How to Replace Solera Power Awning Motor on an RV V1

This video shows how to perform a power awning motor replacement on a Solera RV power awning by Lippert. It walks through the entire removal and installation process, including extending the awning arms out for clearance, securing the arms for safety while working, supporting the awning roll tube, removing the necessary hardware to access the motor, removing the power cable and roll assembly connection and removing the head assembly entirely.
Next, the head assembly must be opened to access the awning motor. Remove the bolts holding the motor in place, and the motor will come free.
Then, the replacement power awning motor can be installed, and the head assembly can be reassembled. The video also walks through how to reassemble all of the components, including the awning arms and roller tube. Remember to save all hardware as you disassemble the awning components. They will be reinstalled.
