon. I've got to admit that if I didn't live on the small Hawaiian Island of Molokai, where the maximum speed limit is 45 MPH, I'd personally want a 392 Gladiator Rubicon. That's the only Jeep Wrangler I'd currently think of using as a replacement for my 2012 JK Rubicon unlimited. I'm subscribing to your TH-cam channel. I like technical talk more than "styling" or various other "upgrades" so many folks do to their Jeeps. Keep up the great work and please don't freeze to death this winter! The solid tops plastic behind the head doesn't run like that from the 24s I have seen for head room. The tops on each side are removable so nothings there. Redline makes a gas strut system for the hood! For the no antenna, be a good spot for a ham radio or CB antenna shorty. But the bright side is nothing to catch and rip off in a car wash, less drag and wind noise. All my T tops have leaked after the 1s time removal. Then I took them out, cleaned the seals and siliconed them with the silicone spray and never a leak again. I guess on the red seats you could always get some black seat covers if it bugged a person. If the bolster bugs you getting in and out, get some auto drop steps. Then step up and over. For the cam not being wide enough for the back shot. Wonder how hard it would be to have a small back up cam shoot down from the roof top if u keep it on and don't remove it. Like campers have or trailers. Then have a small over head monitor inside. Get the big view. Or from the inside of the back lift gate glass above the tire. Maybe theres a cam change out option with a wider view that can be found somewhere. Screen glare, tint the windows is an option.
The grille is growing on me but my finger is twitching too order an all black one. My wife isn’t a fan of the red seats but I don’t even notice it while I drive mine. Covers are poking my brain to make her happy 😅
I love black. Got my new Gladiator Rubicon in black. Damn it’s hard to keep clean, and every single scratch and chip just seems to stick out so much more. Plus, from my recent experience driving a black BMW M3, it’s much hotter inside during the summer. Looks great when new and clean, but a negative in every other way imo.
I'm 6' foot tall and my seat is all way back in my 2dr JL. It's shocking to me they designed that bar that way possibly causing concussion on hard impact frontal or rear collisions. I don't know who thought that bar design was a good idea, but I think it's a lawsuit magnet waiting to happen.
Thanks for the review. I debated prior to buying my Gladiator Mojave whether I should get the 2023 or 2024. I pulled the trigger on the 2023 due to the huge discounts. I like the larger screen but agree they should have gone wide angle to take advantage of additional space. I don't like the antennae in the windshield; not sure what they were thinking and don't like the plastic on the side of the power seats. Most of all, I can't stand that red color for the leather seating. I love the fact that you can get a 392 in a Wrangler, just wish they would make it available in the Gladiator. That would have made a difference for me. Love the sound and would certainly enjoy the power. If you're buying a Jeep, gas mileage is not your main concern. Great video and greatly appreciate your channel.
Dude. Same. If they had put a 392 in the Gladiator Rubicon, it wouldn’t have been up for debate. No question whether I would have gotten one. I’m sure the eco diesel is cool, but I didn’t want to take a gamble. Too many people have had problems with them.
To be fair I understand the antenna in the windshield because it's the norm on nicer new vehicles. But it's usually the back window. I guess they decided more keep owners would complain if it was the back windshield
I got a '23 Rubicon (a Gladiator which I wanted) with a huge discount and I'm way happier. The windshield antenna is lame. Way more expensive to replace. Even with the slight upgrades, it's not worth the price IMO.
Totally thought you were pointing at a link to another video when you said this is the video you wannan watch ha-ha. I do like the look of the new grille!
❤ awesome review. Yes issue I have is height I'm 6'4 and do long trips this would be most definitely annoying . Some modes were needed but antenna stupid should been put on rear or left it alone. Great video Casey.
So really that grill wasn't introduced on the 2024. It was used on the 2023 (20th Rubicon Anniversary Edition), although I will completely concur it was in an extremely limited quantity. I got tons of questions about the grill of my 392 because it was completely different, and wasn't on the adjacent year Jeeps. But honestly, Love my 392, its legitimately the vehicle of my dream, and I'm fairly confident I will never part with it. As for the gas struts on the hood, Redline Tuning makes a set that was a very easy install. One small bracket cut and I took the hood prop off for good.
Hate the seat color, I can do without the electronic seat controls as well. I like the bigger screen but the dash overall feels cheap and not solid compared to previous years. I don't mind the grill, and FYI the grills are interchangable between 23 and older and the 24. Overall I'm glad I went with the 23 392.
Nice jeep. I know the Lucky owner. But maybe the only new jeep with bronze. But my 16 wrangler 75th year anniversary has all bronze accents. I like it it’s really cool
I just bought a 392 2 hours ago. I cannot see its performance matching 37”. It is too fast on the road and would take away from handling. It is perfect with 35’s.
I actually love the 2024’s despite the new look grill. I wish they would give you other options for the 392 seat color other than the red. The red goes good with some stuff but I feel like more freedom in seat choices would be nice especially if the color of your jeep does not go well with the red.
I’m getting 17mpg on my 4xe, I would much rather have that v8 . Also the speaker bar sucks, I cannot believe they would put it that far out. Do they think wrangler drivers are like 5’5? I may not be able to buy a newer one do to that, unless there will be a conversion kit. Love your videos!
The front camera on my Gladiator never gets dirty, but my rear camera is always filthy. I wish they had run the washer to the rear one instead of the front.
I have the Z automotive on mine. It’s no where near as good a resolution as the stock cameras. But it’s better than nothing. I use mine all the time cresting hills or just getting a better look without getting out of the Jeep.
I have the 2024 high altitude I'm coming from a 2020 Rubicon and I think they should have added the stitching detail and the same seats in the 392? makes no sense the camera situation cmon add bird eye view in that empty space
ICBC is going to lose their minds when they realize they have to buy factory glass every time there is a crack/chip claim. Does the 392 have the factory 2" lift to fit the 35's?
I think when you get the leather you only get the cup holders in the armrest where as in years past you got the ones on the floor and the ones in the arm rest. Only leather interiors get an arm rest in the rear seat with cup holders. Cloth seeds get cup holders on the floor by your feet and no fold down arm rest in the back seat.
My wife *insisted* on getting another jeep after she's had pinnacle touring vehicles for 15 years now. She was sick of the "soccer mom" cars. I was sad to see the denali yukon go, but this makes things a little more tolerable. We went to test drive the 3.6 and I don't understand how people daily those things. You're HAMMERING on that engine to keep up with traffic especially on a highway. 270lbs tq is pathetic. I honestly don't think we would have gotten another jeep if it weren't for the 392 since they did the ECU lockout to prevent boost on these engines now. I hope when Stellantis refactors these cars that they do a turbo inline 6 with 400ish lb/ft tq for $50-60k USD new and make this whole mess a moot point. They've never been any kind of good about taking customer feedback so I wouldn't bet on it, but it's nice to dream.
My understanding is that all 2024 and newer Jeeps will have that Adaptive Cruise control box standard. After driving my 2021 for a few years with that box, I have to say I really hate it. It's way oversized and blocks a lot of you view. Jeep needs to do something about that. As far as I'm concerned it's more of a hazard when you obstruct my view.
Ooph it's tough. The diesel is pretty awesome especially if the emissions falls off. The fuel economy and torque are excellent. The 392 is a lot more fun to boot around on the highway and around town.
@@Casey250 Thanks for the reply. I enjoy your channel and reviews. Tuning in from Colorado. Considering an upgrade of my 2018 JKUR or adding to the garage.
Only upgrade on the 24 really worth its salt is the rear axle. All the extra airbags are stupid, red seats look like shit, soundbar redesign is bad, grill makes it look cross eyed etc. Buying a 21-22 would be the way to go imo. The SOT gives alot more options except mounting a tent, they do come off as easy as the regular ones. No need for power seats or the big screen honestly but if you bought a 24 your going to justify your purchase lol.
The only things I dont like are that the new grill is shorter which makes it look like theres a body lift from the front. The infotainment in the gauges is still the old design and colors vs the new radio screen having a completely different ui and colors. You can tell that they just said F it. The steel front bumper also seems like its mounted further out? Being 6ft+ youre gonna smash your head on that bar too. IDK what Jeep was thinking when they did that. Maybe they hit their head?
Isn’t the bumper further out because of the winch? I have a new Gladiator Rubicon. It came with the standard plastic bumper, and I upgraded to the OEM steel bumper at the same time that I put in a Warn winch. Had it installed. I feel like my bumper does stick out a bit more
@@NothingButSilicone possible? I just assumed the steel bumper was always ready for a drop in wench that didn’t require much work. Could just be new the grill?
I'll take it one further. I didn't notice during shooting but I did during editing. The 2024 dash piece below the screen has grey stitching 🤣🤣 so you get red stitching up top. Grey down below. Orange gauges. Parts bin interior.
Steel bumper is winch capable. Needs a cradle added to it. The bumper doesn't stick out further if you order a winch or not. It may stick out a bit more then the steel but I've removed both and don't feel it does.
Buenos día. Ya just gotta stop brother , You’re making my mind expand with your west coast jeep experience, I live in the East and I have beast from the East that is my 2 door lifted on falcons with 37s and the little stick shifter and a little tear drop bon-docker and two kayaks strapped atop the gem I call Mister Burns. Mister Burns flys and leads the way but would elegantly love to even witness a 392 with a good pilot get down to work that rhythm I can imagine is remarkably empowering and impressive and all those features being used would be like a composer orchestrating (insert word here _______ ) . Mike drop
Not with out figureout a new place for the ECU and how to get the wiring there, and then a ton of other fab work. Not sure it can flow the massive CFM the Demonator needs either.
@@Casey250 yea I’m looking hard. I don’t mind it being stock. I rather it that way to begin with. And have no issues with giving it some Tlc. Just want something that can go of road for camping trips with my son. Mainly not into the hardcore off road stuff so stock should be more than enough.
I remember awhile back you mentioned you used to use the gate keeper spare tire carrier before you were fully involved with overlanding. Were you happy with it at the time? And does it still allow you to have a tail gate table ?

They do go back further. After this video I drove the Demonator and even with the seat back I wasn't anywhere near the cross bar. Like miles away.
Between rezvani tank & 392, which one you choose?
No floor cup holders in the back is a deal breaker for me😂 I’m also not in the market for a 24 so will on my 20 JT till the engine falls out
What happens if you put the windshield down as far as the sensor at the windshield?
It’s ok Casey, your a Jeep guy, that’s why your cool
Totally thought you were pointing at a link to another video when you said this is the video you wannan watch ha-ha. I do like the look of the new grille!
The red looks very good with the interior seats. Don’t be boring, be red
❤ awesome review.
Yes issue I have is height I'm 6'4 and do long trips this would be most definitely annoying . Some modes were needed but antenna stupid should been put on rear or left it alone. Great video Casey.
There's some aftermarket fixes for that
So really that grill wasn't introduced on the 2024.
I just brought 1 yesterday that has black seats on the 392
I heard that they released a black interior later after making this video.
You forgot the best update, the AMPS dashboard setup!
Sounds wonderful . I WANT ONE YES !
Does that windshield sticker impact the cruise control?
No to the red seats
Nice jeep. I know the Lucky owner. But maybe the only new jeep with bronze. But my 16 wrangler 75th year anniversary has all bronze accents. I like it it’s really cool
What about the peeling of the paint .😮 was that addressed
We got the 2024 Rubicon hybrid. It’s not a 392 but it’s freakin gorgeous.
If you are not using the radio and want to change the windshield, get the windshield without the antena......no big deal
Hey Casey, I’m thinking on putting a 460 in my jk, what do you think, is it good or not
The front camera on my Gladiator never gets dirty, but my rear camera is always filthy. I wish they had run the washer to the rear one instead of the front.
That’s something I really wish I had on mine. Everyone is telling me it isn’t possible to install the OEM front camera. Have to go third party.
I have the Z automotive on mine. It’s no where near as good a resolution as the stock cameras.
But it’s better than nothing. I use mine all the time cresting hills or just getting a better look without getting out of the Jeep.
Flip side is you can put get a variety of cameras on Amazon that work with the tazer mod and mount it in a different location then in the grill.
Ya no doubt! I'm always wiping mine off as I use it with turn signal assist.
They have black seats with red stitching too
I have the 2024 high altitude I'm coming from a 2020 Rubicon and I think they should have added the stitching detail and the same seats in the 392? makes no sense the camera situation cmon add bird eye view in that empty space
@casey250 The hood is steel, versus aluminum like the regular Wranglers. That adds way more weight than the hydro-glide system.
Well dang. Now ya know.
ICBC is going to lose their minds when they realize they have to buy factory glass every time there is a crack/chip claim.
Does the 392 have the factory 2" lift to fit the 35's?
UM they do have an Option of the Black Seats with bronze stitching for 2024 but it's going 2 cost you. They are Napa also. I like the Red more thou.
My 2024 JLUR XR 3.6L still has the cupholders in the back seat area….🤷🏻♂️

AEV is the way 37s, better bumpers, lighting, better tire carrier, better suspension, etc etc
For only 20 grand more
In the market for a 392. Consensus: 2023 leftover or new 2024 ?????
i love the 392 but would you buy a 4XE Jeep ?
No
Not until I see a version 2, I like the idea but lots of things still holding me back.
It's not bronze. It's gold. Jeep chose it because in their mind the 392 is the "Gold Standard"
You can always have epic Put one in if you want a 392
It sounds good, but I hate that little burp burp sound like almost a backfire afterwards. It sounds tacky when it happens like that.
What’s your favorite engine of all the engines for high altitude over landing and wheeling?
Ooph it's tough. The diesel is pretty awesome especially if the emissions falls off. The fuel economy and torque are excellent. The 392 is a lot more fun to boot around on the highway and around town.
@@Casey250 Thanks for the reply. I enjoy your channel and reviews. Tuning in from Colorado. Considering an upgrade of my 2018 JKUR or adding to the garage.
I once stopped behind a Land Rover with a bumper sticker that read: THIS IS NOT A F@CKING JEEP"
How low can you go?
I believe it will be called the 392 Final Edition
love it! I want the gladiator version.
Love to see the Video on the Steering wheel Mod casey
Love it. Can’t wait to replace my 2020.
Were I get that front license plate from brother
its OEM
@@Casey250 way too many colors going on lol. It’s gotta be the short grill making it look further out compared to your wrangler in the background.
I actually think the new 2024 grille looks pretty good...and more airflow is a bonus! love the video as always!
Mike drop
For much of the hate I can see this jeep prices going up 10 years down the line. This will be one of those sought after vehicles later on.
love the new grill...
Can this hood intake system be added to say your Demon or other hemi swaps?
Not with out figureout a new place for the ECU and how to get the wiring there, and then a ton of other fab work. Not sure it can flow the massive CFM the Demonator needs either.
@@Casey250 Jeep engineered this piece right. It uses pressure differential between water and air to direct water away from the engine. Cool stuff.
Why does the passenger grab bar have white stitching? Lol
I noticed this after. That's part up the updated 2024 pieces. Looks like they didn't make a special red one
Jeep looking out for us Short Kings!
Rather have black seats but I guess seat covers are cheap lol
Aren't these 24's now putting out 475hp...?
I really want to get a wrangler but don’t want to spend over 15k. Is that even possible? Wat yr and models you guys recommend? Pls help.
I bought my 10 year old JK with tons of miles for $15k Canadian. They are out there but they will be stock and need some TLC.
Excellent review of the Jeep Wrangler 392!😉👍🏻
Hey Casey, great video ✨👍🏽
