What’s the purpose of this aside from cloning the real one for the looks first milsim or whatever. Just curious to why so many seemed to have bought into these Chinese clones that are huge in comparison to some other radio to accomplish the same thing with less size an weight
I mean yeah that's pretty much it, but they more robust than Beofang Radios in alot of ways for alot of reasons, they also have been Accessories to go with them, and are more user friendly to channel and program. I like them alot better than the competition.
Thanks for the video. On your version of the TCA how do you set offsets for receivers? The old version had an S-D option in the menu. Thanks for any help
You have to message the seller, depending in the radio you have, with the TCA I was able to download the software and set up everything in the software, then I was able to plug in the radio and it just downloaded all of the Information I had preset on the computer onto the radio
Is there a copy of the manual anyplace online? I would like to get the TCA PRC152, but I hate to drop that much money on something I can't find more information about.
@@bhtshq3033so here’s my question. Are the Harris versions legal to own and use personally. Got a big farm and looking for a good radio. Do I need licensing for it? New to this game.
Great vid, Landscape next time
Does someone make an op manual that is easier to understand than the one which obviously came from a primitive Chinese-to-English translator?
Thank you Sir, this video was very helpful!

I am unsure on that yet, but I will be working on that in the near future and will release another video when I'm done doing that.
Can you do single channel PT ??
Did you ever find that software? I have been looking for years?

The solution to the speaker issue you mention might be in the Menu.
We had a look and were able to get it sorted, long story short yes it was in the menu
@@bhtshq3033 can you share the solution with us? i have the same problem, thanks
@crashhhblast I played around with the menu, turned off the PTT function and turned on the speaker, then did the opposite, and it worked just fine.
Where did you get programming cable and soft ware?
@user-yw4hr6kn2p ill have to find the ad again.
@@bhtshq3033 thank you, and having problems trying to figure this out lol.
where we can buy that?
aliexpress
does the manual say if it has a homodyne or superheterodyne receiver?
I am not that tech savvy my, guy I have no idea how to tell at this point.

@@TheAnnoDomini there is a manual that comes with it, but im not tech savvy enough to decipher all of what is in there
Almost definitely not superhet
Can this be used for just like normal talking and can it talk to baofengs?
Yes it can, some of the guys I roll with only have the Baofengs and we talk to them and them to us just fine

@@marshalldavidson2639 they are legal to own, encryption is a different story, but these are not full encryption.
Can connect other normal walkie talkie?
I would say atleast another UHF/VHF, but unless you can program to match the frequency I would say no.
So will this not work the a real 6pin ptt?
No there are slight differences between this and milspec. They may have updated them to marry now, but im not really sure
The newer modes do work with MilSpec - I have one and it works fine 👍
@@bhtshq3033not sure what your talking about, ive used it with peltor ptt, Atlantic signal, and a Invisio x50. Worked with all of them.
@Chief-ek1vl if you look it was clarified last week.
I have a 23 TCA 152A and it’s not typical 6pin on mine
Do you use these on HAM frequencies or can you program GMRS and FRS on it?
Looks like they are wide open so you can program all the frequencies, including repeater offsets.
You need a license to operate this. It is not an FRS or GMRS radio, despite being able to use those frequencies.
I don’t want to hear anybody else talk about illegally using these radios on frs/gmrs again 🤨
Can it operate on satellite channels?
