Great minds think alike. This was so needed. What I've seen is that just because a person has dealt with alcoholism in themselves doesn't mean they know how to deal with alcoholism in their family and friends. Please have family and friends of addicts who have success in dealing with life with active and arrested addiction on. My dear Bill passed 8/13/20 with 39 years of sobriety to his credit. In his drinking years I could see what it was doing to him, I was blind about what it was doing to me. We get as sick or sicker than the addict. Thanks for your service Derrick.
