Very pleasant scenery. Nice , dry stoney area to camp by the water. Being in a valley not too much wind. Yes the cloud looked menacing over the high areas.
Hi Stripey 👋. Looks like the right decision not to camp on the peak. You had a beautiful location by the water. The dinner you made looked interesting with all the simple ingredients, thanks for sharing. I’m thinking to maybe get an air fryer as I think they can dehydrate as well as cook of course, so two uses. ATB Serk
Hi Serk 👋, yeah I think as well - thanks. Oh I didn’t know that air fryer could do this as well, two functions are definitely better than just one! Thanks a lot Stripey
Wasn't sure at the time, but glad that I listened to my guts on this one 👍. Yeah the views are just phenomenal, looking forward to go back... Thanks for watching, ATB Stripey
Ey up Stripey. Brilliant video as always mate, but what’s this no pasta bolognaise!!! 🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for sharing your adventure mate. All the best 😀⛰🥾🏴
Thanks a lot buddy! Yeah I thought I would show that the dehydrator can also do different thinks apart of pasta bolognaise…was really good but in relation to the effort I assume I will eat the other prepped chicken, jalapeño stuffing and that’s it 😂
BREAKFAST IN BED Stripey :) fantastic. Definitely the right decision to camp lower. Some info, if it was really bad weather you cud hike back down to ballacuish and pop into the Isles of glencoe hotel and use the warm pool and hot sauna all for 5 pounds! You don't need to be a resident. And then pitch your tent 40 secs walk from hotel to a small 'harbour' area opposite with a lovely view :) ... M
Hi Stripey, We stayed up there for a week at new year 2023 . Tried out my Christmas present from my better half a pair of Scarpa manta tec on the horseshoe.😎We went to the Duror bothy on New Year’s Day after seeing you visit.really enjoyed the area and also the cycling route 78. Brilliant . See you out there one day .Cheers James
Really enjoyed that Stripey😍..You defo made the right decision there..Clag and wind on the hill..What’s the point camping in that..Looks a good peak for the future..You found a great wee spot and the food looked brilliant. Cheers Robert
I camped at the bealach between Fraochaidh and Sgorr a' Choise in July. It was a lumpy spot with no flat ground but at least the heather was quite comfortable! I was lucky to get the views - Fraochaidh is a brilliant hill and often overlooked. But the ground between that spot and the River Laroch is terrible! I nearly disappeared into several holes.
Slowly I am getting jealous 😎👍. Yeah pretty wet ground up from the river, I also lost once the path up…not as obvious as it looks like coming up. I will definitely go back to both of them, really like the setting and the views are certainly worth it! Thanks a lot for sharing, ATB Stripey
great wee hike, probably wise not to push on, i've noticed when i get tired i make some poor decisions, so if tired and dodgy are in the same sentence, i always play safe.
Nice looking food . Lovely tent😊. Im sure you've said before but we're really interested to know your entire cook system and where we can buy its component parts? Thank you for your films😊🫵👍🏼👍🏼
Yes. It is much quicker to put up and has a better pack size as it has no stud’s integrated. I do love the scarp but for most of my trips the duomid is just superior in my eyes.
Bidean nam Bian (mountain range), left to right: Stob Coire nam Beith, stob Coire Nan Lochan, Bidean nam Bian, Stob Coire Sgreamach. Some beautiful scramble routes up there, have a dedicated playlist for scrambles) Hope I wrote them all right 😉👍 ATB Stripey

Wow to the views, and 'smart' to the decision to climb down just a little bit further. The dinner looked good! Thank you for sharing.

@@StripeyHatGuy It's definitely worth going back - such a beautiful and isolated area. Hope you get clear weather next time.
Truly looked my perfect camp spot... I need to figure out where you was that night... Perfect.
I am sure you figured that already out mate! 😉👍
@@StripeyHatGuy I'll have to watch again Stripey dude. Looked nice.

Do you prefer your Duomid to your scarp?
Yes. It is much quicker to put up and has a better pack size as it has no stud’s integrated. I do love the scarp but for most of my trips the duomid is just superior in my eyes.
What do you use to navigate? Map or gps?
I use an offline map on my watch and phone, both have gps. If I would do a multi day trip in an unfamiliar area I would take a paper map.
Thanks Stripey . I love your style and choices . Learning so much
You where not that far from the Duror Bothy.
What is the mountain in the top right of the screen at 5:03 ?

@@StripeyHatGuy Many thanks Stripey. It looks like a massively intimidating rock face from this angle and I'd not seen this before.
