You forgot the other solution for crits: equip the pan

Nobody talks about it because 1. The swords have a longer deploy speed, 2. Charging with a shield gives you melee crits, 3. Shields have on-demand movement, while the sticky jumper requires you to wait for the detonation timer, 4. Equipping boots and a shield instead gives you a (much-wanted!) movement speed bonus, and 5. There are two other buffs from the boots (namely the charge turning control and charge refill bonus) that become completely useless when equipping the sticky jumper.

Playing Demo like this is so fun. Especially on maps with plenty of air room.
Sometimes you get lucky with several kills and sometimes you just die instantly lol
