*I lost 120 pounds in 2018 on a Carnivore Diet, I maintained that in 2019. In 2020 I struggled with some weight gain and then lost it again in 2021. For the last few years I have been maintaining a healthy weight. In December 2022 I had skin removal surgery (tummy tuck). This channel just documents all of that journey and how our family lives normal lives and eats a meat based diet.

I'm eating two meals now kinda new to carnivores coming from a few years, ketovore, no issues with fat adapted. However, I'm noticed my appetite increased. Like you now eat twice daily. Made all the difference for me. I'm able to adjust my eating and learning so much.
Your meals always make me salivate!!! Btw, surgery or no surgery, you are gorgeous! Absolutely gorgeous. ❤
I agree! Laura is stunning and really enjoy her content❣️❣️🥰
Had the arm surgery and a tummy tuck after weight loss. The arm surgery was "harder" than the tummy tuck. More bruising and very limited movement. I felt like I recovered faster from the tummy tuck. However, with all that said, I'm very happy with both surgeries.
I have lost a lot of weight (many times) and intestinal surgeries due to burst intestine). I had a tummy tuck and breast restructure and came home the same day! It was great for my morale. I would love to get my inner tights done. I believe everyone has the right to make themselves feel better by cosmetic surgery. 😊
Like the average person can afford that...
@ I am an average person. I think everyone has their own priorities. It is expensive but my tummy tuck was 19 years ago and I’m just starting to think of getting a second surgery after saving money.
Laura, you are beautiful and your skin is absolutely glowing!
Thank you for your openness about your surgery. This cannot be easy to share such intimate details but so very, very appreciated.
Another great video!! I am on month 13 of carnivore and am down 140 pounds! Your videos have been a huge help!! Thank you
Wow Congratulations!!!
Do you use condiments?
Wow! Congratulations
Our son LOVED that part of his Grandma's arms. He thought they were so soft. He called them her "leftovers". Lol. I have the same from weight loss, but I would choose to put that 10k each in an investment for my kids so that they could use it for a down payment on a house in the future. I care more about their future than my looks and I've already had enough health related surgeries and recoveries to last me the rest of my life!
Can not even imagine spending that kind of money!!
Do you see that amazing kitchen in the background? She clearly has enough money to take care of herself AND her kids. But since you need it, *here* is a pat on the back and an award for being an amazing and superior human
I had an arm lift after my weight loss. I'm sooooo glad I did it. No matter how hard I worked out and did strength training, my arm skin waved bigger than my hand when I would wave to people, lol😂. It was hard recovering from both arms done at the same time. I felt like a T-Rex for weeks😂.
I've gone from nearly 300 lbs down to 120 lbs and kept it off for nearly 9 years now. I'm only 5'3". I WISH I could get the excess skin removed from my lower tummy, arms, and thighs.. I've fasted so much that my excess skin is paper thin now, no more marble feeling. However, the skin is still there. The excess skin pulls on my body, and my belly button has to stay extra dry during workouts to keep infections away.
Congratulations on such a tremendous weight loss and being able to keep it off for 9 years. That is amazing 👏.
Hope you are able to save up for the skin removal surgery.
Interesting you mention the marbles. I noticed that on my arms since I've lost weight. I wondered what that was.
Today I finished my 1 month on the carnivore eating plan. I love it!!!! My husband too. 🎉 so far I’m able to work a full day without high glucose napping each day. That is very recent and I’m so happy. I lost some weight and I’m walking daily so my core is strengthening. I’m looking forward to more successes soon. Reversing a sick metabolism is possible. I’ve studied and learned so much the last month. Thank you everyone.
Not me thinking Miss Laura had safety goggles on while cutting up her pork belly😂❤❤
Ditto😂😂
I thought the same thing.
Me too! 😂 What were those glitter strips?
I have those under eye jelly things. They feel great and help with dark circles
Awesome video Laura! I lost 73 lbs on Keto/Carnivore. I really want your tummy surgery but have been chicken!! I have loose skin around my middle, back & arms that bother me so much. You are so brave and I feel you should just go for it! Your helping me get braver and just go for it too!❤
I would never get it
I would just be happy either way what I was after decades of obesity
When skin hangs from where fat used to be it gets in the way and just hangs. So getting rid of it would be ideal if it’s to where you still have to lift it up to wash under it….
Wow! You look great! I understand about the skin too. You gotta do what’s right for you!
Im glade i watched this before starting my lifestyle change. Im going straight to the gym and start lifting weights. Im just hoping it helps with the excess skin in some way, I hope because 25k is crazy work.
Weight training doesn't help much at all with excess skin after big weight loss
Thanks for showing your smash burger method and meals for the day. I too am increasing fat. It makes me feel better and is removing some of the 10-12 lb I need to lose. We have a Blackstone also and I would really like to learn how to cook lots of things on it this year. Good luck with your surgery decisions. It sounds like you have a doctor that you’re very comfortable with.
Thank you for sharing your doctor's visit.
Makes me think about ALL the excess skin.
Love cooking my pork belly in the airfryer ❤
Thanks for your channel I lost 16 lbs my 1st week I’m sure some water weight and I have a lot of weight to lose. Very easy to do this diet. I know every week won’t be like that but I feel better already. Thanks again
Your last meal looks sooo good! 😃
That’s pretty cool that your doctor is Rob Lowe.
She prob doesn’t know the actor lol
She’s young
❤ ROB LOWE is a plastic surgeon now? Nice! 😂
He was a real looker for sure! 😛😂
@DelunaticDeb For sure for sure
Dang girl your abs look so good!!
LOVE pork belly! I also get mine from Costco, and have always cut it in smaller cubes. I do season with salt, garlic powder, and dried oregano, cooking till crisp in my air fryer. I spoon some of the fat back over the pork, and save the rest in a jar to make fried eggs! I made some for a potluck at work and they all raved about it too.
Works with beef trimmings too
@@YeshuaKingMessiah I will try that! I have a hard time incorporating beef into my diet.
Runny egg yolks gag me. I am 3 days in and eggs are already old! I can eat hard fried and that's about it. Do you do boiled eggs for a snack?
@@SuLolly2 I don't like runny yolks either, but otherwise love eggs any way! When I'm on shift, I prep hard boiled eggs. I also love making egg salad and used to eat egg chaffle sandwiches quite a bit (I'm just lazy now lol). I'm a person who can eat the same things over and over for a long time and not get sick of it. But also, Laura's tip of having at least 2 different items you enjoy at your meal makes carnivore so much more delicious.
My tip is to treat eggs like a condiment (so just on occasion and cooked the way you prefer), and stick with what you do enjoy eating the bulk of the time. You won't be able to sustain this way if you're dreading meals! All the best to you--it's doable, you just have to tweak it to fit your taste/lifestyle.
@SuLolly2 I like scrambled eggs, and omelette, and cheesy egg muffins, if you can do dairy, are great hot or cold
If you think about it, the snack obsession we have in this country is ABSURD
I’ve had the arm surgery. It is a very difficult recovery. Not to scare you but just trying to help you know what to expect. It was at least 2 months of limited mobility and pretty intense pain.
Yeah... mine popped open because i didn't stop moving and i have major inflammation which turned into infection and was a disaster... i have major scars although over the years it's better than it was and I've also done thigh lift, tummy tuck, etc and long before that a breast reduction.. i don't regret any of them though,... so with all the scars and complications, i still don't regret it. 👍🏻
Good luck with everything!
Now I need some pork belly. I got an air fryer for Christmas. WOOT!!
Beef fat trimming works too
@@YeshuaKingMessiah I have done that in a skillet. I do prefer beef. I just need to do both in the air fryer and to a taste test. HAHA
Hang in there Laura! Hard decisions.
I think you look beautiful the way you are. Love your channel ❤️
Thank you for sharing this information.❤
I ordered from Thrive all the time when I was vegan, so I always think of them as vegan. Thanks for this!
They have lots of options for every type of diet, even Carnivore which shocked me at first!
Thanks for taking us in that surgery visit, very helpful and interesting.
I could use the arms done and I do wear tank tops! I don’t care anymore at 70! In SC I’d rather be comfy
Oh heck no
It’s becuz I worked so hard getting the fat gone!
Yay me! U go, me!!
Highly recommend reading Dr Benjamin Bikman‘s research on fat cells / liposuction. He mentioned removal / messing with fat cells on a particular part of the body can disrupt the future fat storage location. For example, removal on the tummy may move them to the arms. Then the arms to the face.
The Diary of a CEO has an episode with Dr. Bikman “The Insulin & Glucose Doctor: This Will Strip Your Fat Faster Than Anything!”
Thanks again for a wonderful episode!
I thought I was the only mom who thought the sports snacks and dinners is ridiculous nowadays!
Ridiculous! By the varsity years it can be team building. But it is also a good opportunity for a varsity athlete to woek on communication skills and explain to the coach they are prioritizing a way of eating and may not be always able to participate in team dinners.
As far as snacks go, a simple no thanks is all that is needed.
Dvm
Wow! Crazy price. So glad I went to Mexico for my tummy tuck over 10yrs ago ……they did the best job. It was only $500 for anesthesia. My total was $4,500 and additional 800 for hotel for a week. Good luck with yours.
I live in Arizona too!! Love your content!
My hubby makes our "bacon" out of Costco's pork belly. LOVE IT! Also, tell me more about your eye strips?! I get lots of under eye bags.
Bags under the eyes are from weak kidneys. My acupuncturist got rid of mine.
@HulaShack1 don't have an acupuncturist
I had a tummy tuck when I was 41 , my first facelift at 48, my second facelift just before my 60th birthday, I’m going to be 68 this summer, and yes contemplating my third facelift probably around 70, I’ve had phenomenal doctors and I’m certainly not ashamed of the surgeries I’ve had but nobody can tell I’ve had anything done ( who didn’t know me until after my surgeries) because all of mine have been very natural looking, Obviously I’m pro cosmetic surgery when it’s a good surgeon 😊, best wishes you won’t be sorry 😊
Is pork belly the cut that you make bacon from? As for your surgery, if you can afford to do it, do it. It's hard to lose weight and then maintain the weight loss so reward yourself with something that is good for you. Good luck😊
As a 68 year old post menopausal woman without estrogen since age 47, I lost 130 lbs, 3 years ago while simultaneously doing serious, consistent weight training. Training to failure, along with creatine supplements. Now, my arms , shoulders and back are my best features. Sorry you find yourself in the position that surgery is your only option.
Wow we are in an ice storm right now, I am so jealous of your weather. Great video.
I moved from cold and snow to AZ and it's heaven all winter. It does get very hot in the summer, but we all have pools! Feel like I'm always on vacation.
Good Luck, you girl!
You look amazing Laura. Don’t see a need for those surgeries. A lot of money and healing. I avoid surgeries at ALL cost. ❤❤
Loved watching your sx series. Thanks for taking us along and sharing info.
😊❤the surgery will be amazing
I live in AZ and used Josh Olson for my skin removal. 360 body lift, back fat lipo, things lipo and the arms. My arms are my favorite result I think! Love it, and the scar fades nicely.
*thigh
Do both surgeries together is my recommendation. The back won’t be near as tender as your arms and not as bad as muscle repair. Arms will be tender for a good 6-8 weeks, I made myself some arm sleeve “upper arm cuffs” by cutting the compression garment they give me. I wore that for about two months and it was a game changer cause your arms will be touched, bumped, and laid on no matter what. The cuffs made that all soooo much better and felt great too.
awesome 👏🏼👏🏼 thank you
Love your videos! I'm in AZ too! Any chance of doing a grill tour?!
th-cam.com/video/mMr69BLFgdg/w-d-xo.html
@LauraSpath Yes! Thank you so much!
What made you decide that you needed to eat more fat?
Genuinely curious if you have talked with Kelly Hogan - she says she's never had surgeries...I wonder if there is some kind of piece missing or nutrient missing in that excess skin? I am not sure I understand how you say it will never go away? What I mean is, can you further explain the types of tissue? I am also dealing with arm and back skin. Great video...and you are very beautiful no matter what choice you make!!
Try the pork belly with Trader Joe’s Chili Lime seasoning and/or Tajin :)
Thanks!
what is the gold leaf thing under your eye ?
Can you share what brand of cutting board you’re using? Thanks!
What brand is that cook top? Does it produce even heat across the whole surface? For context, I have a Blackstone, which is popular. But the top is so thin that the temperature across the cooking surface varies wildly.
Yes I love it, it's actually the Same Club Members Mark brand
@ Thanks!
Costa Rica has a place called Eternally Vain. They cater to Americans. The owner has a house you stay in, and her mother makes sure you are cared for. I met someone who went there, and I would probably do that. Just a thought.
I had arms done. Lots of nerves so healing is quite uncomfortable
I also had a tummy tuck and breast lift 13 years ago. Now when I gain weight it all goes to my arms.
What's the name of your outdoor griddle you use? We are searching for a nice one because I'm sick of the grease smell in my house all the time.
I think she said it's a Blackstone ( please forgive me if that's incorrect)...
@allieeverett9017 I'll go back and listen to the video. I was trying to look for some emblems of some kind because we were looking into maybe getting a Blackstone.
@allieeverett9017 thank you 😊
I feel you look great just the way you are. Please consider loving your body as is. ❤
Great!

U were only eating 8 pcs bacon for meals?
@@YeshuaKingMessiah Yes. I have a torn diaphragm and a hiatus hernia…if I eat even one more bite I will be in terrible pain for seven hours. But, by calories…it is a good amount. Lately, I have added 2-3 ounces cheese…again to slow the rapid weight loss.
🌟Lost 120 pounds in 10 months…total.
🌟🌟Now my face is fighting fine lines and wrinkles! 🥹
I cannot eat any veggies or I will be in pain…not fruit. So, not wanting the emergency operation that I was supposed to have…I discovered if I eat carnivore…I am not in any pain. As long as I eat carnivore I do not even know I am seriously ill.
And, yes, 🇨🇦I do have free health care. I signed myself out of emergency dept while in queue for surgery. Because, I have no one to take care of my Texas Rescue Chihuahua.
@ ur going to die instead? 😳
We live in a society where we are always seeking what we don’t have sadly.
The 3D world.
Thanks for letting me know that they have the pecanha at the Walmart in Mesa. How do you typically cook it
Hi Laura I'm really enjoying your channel and learning as I go. Thank you for sharing a lot of helpful information. My Q is do you take calorie count into consideration? I am older 66yo and I'm trying to be careful how many calories in a day. I looked up the Pork Belly and it is very high in calorie count even when it is air fried. I believe it said a small 4oz serving was like 600 calories. Thank you in advance for the consideration. Much Love, Cynthia
I so understand about getting rid of the bat wings. If I were younger, I would definitely do it but at my age now, it's not worth it. I also never wear short sleeves so it's good enough.
Excellent thanks very much 😮😅
Hi Laura. What do you use for under eye bag?
amzn.to/3EpVfNj
@@LauraSpaththanks! Purchased a 50 pack. They're discounted right now! 🎉
Me, a European, listening about paying 4 thousand dollars for anesthesia O_o
This is an elective procedure, so her insurance isn’t paying for anything, if it were not elective her insurance would pay for the procedure and and anesthesia.
I do my pork belly just like that!
Gosh I wish I had the money to do all this lol
How tall are you? I’m 5’6 and want to get to 130, so I’m eating 130 grams of protein. Did you lower your protein? I think you look great!
I would love to do a tummy tuck but living alone isn’t conducive to that. Thinking about a laser lipo procedure I’ve seen recently where you basically wear a girdle after but it depends on where the nearest place to me is (especially if I can’t drive home myself)
Yep I can never get an elective op
One arm at a time for sure
No one cares for me
I just started watching you and am interested in getting carbs out of my life. What kind of cheese do you use please?
Hi, laura. What is the reason for adding more fat to your diet at this point In your journey?
If you did go back to bad lifestyle, you definitely CAN have gained belly again. 2 friends had tummy tucks thinking they would never regain there, they both gained exactly where they had removed.
I'm three weeks in on carnivore, and lost 6lb the first week, but haven't lost anything since then. I just have 2 meals a day, one late morning/early afternoon when I get hungry, then one around 8pm. I'm eating about the same or less than how much Laura has but I don't have cheese or dairy. I also have one bulletproof coffee in the morning, but can't seem to get those scales to move. I was whole foods for 18 months before Carnivore, so my body hasn't had a lot of carbs, and very little sugar before the switch. I just thought I'd be losing each week, but I'm stuck and wondering what I need to change.
Hey carnivore friend, just a friendly suggestion, since I've done the same thing in the past. Start paying more attention to "inches" than to your weight. Muscle weighs more than fat, so if your even slightly active, your body could be transitioning it's muscle, and your body is changing shape at your waist, or arms, butt, ECT.
Once I started ignoring the weight, and focused on how I was feeling better, and the clothes started fitting looser, then realized that carnivore was working. Maybe start journaling what good changes you have experienced, vs the focus on the "scale". ❤
Also, add more animal fat to your meals. 😉
I love making crispy pieces of pork belly
Try some L-rueteri half and half yogurt for breakfast. I am loving it. I am eating it every morning (low carb, the probiotic eats up the sugars in the half and half).
97% of people no longer have L-rueteri due to antibiotics.
"The yogurt of love" TH-cam video is great.
It looks like youre good for the money. I say go for it
So, if they remove now the fat from your back and arms and fat has nowhere else to go, like it did with your tummy tuck, where do you think it will go? Is it like liposuction where you don't have fat cells there anymore so they have to choose a different place to deposit themselves?
That's a great question, I have a couple theories but really as long as I am not gaining Fat I think it would go nowhere. The goal is to have less fluctuations. Right now I have these empty fat cells/adipose tissue (that your body doesn't get rid of even when you lose weight), and so any water retention or inflammation causes those areas to fill with water...so I gain weight and swell up easily. The goal would be for that to stop happening when I remove all that excess tissue.
This surgery wouldn't have any lipo suction at all.
Ok Laura, now you're just cutting off parts of your body that exercise will help. But i have to say, I'd attribute everything to carnivore, too, if i were just cutting it off. I understood the belly, but this is too "Burn After Reading " for me. 😂
Just curious…how did Kelly Hogan not have these loose skin issues? She also lost quite a bit of weight. It’s also kind of discouraging…knowing that this awaits you after struggling all those months to get the weight off…just sayin’
Probably due to her age. Kelly was pretty young when she lost the body fat
I lost over 100 pounds when I was about 50. That was 13 years ago.. almost no loose skin, thank God! Just some on the arms, but I can deal with it. PS… yes, I’ve kept it off.
hi Laura! do you mind if I ask, how old were you when you began to lose weight on carnivore? am I correct in assuming it was after you had your kids? thank you!
Yes after. I was 33. (And had been obese for over a decade)
@@LauraSpath thank you so much for replying, Laura! I am only just beginning, and I am 32. the fear of loose skin has a been a big one for me, but I am finally in a place where I understand it's worse to be obese. I am 5'3 and 190LBS. thank you for your channel
Thought you had safety glasses on lol
You look great. Don't mess with perfection!
Do not have an FSA?
What's with the gloves?
how do you eat so much at one time? I am new to carnivore and always liked meat, eggs and cheese. But - It makes me start to feel sick after about 1/2 the portion you show. any ideas?
What kind of air fryer do you have? Is it Teflon, lead and toxins free?
But you get that amount with just one sponsered video🤷♂
hahaha I wish! I wouldn't be working a full time corporate job if that was the case.
@@LauraSpath Oh ok. I know some do and make millions and still continue YT. My bad
How much was the tummy surgery? Something I’d really like to do …..
I did an arm lift, left me very scared. Don’t do it
Or counter offer, you learn to love what used to be and not get surgery. Hugs
That is a great option too
How much was the tummy tuck?
It was around 20,000
What was under your eyes?
Just some silly eye patches from Amazon. Not sure how effective they are, but I store them in the fridge and it feels good in the morning. amzn.to/3EpVfNj
I’m interesting in how much it cost for skin removal surgery due to I’ve lost 80 on carnivore and have a lot of excess skin…but it’s so expensive I’m sure
Hi dear, you told the doctor that u normally cover ur arms, so why do u want, all those scars, I cover my belly every day, with a baggy t-shirt, lol.
Laura, will you be able to lie on your back or side when yre back is done?
That would be tough I'd think! Along with your arms...
Go to Turkey for a quarter of the money
