    Excellent information, thanks much. I had the exact same Bilstein setup on my ’14 Silverado 1500 w/exception to the tire brand (I had Toyo AT3’s ‘E’ rated). After 25k miles of this I couldn’t take the extra stiff ride. I’ve been scouring the net to get an honest review of the Eibach setup you installed, compared to the Bilstein’s. I recently replaced the Toyo’s and installed the new Falken WIldpeak AT4’s. I went with ‘D’ rated instead of an ‘E’ this time, to help soften the ride on the street.
    Anyway, the ride with the ‘D’ rated tires is slightly better but not quite enough when I air them up to haul my boat. With that said, I think I’ll pull the trigger and swap out the Bilstein’s (digressive valving) w/the Eibach’s (progressive valving) when I get back from an upcoming fishing trip next week.
    Thanks again for posting this video and sharing your real-world experience. Much appreciated.

      Yeah definitely you’ll find a slightly more comfortable ride with the eibach’s is what I’ve experienced, I’ve switched to a lighter AT tire with different sidewall design as well for more ride comfort

    Hello Brother, Thanks for the time and effort..I have a 2012 Silverado 1500 Extended cab and considering the Eibach Pro Truck suspension and in return would like to have the Deaver Mini Pack and Add-a--Leaf with beafier tie rods and bushings and a decent UCA for those darn speed bumps and small whoops with 315 tires..I hope it's a good combo and worth the money for my project.

      That sounds like a great setup, between the eibach and bilstein struts for my use and ride preference I prefer the eibachs as they are slightly more comfortable ride and absorb the bumps better. Thanks for watching!

    hi watch your videos all the time as i just pick up the same tires you have.....do you have a part number for the eibachs and where did you buy?...thru shock surplus?...thanks!

      Hey I actually purchased the set through stage3motorsports since they had a good sale going, but shock surplus is a great option as well. I will post the eibach shock link in the video description. Hope that helps!

    Great review! I currently have the 5100's set at clip #5 on my Ram 1500. Between the amount of compression I had to do to fit the spring on the shock, plus the valving of the 1500's, I just don't like how stiff the ride is. Mine is my daily driver as well. It actually feels borderline dangerous sometimes, especially bridge transitions on the highway. It will damn near kick my truck sideways to the point that it feels like I might lose control. Honestly, the only thing I like about the 5100's is that there's basically zero body roll. I'm definitely considering this setup as well and hoping it will fix my issues that I've been having on road. It's frustrating spending time and money on a setup that you don't end up liking.

      Hey thanks! I feel I was in same situation you’re currently experiencing, the preload to get the lift on the spring will make it stiffer ride, the eibach lifted spring/shock combo is a perfect remedy to the stiff ride. Don’t get me wrong it’s still a firmer ride over stock with the eibachs but it’s in between stock and bilstein I would say. Hope that helps!

      @@TrophyTimeAdventures Yeah I don’t mind a little bit of a stiffer ride, as long as I’m not fish tailing or that my truck sounds like it’s about to fall apart after going over potholes and bridges, I’ll be happy lol

    Great videos. I just found your site so I haven’t looked at them all yet but I’m curious, do you think those 295/70R18 would fit my F150 with just a 2” or 2-1/2” level spacer up front while leaving the rear stock. I have an XLT 4X4 with tow package.

    • @TrophyTimeAdventures
      @TrophyTimeAdventures  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey thanks! Yeah with a 2” or bigger level you should be good with that tire size on factory rims. If you go more aggressive offset you may need to do some trimming. Leaving the rear stock height shouldn’t be a problem either.

    • @TangierFly
      @TangierFly 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks. I can’t afford new wheels but I want to go slightly bigger in tire size than 275/65, so I’ll be keeping with the stock 7.5 rims. I’m pretty sure they’re +44 offset. Book says 285/70 and 295/70 will both fit that rim. And the 295 seems to have more options. Appreciate your advice.

    • @TrophyTimeAdventures
      @TrophyTimeAdventures  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah keep an eye on the tire weight as you’re picking out a tire it definitely impacts your fuel mileage, handling and acceleration/braking of your vehicle especially with the bigger tire sizes, you’ll find the weight can very a lot in the 295/70 size 👍

    Can the eibach front lift be adjusted like the bilstein? I know bilstein you can arrange the lift by moving the coil spring retainer up or down. Im wondering if with the eibach, you could adjust?
    What upper control arms do you have? Any link you can share for the upper control arms?
    Thanks!

    • @TrophyTimeAdventures
      @TrophyTimeAdventures  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey yes they can be adjusted with the retaining snap ring for height with the same settings as bilstein 5100. I went with the rancho upper control arms to help with alignment and articulation.

    I just added the bilstein 5100 to the rear and while it feels planted like you mentioned I feel is too stiff for my daily driving. I’m not sure I like the micro jitters and even thinking of going back to oem and live with the wallowy feel. the eibachs feel more cushy and muted like stock? I could care less of a sportier feel tbh

    • @TrophyTimeAdventures
      @TrophyTimeAdventures  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would say they’re somewhere in between stock and 5100s. Compared to 5100 I feel some slight body roll on corners, however much more conforming over potholes/bumps and off roading definitely not as harsh I feel.

    I’ve got a 19 Tacoma with 5100s on all 4s. Rides like a lifted go cart which works for my driving style but isn’t very forgiving when it comes to feel. Looking hard at the Eibachs for a little more comfort. Thank you for posting this. It’s big help!

    • @TrophyTimeAdventures
      @TrophyTimeAdventures  26 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Hey you bet! The eibachs are definitely a softer riding shock I would say when comparing to 5100 shocks. I think the fox 2.0s are a good option too for a softer ride but have heard those don’t last as long for mileage.

    For a daily driver, I might agree. But if doing any off-roading (other than a gravel drive) the Bilstein's would be my pick for sure. I've tried Eibach's on some serious off-roading (Moab UT/Ouray CO) and big let down, went back to Bilstein. But each their own.

    • @TrophyTimeAdventures
      @TrophyTimeAdventures  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah I think if I was running some serious off roading regularly that is probably where the bilstein shines. For my mild off road and service roads with primary daily drive the eibachs were better suited for the ride I was looking for. It really comes down to personal preference, which bilstein setup are you running? 5100 or 6112?

    what is your overall lift on the front? You said 2.75". Are you actually getting that? Also, did you add a block to the rear?

    • @TrophyTimeAdventures
      @TrophyTimeAdventures  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey yes with the eibach lift springs in place of the factory springs in front you yield 2.7” lift in front and then I replaced the factory 1.25” blocks in rear with 2” blocks for .75” lift in back to maintain a slightly raked stance. Hope that helps!

      Hey just to add to this question which slot did you set your spring clip? Is the spring doing all of the 2.7 or are you up a couple slots on your clip setting?

    • @TrophyTimeAdventures
      @TrophyTimeAdventures  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      My spring clip setting is on the lowest setting (0 inches lift slot) and then spring is doing all of the lift for 2.7 inches with this setup. hope that helps!

    How is the ride quality after 3 month of use?
    Thinking of switching my spacer lift for the eibach pro lift.
    The ride on the spacer lift is just horrible.

      The Eibach's have handled great so far. I notice slightly more body roll on sharp corners on the road compared to bilstein 5100s however they are more conforming/comfortable ride when it comes to offroad use and soaking up bumps/potholes on the road. You will notice a greatly improved ride compared to factory shocks with a puck/spacer style lift for sure which is what I originally had.

    • @TrophyTimeAdventures
      @TrophyTimeAdventures  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      They’ve held up great so far. They are a little softer riding than the bilstein 5100 were but still conforming and controlled. I notice slightly more body roll on corners at highway speed than 5100 but the benefit to me is a smoother more comfortable ride than 5100. They are both great upgrades over stock with the eibachs being slightly more plush riding overall. Hope that helps!

  • @SteveKois
    @SteveKois 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Do you feel much body roll when you're on-road with these? I'm debating between the two. Thanks!

    • @TrophyTimeAdventures
      @TrophyTimeAdventures  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Compared to stock both Bilstein and eibachs are much more firm/controlled handling and body roll, with the eibachs being just a tad softer with body roll but much more conforming to potholes, bumps, off road compared to the Bilstein in my experience. If you want a firm sports car like ride I’d recommend the Bilstein, the Bilsteins were too stiff for my preference hence the change to eibach. Hope that helps!
