If you've ever wondered how strong Master Luke Skywalker was after the Return of the Jedi, you only have to look at this fight between the Knights of Ren and Luke that took place when Kylo Ren, Ben Solo at the time, was just a padawan.

The closest we ever got to seeing how badass Luke became was in the Mandalorian when Luke faced the dark troopers.
He was more badass in Book of Boba Fett just talking to the little guy than he was in the sequel trilogy

That's correct. But now that I think about it, before the sequel trilogy, I don't think anybody needed to see Luke being a badass like they do now. It's all because of the TLJ backlash, and the fighting amongst fans and between the fans, Lucasfilm, and their corporate media connections. If it weren't for any of that, I doubt if most people who went to see TFA and enjoyed it would have looked back and said, "Man, TFA was shit."
It got to the point where all we wanted was a Rogue One hallway scene for Luke, at least for starters. We were surprised they gave it to us. But it's like TFA: we were surprised there was going to be an Ep VII, and that good will carried through long enough to mask the deeply obvious flaws with that movie until TLJ broke the dam. Now, I think just Luke showing up and being cool is masking the fact that he's not saying anything. He's not actually a character anymore, he's a shiny prop. And these shows with Boba and Mando just quickly devolve into cameos and references to what's coming next: another show, another surprise nod to the movies or the EU, or the next big event in the timeline.

God's Existence is made perfectly known and observable in the universe as demonstrated in His Handiwork in the intelligently designed manner that Creation was made, human consciences and consciousness historical and archaeological evidence of God's Word being valid history, fulfillment of Bible Prophecies God in His Holiness and Righteousness could give us what we deserve in Hell for our since but He's merciful to give us free will to choose to accept or reject His gift of salvation by grace through faith in His Son Jesus. The issue with the trilogy is it's made by a none starwars fan who doesn't know anything about it. I mean ffs she said during a interview that it's hard fighting a sequel because there isn't enough material to go off of.

Forgetting Luke for one minute, here's why the new trilogy is shit. First, The Force Awakens was just a remake of Episode 4. Lone person on desert planet wanting something more from life, check. Missing droid with vital information, check. Planet-sized killing weapon, check. Bar full of alien weirdoes because apparently that's the only place they hang out, check. Then there's Episode 8, which is even worse. Here’s why it sucks. However you feel about the characters there are two major plot holes that show the writing is terrible. First, in The Force Awakens the resistance destroys the First Order’s greatest weapon, and its largest base. They completely annihalate them. But yet someone in the next movie the tables are turned, and the resistance is the rag tag fugitive fleet being chased by the First Order a la Battlestar Galactica.
Then there’s Rey. Luke Skywalker is one of the greatest Jedis of all time in that he defeated Darth Vader, and through his resistance, and willingness to help his father, defeated the Emperor. This great Jedi had only a few lessons from Obi-Wan, and after that was barely able to use the force to get his lightsaber out of a pile of snow on Hoth. He had even more lessons from Yoda, and then had to fully concentrate slowly with his eyes shut to lift up C3PO in Return of the Jedi.
But Rey, who was never had a single minute of training from any Jedi, not one minute, is somehow capable of using the force, able to fight Kylo to a draw, resist his mental probing, control stormtroopers with a Jedi mind trick, then later is as great as fighter as a fully trained Jedi/Sith who himself was trained by Luke. She is literally able to move mountains with no training when Luke, who had extensive one on one training with Yoda could barely move a few small rocks, and a droid.
That is why Last Jedi was a joke.

Awesome work, loved this issue and to see events during Ben’s training. Looks like we will eventually see this in live action now that we see Luke’s temple in book of boba and Dave filonie saying that these shows will lead up to the origins of the First order and the fall of Ben solo.

While I don't think it was his "career-best" performance, at least Hamill was actually there and acting with his face and voice in the new trilogy. Here it's a technically impressive deepfake with an AI that produces a flat, robotic, inhuman voice. I don't think it's what we should be excited for, given what it implies for acting in general and how unsustainable it probably is, if you were to make an entire show with that. It would've been better to just have recast Luke and make him a real flesh-and-blood character.

Key word Sith or Jedi, who both were low on numbers in this era. Sure the Super Droids were chumps to Jedi, but not to anyone else, clones feared them, but the knights of Ren were criminally under used so your points stands.

There Darksiders with no real teacher or direction, fumbling around making there little "Cult" that is nothing compared to the Sith. But..... it would be nice to see Competent Dark siders that aren't Sith, that follow a different path and Order.
Exactly even Chirrut Imwe who's Donnie Yen's blind Jedi like character from Rogue One could've handled them easily if Ben Solo could.

I kind of let it go when I went to college, and now that I'm in the toddler years of being a dad, I returned to it all. I saw a lot of youtubers having problems with fan art, because (rightfully so I guess) some artists don't like it being used. For stuff like planet of twilight (re-reading it right now... such an awesome story) and the early Han Solo trilogy there's so little to go off of. I guess I could just use movie screenshots of the characters while I talk about them.

It shows the immediate aftermath of Ben Solo's destruction of the Jedi Temple and how he became leader of the Knights of Ren... with this flashback to a mission with Master Luke in issue #2

Watch the Last Duel, especially the final fith scene if you're old enough. It can be a tough movie to get through, due to the main story, but the highlights are for sure the evironment, and the acting... especially Adam Driver

Not the quitting and cowardly shell of himself that DISNEY'S HYPOCRISY MADE IN RUINING HIM. I despise the fact that Disney gave the name Ben to a Solo and not Skywalker as it was in the books. Han and Leia had no discernible connection to Obi-Wan. At least Luke had a connection to Obi-Wan as a force ghost which made more sense for him to honour Obi-Wan by naming his son Ben.

You refer to Luke as an ageing man, but all men are ageing, all their lives even before they become men, it is when you cease ageing that you have problems. If this was 15 years on from Yavin, Luke would be what, 33/34? That is far from old.
I got caught up in the storytelling, I guess. For me, New Jedi Order Luke feel like an old man. Maybe because I read the stories of NJO Luke when I was in middle school, back in the early 2000's. @@UnderratedMomentsfromStarWars New Jedi Order was about 25-28 years on from Yavin, Luke would have been in his early 40s, again not that old (coming from someone currently in his early 40s, who would have been early to mid 20s when reading that stuff), the end of the Legends Luke stuff, with the Fate of the Jedi series I think Luke would have been getting old by that time, with in his Luke probably in his early 60s, but ask me in 20 years and I'd probably still say something to the effect of "that's not old".

Yeah, it would have been interesting if things turned out differently. I went back and watched it recently, and realized it kind of just feels like a Tom Cruise action move... but I think I prefer it to be a Ridley Scott style historical epic
