We've come along way from PRC-68's and 126's. 🤔 Very informative and thanks for taking the time to make this video. 🥃🍻🪂😁👍🏻🏴☠️🇺🇸
Good stuff man!
If Stokermatic likes it, that gives it 50 brownie points for me.
OUTSTANDING!!!!
Good day! outstanding video, i have a quick question for you that i would be really greatful if you can help me out. Mine's been program on a computer and i am totaly unable to to zero it. all key pad those is changing the pre programm freq enter in it. Thank you in advance
My man!
Awesome video.
I sent it to your messenger too bud. I'll be doing more videos in the next few weeks
👍👍
Very informative
Shame it can’t be programmed with software. Have you tried the AR152 from baofeng?
What is the best frequency to use between two of these radios. Thanks
Do you have a link for that antenna that you recommend?
I will be doing a separate video on antennas and accessories for the radio. It's in the works!
So, would you choose this over something like the yeasu vx6r?
No absolutely not. It's a neat concept for milsim but there are far better options out there for comms. This radio can be a difficult one to use and to program.
@@2alphasolutions and the price point is insane . Can get a DMR radio for this price
@alekviselli yes absolutely. A couple of them. DMR and encryption both.
PT stands for plain text?
can it do these frequencies?
VHF frequency band (receiving/transmitting): 136-174MHZ
UHF frequency band (receiving/transmitting): 400-480MHZ
(Receiving/Transmitting): 220-259MHz
(Receiving/Transmitting): 330-370MHz
Yes
25:25 What's the point of Digital CTCSS receive/transmit options if this radio doesn't even do digital at all?
The digital coded squelch works with or on the analog radios. As long as both have the digital coded squelch feature. It's not specific to digital mode of operation such as DMR or P25.
@@2alphasolutionsGotcha, are you able to name the channels, like the repeater station name? Or is it just nothing?
Yes you can. I will be making a video on that this weekend. Hopefully, I will have it out by sunday night.
4:09, now is AM receive selectable for this TRI model? For the aviation band? Or is it simply just FM mode? If it is not selectable and its still FM mode it's rather useless ...
AM is only for receive of the aircraft band and can't be used with any other frequency. Everything else is FM only.
What is the model number of this unit?
AN/PRC-152(U/V/H) R/T
Thank you very much. I was having trouble finding this in the sea of clones.
They are really all clones. I got the one I have in 2022.
It's a Boofwang, cosplaying as a military radio. Why on earth would anyone waste their money on this?
Uh oh. Somebody didn't watch the video but had an opinion anyway.
