as a new player i like how you started with the basics because i didnt even understand harvest that much at first lol, also many guides are older where the info on monster harvest packs says different stuff
Harvest has been a very volatile mechanic, rebalanced, taken away, reintroduced. It is in a really good spot right now though.
Gameplay wise I think the mechanic is fine, Crop Rotation brings some more decision making to it as well. Anyway I would really love to see some powerful Harvest craft, cause right now most of them are a shadow of their former self!@@ibulleti7948

Ty for the in-depth explanation! I'm glad crop rotation isn't a must pick. Sure it would be fun if it was really good, but I wouldn't want to check out all crops and harvest them in the correct order for some marginal gains.
Yes Crop Rotation slows down gameplay a little bit. It's more interactive, so I find it fun, but farming without keystone is just smoother and more profitable, unless the lifeforce sextant of the lifeforce you are farming is stupidly high (which sometimes happens in standard when big crafters destroy the market)

If your build can run it you can use expedition on your map with the new big explosion to be still super fast. Expedition profits from the same modifiers as harvest: pack size and quant

@@Jinryougoa good solution can be removing ess and going with chance to get expedition. Ive been running ess, exp, beast farming and its almost 100% of the time i get an expedition.

i had 2 unique seeds in the same field. meaning both fields had a unique, and i could open both xD.

First question. Wouldnt this be great with expedition? How would that be implemented in the strategy? Also, can you make a video explaining the excel sheet? I am specifically looking for expected drops in terms of how much of the different life force that drops with the different setups?

I will make a full video about the MF Academy Strategy Guide spreadsheet. I didn't feel ready so far cause I always add things to it and I want to present it as a 100% finished product. Also copy for the MF Academy Strategy Guide has been restricted so far, because as a small content creator I was afraid my job to be abused. That said now that my channel is gaining more viewers I see that I could open the document so that you can make a copy. I'll keep you posted on this topic!
I used this harvest with expedition, if you're using the big bomb, you're better with just going essence instead of expedition. I had a lot of maps that i couldn't even take 1/5 of the rewards just because the boxes had modifiers that i couldn't fight against, of course if you're not using the big bomb it's not an issue but it consume a lot more time per map, in other hand, Essences don't have any downside, you just kill and kill and doesn't take any time to do, and is free profit. Also maybe i was doing something wrong but i didn't see much profit, like 1 or 2 divines with Tujen, no luck with Gwenen, and the crafting with Rog was 99% of the times pure garbage. The only thing that was decent profit was selling the books, stacked decks and a few raw chaos from Tujen, but let's be honest, you can get more chaos/divines just by selling essences and it doesn't take any extra steps. For me the best combination was strongbox, essence and harvest, with niko to help clearing everything faster and also some extra profit from buying chaotic resonators for azurite and selling those, it's free money.
The only thing that was even better in terms of currency per hour was boss rush, but that's only if you don't take the time you spend buying the compasses, maps, and invitations, and the amount of time that take to sell all the contracts if you combine it with heist, it was rewarding, but also a pain in the ass at least for me.
I collect uniques in SSF and that new keystone is amazing. I get probably 4 or 5 times as many bosses as usual.
Yes, in one run I got 2 unique bosses from a single Harvest Crop. Sadly I was not recording with OBS at that time.
@@Exosta Yea it's a good one. The Harvest and Expedition keystones are the best new ones I believe. I tried the torment one and it didn't even seem to work unfortunately.
Excellent video, really making me excited to try farm Harvest. I've been applying the atlas passive points, but have noticed that the point that says "Your Maps have no chance to contain the Sacred Grove" is ticked. Is that because you force it to happen with the Charged Compass? If I can't afford to do that yet, is there an alternative? Or is it just a case of hoping for the Sacred Grove to be in my maps?
If you want to use the duplicate lifeforce compass you MUST force harvest somehow. You can do that with the Map Device or the Sextant. Imo sextant is better.

I think I'm gonna go for this but swap for expedition, the new extreme archaeology makes it fast and i think expedition scales well aswell with pack size and item quantity
Yes, however remember that expedition has benefits a lot from scarabs, which we can't use. I prefer Essence because even if Expedition is more synergistic, Essence is just more profit/hour imo.

Thanks for the guide. I have one question, why do you remove chances to spawn Sacred Grove in the atlas tree? Are you supposed to only spawn it with sextants? As for me I just run maps and hope to get the grove, which happens quite often, since I blocked a lot of encounters I do not want. Thanks!
The problem is that the Lifeforce sextant can be pricey and so you lose some value if you go without forcing harvest!
This isn't a bad strategy for per map profits but it's very bad for profits per hour. Losing 1 map of sextants is -30 40 50 chaos whatever it is but it's upwards of 5 to 15 mins of no profits depending on run speeds
in the spreedsheet your harvest section video imbed leads to the harbinger video and I think the atlas passive tree link is old because its not using seventh gate unless that's suppose to be the one using the sextant

should also mention mausoleum and jungle valley map as their bosses don't count as bosses for the purposes for alters so you can straight ahead kill monsters without needing to rush the boss.
Sadly we don't have access to jungle valley during this league, so I didn't include reference to that Map, I personally don't like Mausoleum as a Map layout. As long as you go straight to Boss in Crimson Temple or other high density Maps you should not lose too much quant - max 1 altar imo

You can only use one Lifeforce sextant, only one can apply at once!
Why is the "no chance to contain sacred grove" point checked ? how else is it gonna spawn for harvest ?

Hello, nice guide, i have a question i want to go for the harvest keystone, so as sextant i should get sacred grove blue plant purple plant and the last one is up to me? So it get double duplicate ?
you cant have both blue and purple sextant. just use blue + sacred grove. The rest is pretty flexible.
I want to use this atlas, but also seventh gate too, so I can go for ambush and strongboxes from map device. any ideas for a modified version? ( I don't care about essences but I do like harvest and delve)
You can try Harvest + Expedition instead!

When you force Harvest with sextants the Blacked Thumb doesn't prevent Harvest from spawning

Also you turned off getting harvest in maps in the Atlas tree, I take it you activate the harvest map option instead?
The Extra Content Notables do not prevent a content from spawning if you force it with Sextant or Map Device, as we do with Harvest!
@@Exosta i thought that was the case when I saw you had it blocked in the tree. What I meant was if it’s possible to make the harvest sextant yourself without having to trade for it. I have never seen it drop as loot with the desired mods. Only as a bare sextant.

When you force any league mechanic via sextants or scarabs the extra content notables don't prevent the content from spawning.

You can either roll your maps with 5 modifiers or 6 modifiers. Minimum required is 5.

This is my (very) high budget Standard Build. If no Legacy stuff or other bias factors are involved, I test my strategies in Standard, since it's so much faster to do there. I always base my videos on League prices to evaluate profitability!
You can achieve similar enough results with a very high budget MF Build in league. That said Harvest is not affected by MF so nothing changes result-wise, build is irrelevant for the video.

You should always reduce the lifeforce color you don't want to farm. So if you farm yellow, reduce purple and blue; if you farm blue, reduce purple and yellow and so on

There are no actual plans to translate the guide, however this might change in the future if I find some collaborators willing to do the job.
Maousoleum also a good map, since altars cant give you "boss buffs" which is really important to force maximum qunat altars

I didnt make the math for the total, but briefly it should be the harvest profit hour + essence profti hour, check the mf academy strategy guide

I just have a 21:9 ultrawide screen
when i runing crimson temple jucied ( gilded sextants, 90+ pack size ) i got only few ( or even none at all ) eaters altars. how to fix that ? some mechanics are blocks eater eater mobs spawning in such small map like crimson?
Tbh Altar spawning is very RNG dependent. Sometimes you get 10, sometimes 3. It's random really. Don't think too much about it. Just make sure to reach the Boss at the start of the Map to optimize your chance to get blue altars with Quant.
with the yellow plant sextant do you recommend wandering path or regular crop rotation?
Wandering Path is always bad with Harvest. Never use it.
@@Exostai test it both 2 round with wandering path and regular harvest setup, in 1 wandering round i got around 13k wild lifeforce, it seems have a high roof. Regular setup is more consistently with 10k, though

Do I need to allocate heart of the Grove if I have crop rotation, or is it pretty much useless to allocate it?
It is still mandatory, since we get 10% chance for the not chosen crop to not wilt!
Correct me if I misunderstood, but i use, for exemple, 1 sextant for crop (any color) + 1 sextant to grant the sacred grove + the other 2 sextantes (faster method or slower method) + scarabs?

The only quest I really have, is... How profitable is Harvest with the absolute bear minimum (aka only the atlas tree (minus growing hoards)
No weird sextants, scarabs, 8+ mod crafts, etc.. Just alch 'n go? Is it profitable enough to obtain a Mirror of Kalandra within 4 months?
Tbh I have no idea, but I would not do that anyway. Sextants and gilded scarabs are mandatory in my opinion, you get so much value out of those. Also keep in mind that Lifeforce is more expensive in high bulk, and you will reach high bulk much later if you farm Harvest without investment.
Why do you have Black Thumb allocated on atlas passive? Wouldn't that prevent sacred grove from spawning?
No, if you force the mechanic black thumbs just acts as +2% extra content
Can this be done with a lower invest strat? With only increased magic pack size compasses + scarabs + own crafted maps? Do I still use the same atlas tree then? Or do I need to buy the sacred grove compasses to guarantee harvest in my maps?
You totally can, even though I think is kinda suboptimal.

will this strategy still work if im a new player with little currency/atlas points. i have around 200c to my name and just looking to even get my first div. it was either this or abyss with +2 projectiles so im not too sure
Yes, the strategy is extremely consistent with very little rng involved. If you have only 200c though start without sextants and go for cheaper scarabs, so you don't feel too concerned.

Im slightly confused, In your atlas strategy you dont have the Seventh Gate allocated, but you recommend forcing it with the map device? how is this possible
Maybe I did not explain this part well. If you want to play Essence it is highly desireble to use the Essence Map Device Crafting option, so you force Harvest with the sextant. Instead, if you are not interested in Essences or the Harvest sextant is simply too expensive go for Seventh Gate and use the Harvest crafting option.

I tried making an atlas strategy that incorporates the 7 gates, but it's awkward to allocate them based on where I want to be on the tree for harvest, is there a tree you recommend for this? I also ran 100 maps without the harvest sextant with all the harvest chance allocated and got harvest 78 times (blocking almost all mechanics). Do you think it could be more profitable to not force harvest with either? as they are roughly 45c each

Probably you must clear the map a bit more! Choose dense layout, I personally go for Bazaar which has one of the highest mob counts in the game@@nikolaosdrakos3413

We are forcing harvest with sextant or map device, so black thumb has no downsides!

Does it still work. For Crop Rotation, it doesnt consume both compasses, so blue and purple double drop and at least one. Why is that. It only consumes one. The other isnt

Yep nothing changed, same eater altar+all harvest - 100% chance to spawn variant by sextant. Do map, click altar, go harvest last. Repeat.
Shout out to best boy nico and his pact with energy. With this setup you can also Mining Byproducts and buy socet fossils.
Oddly no +expedition, but +essencess, so no minmax, just "casual" expensive 4sextants + rolling maps.
I didn't test the new keystone Expedition yet, that said I included Essences because I feel like they are a lot of profit per hour and because (personal bias) I am not a great Expedition lover. Overall the strategy is pretty flexibile, so you can adapt for a lot of content that is sensitive to pack size increase. Although it could slow gameplay down, Blood-filled Ritual Vessels might become pretty juicy.

As far as I remember, yes. But you should double check

Hey, just a question if you don't mind: yellow juice compasses are currently like twice as expensive as blue/purple juice ones, but blue and purple juice itself is worth only like 15% less on the market. Should I still go for yellow compasses with this in mind?
