So glad you have upload his story 👏 Paul Dillet was true genetic body builder at that time. I was always wanted to know his story, after seeing his photo of then and now.
In my opinion he should’ve won the title. Yes his posing wasn’t good, but cmon there was no one bigger than him, and with as small of a waist. I don’t think we’ve ever seen anything like him before or since. He even dwarfed Dorian, and I love Dorian
I just heard another story that says : Paul Dillet didn't stop posing that day, People kept asking him to stop, announcers were telling him his time was up, but Paul kept screaming “YOU DONT GET TO LEAVE DILL-I-LET YOU LEAVE!” As he hit a back double bi.
I think his incident, was an experience for all the bodybuilding itself. His story with magnesium and calcium, has taught others to not neglect these minerals, in the 1 week out period.
I met Paul at the idk 99 Arnold Classic. He was as cool as could be. He was one of those in the magazines I've always admired. I wish I could hang out with him today
I've researched Paul Dillet's CFL Football career on GOOGLE and I can't find anything. No CFL Roster info, no College Football team info or even high school football info. Also Dillet himself doesn't mention his Football career in interviews at all - it's was the Muscle Magazines that stated that he played for the CFL. Was it made up? Or was Dillet a practice squad player like Mike Katz with the JETS (which does have corroborating pictures) Or was Dillet invited to a training camp but washed out, similar to Lou Ferrigno? I do know that Dillet had some injury issues, even when he started Bodybuilding, that limited most of his training to using machines and lighter weights - Dillet was very careful about not getting injured more or aggravating existing injuries. It was mentioned that many other Bodybuilders were surprised that such a HUGE guy like Dillet could get such impressive results with just lighter weights and basing his training on the pump. I also think that his pre-existing injuries were a major factor in why he couldn't hold his bodybuilding poses very long. I will say this, I still think Paul Dillet had, in my opinion, the BEST Genetics in Bodybuilding.
DILLET was the king of the genetic, he was a freak,structure/legs /calves..what threw it off was back/posing/chest shape and the veins in that area as well.. it was not only a matter of work ethic... he had a lousy diet, mostly never worked hard enough coasting on his unmatched gifts
Ew..my aunt does WBFF and she never works out. married a rich man, cheated on him, took his money, plasticized herself and tatood her eyebrows...and bam, she places 5th
Taking chemicals that force fluid and essential minerals out of the body as a quick fix for a lack of preparation is what caused his near death experience. A mixture of poor advice and laziness. Look amazing yes, worth it? no
Paul could've been better then Ronnie Coleman if he had a better mindset

Paul was the first Mass Monster! A true uncrowned Mr. Olympia!!
Paul had BY FAR the overall best physique of the 90s...He dwarfed Dorian standing alongside him...

His posing was awful, he couldn't hold a rear double Bicep or perform a latspread, How does that beat a seasoned and peeled professional like Dorian?
Look how big he was with a narrow waist

Paul Dillet had the best looking physiq imo
Nobody responded to drugs like Dilletstein. But he had no idea what to do onstage.

His back was lacking. That was his main issue. Freak from every angle until he turned around.
Maybe he never bothered with deadlifting to really develop a thick back
Top Video!

Met him at golds on sahara n Decatur he trained some folks there he was definitely taller than 6"3 more like 6ft 5 or more
Bodybuilders have tremendous dedication and work ethic but as a sport, it's really stupid
It's not a sport, it's a pageant
Pageant lol
Insane genetics. He gave it like only 70%
Wow 😍😍😍 i wanna talk about the excellent, smooth, audience engaging way u brought his story back into life, neat 👏👏
Thank you 🙏

Well, i think WBFF is just for appearances, since it's not that big show, plus they don't get a lot of money from it
@@StrongerThanTheWorld ahh says a lot abt her prenup
His problem was his posing was bad an he could not hold the flex
He looks like simpsons
