I think that good low-tour mission at the end is a perfect example for how to get what you want in mvm. For low tours, instead of ignoring high-tour advice because "I play how I want to play", you listen and actually complete the wave. On the flip side, if instead of insulting or otherwise antagonizing innocent low-tours for not magically knowing the mathematically proven optimal stragegy, you instead politely request loadout changes, they might actually listen to you instead of getting defensive and messing with you on purpose. Put simply: respect each other instead of being toxic and you might get what you want.
Yeah. A similar thing happened to me and some other dudes once in Broken Parts. I'm too lazy to tell my tale though because I already did in Weezy's hard mission video.
I don't usually have to advise low-tours, as I play Two Cities a lot and they're not that hard with basic competence. But I noticed our 0-tour engineer once was using ammo canteens or something, so I suggested switching to Building Upgrade instead, and he did. We got the bug where the barrier was invisible and he was having a hard time and started walking the long way so I offered to show him the crack between the rocks. I even suggested two-way teleporters and where to put it to minimize it getting scrapped. He took all my advice, though I'm not sure I adequately explained why those were the best options. But he played really well and we didn't have any problems.
i don't really mind letting lower tour players do whatever they try to do, as long as we can still complete the mission, i can't blame a heavy for using the tomislav when i sometimes decide to fuck around and play huntsman for fun that said, there's valuable advice i will give if necessary, namely that heavies don't do much to tanks, a lot of newer mann up players don't tend to know about it
I like to think that entire team now are rolling through missions getting there tour counts up high and getting the Australiums they started playing mvm for because the met the best reasonable hightour
Those Low-Tour Beans on Mission 45 are absolutely amazing. Massive props to them for communicating and being super chill about the whole thing. That was basically your REAL final mission; number 46 was basically a victory lap. May Gaben bless them all with shiny loot.
To be fair though, if what you saw was a demoman going bottle knight and having a kill/death ratio of a 6 tour pyro, would you be happy about that regardless if it’s someone who has a three digit tour count? Not saying it was justified griefing, I just think maybe he didn’t think it was about a challenge and more about a lack of optimization
Watching a bunch of scrappy low-tours go up against one of if not the most difficult waves in all of Mann Vs Machine, and managed to beat it just by being cooperative, considerate, and exerting every ounce of competency they had (and also following the guidance of a nice high tour) is one of the most wholesome things I've ever seen in TF2. Legit had me smiling to see you all victorious. Pugmaster99, Old Nick,The Sassy Shooter, Live,Laugh,Love, Die,Cry,Hate, and you too, Weezy; well done. You should be proud of yourselves.
That team on the penultimate mission is the most wholesome thing that mvm has ever created, and it is truly tragic that’s it’s like a once in a blue moon thing.
"No forcing other players not to use specific items that could eat into my kill potential" If only the entire MVM community made this condition standard fare for the gamemode as a whole.
Mission 45 is like TF2’s social equivalent of winning the golden pan. It’s so unlikely you never really consider it to happen in a reasonable time, but it just jumps at you out of nowhere. Amazing players in that game, I know God’s rooting for them
Shoutout to the group of Mission 45. Y’all are legends. Who knew that when a team communicates with each other properly in Co-op game mode they actually get shit done efficiently.
I have no idea what about MvM attracts so many honest-to-god psychopaths but it's refreshing to see a group like in the 2nd to last game. Those are the players I love to play with, even if we don't end up winning.
gambling, especially when the gambling is barricaded by missions with such god awful pacing that you'd have more fun shaving with a cheese grater than actually playing
loved that second to last mission. i'm not a high tour by any means, im at 46 tours, but if i ever see a new player struggling i give the usual tips but i always try and be as polite as i can be by saying things like "hey, just so you know, if you aim up at the tank as pyro you do double damage" or "just in case you didnt know, if you spamclick while reviving you heal faster" and for the most part people are chill and are cooperative. i truly think people in mvm across the entire board are too quick to anger. i get it, lowtours can be ultra frustrating and ive definitely had some missions where the new players while polite and pleasant to play with, they kept underperforming and losing the mission and after multiple wave losses i made up some bs about needing to go. but in my experience, if youre polite to people in mvm generally they're polite back.
What an actual child mvm players can be. Griefing in a PVE gamemode because someone was being “useless”? Middle school bullies have more integrity than that.
Fun part of that insult is that middle school bullies have zero integrity, and that's exactly why they feel the need to assert integrity through violence and control of others. When you feel the need to do the same online, in a pve gamemode, against people who you'll most likely never meet again, for a reason so minor you could be forgiven for just forgetting what it was, then you have less than no integrity, my friend. If you do this, your integrity reaches so low it's scraping Satan's anus.
Comparing MvM players to middle school bullies is an insult to those bullies because they are either at least actually take showers, are physically attractive, good at sports, are popular in school, or actually get to bang someone.
Yup , they really should make a way to report actions like that and if enough appear they give a ban for a set amount of time ( video recording as proof)
It's so on-brand for this channel that one of the major difficulties of the run comes from not the game itself but some of the interesting specimens that call it their home
MVM/TF2 needs like a Perma-Ban list for shitheads like that. VAC Ban them outright and lock their account out of joining offical game servers and force them to use community servers, which have 0 reason to ban you if your being a dickhead anyways lol
Legit, even though I know that wasn't what was actually playing in the video, my brain autocorrected the music to become Giorno Giovanna's theme when he finally got that last streak of good luck.
I do think this was worth watching over a movie, and here's why: You're entertaining, even to listen to. When I watch a long video like this, chances are high I'm barely paying attention to what's on the video while I play something on my other monitor. With a movie, I'd have to pay attention to both, something I can't really do. But with your commentary, I can get a full picture of what's going on, even while barely paying attention. Plus, your voice hits that sweet spot of alive enough to not be boring, but tame enough to not cause overstimulation. Though, admittedly, it was funny to hear you go off about F4 at the end. Keep up the amazing work, and shoutout to everyone in that second to last game.
If I recall, Tacobot group was doing child-exploitation? Again, the fact that taco group name stuck with me for so long, after I DONT PLAY MVM, is surprising... So, it must be something about it that's true for me to remember so vividly. Needs to be a massive permanet BAN/VAC ban on anyone doing that shit from MVM/TF2 Offical servers. @@danaa-
Biggest challenge in this is to find lobbies with players willing to play mvm. I tried doing tours like a year or 2 ago and in the span of 5 days i got only 3 games from which the first one was being hosted from Tokyo aka the other side of the world so i couldn't even leave spawn with that high ping but the other 2 games were very good
That wpuld be because you played during the hieght of the bot crisis so there were less players i have consistintly got at least one tour every day for the last year every time i played
50:20 I've actually tried to do this before with the wireless SNES controller Nintendo sells. Its obviously not ideal, but I binded everything to how Doom works on the SNES and it certainly was one of the ways you can control a videogame.
That's the thing that has been abused in tandem with all the other issues they utilize to their advantage. I have been sending emails everyday, and I hope some noise will be heard in official channels in communication It's insanity that must end. If everyone does the same; we might be lucky to see it fixed once and for all. In the server settings; it is suppose to soft-ban them after the kick, but it doesn't work.
@@sweetypuss I don't doubt that. However, bugfixes are still possible. Summer might be the time for the TF-Team to release a fair list of fixes, and clearly they're aware of the situation MVM was in. It's just that it needs noise & attention that compels Eric or the Contractor to possibly fix. Bugfixes are not off the table.
I remember seeing you during some of my tours and it was a surprise to see myself in this video!! I was Jimbo playing Pyro on I THINK Disintigration? (I'm still pretty low tour, so I'm still not too knowledgeable on the missions by name yet.) I remember thinking it was odd seeing a Vaccinator Medic shield bashing, but hey I think it ended up working fine, haha! Hopefully I didn't throw the challenge or anything too much for you!
I'm happy I got to see someone show how insane the eyelander is on demo even when he's not a demoknight. As long as you don't go down, you just have more health and speed than most of your buddies. Why use the bottle?
It's surprising how down to the wire this kind of challenge is. It's not the most impossible, but the fact that "10,000 Robots in 24 Hours" was as head-on as you could've gotten with the guess-timation, it genuinely surprised me in the end. A very entertaining video!
Hybridknight in MvM is by far most underrated loadout, and i was livid when you mentioned pipe demo without the hybridknight. What's even more fun with hybridknight is that if you max out crits on melee kill, you can combo those crits with your pipes to have a situational Krit canteen without needing to buy any.
11:22 Vruyiii: Complains about Weezy being useless. Also Vruyiii: Becomes not only just useless to the team but actively goes against the team as well.
46:30 SoloPan???? Man, I used to trade with him and played a few MvM games with him. Encounters I've had with him were always pleasant. What a crying shame to actually see him turn out to be like this. Thanks for this video though, got no qualms with removing & blocking him after this.
Can I just say how much I love the random as peanut cameo. I've followed his journey as a mac main and i loved know that he played tf2. But seeing him in a Weezy video was just icing on the cake
i hope Vruuyii watches this video and realizes that he just made the object of his tantrum's paycheck. Weezy didn't need rent, he already lived in Vruuyii's head rent-free
1:16:59 Idk how it reminded me of this, but when i was playing Wave 666 one time, i told my team that i had to take a dump, so i ran to the bathroom, did my buisness, ran back to my PC, and when i sat down, i found out that my entire team waited on me to come back before anyone F4ed
MVM ran prior to Meet Your Match, and updates to Valve servers aren't kind to the gamemode. An recent example being that changes towards kicking in 2022 caused spectators within MVM to be immune to kicks. It had to be patched, *twice.* Not sure why soft-bans are buggered, as it clearly exists within the system. Surely, noise has been made that these are problems the gamemode still had for all these years. At the same time, MVM is a niche area of TF2, and the jerks abusing it are an extremist minority. Although, just because its rare, doesn't mean the problem doesn't clearly exist. Literally a short, 5-10 minutes will deal with these issues, and that way it wouldn't suck even if it becomes abused. There are plenty of servers to go around, but griefers love to harass lobbies they are the minority of. Griefers do employ bots to fill-up servers, and that's what they'll do next. It's the same reason why the Robot-Stuck check exists, yet fails to solve them. It works on servers hosted on Windows as intended... But then all Valve servers are hosted on Linux, and so it doesn't work...
That Low Tour team was the white whale every High Tour Harry wants. And you were the non-toxic mentor every noobie team needs. Their tour count may have been small, but their hearts and brains were big.
God i wish more round 45's would happen in MVM a team that started out bad! Learned from their mistakes took advice to heart and with percistance and determination beat the mission! Sure having a full team of people being able to shred a mission in under 20 minutes is great! But seeing everyone put the effort into beating the mission is most of the time WAY more satisfying!
A lot of low tours are more likely to be communicative with higher tours because not only do they KNOW they're out of their depth, if you approach it with a politeness unseen typically within MVM parties and teach rather than scold, you help everyone! I really liked that moment in the video. Its nice seeing newbies getting uplifted and taught rather than shit on and left to figure it out the hard way. Good vid!
Weezy, your really the sane man of MVM, the one that only by the power of knowledge and patience, can make even the lowest of tours obey to your tips. I'm sure that the phrog Pyro had to be thankful to know the tank-busting strat from a calm high tour. By spitting racism and insults you are just making them more defensive and justifying not listening to you. By calmly and positively criticizing them without downright reducing them is one, if not, the best way to establish a positive connection with them and increases the chances of actually listening to you. That should serve an example that with kindness and respect, you can accomplish even the most difficult of feats.
my favorite part of the video is Weezy witnessing the true power of the iron bomber in MvM. stickies are powerful, but sending constant booms in rapid succession is so euphoric
Actually met peanut at a tournament once, had lunch with him… he is a really cool guy and his story of using little mac is so simple it’s pretty inspiring
I just played Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 so I'm imagining the news reporter from the start if the chapter saying "This is CatNap, and he's a menace who griefs in MvM because he believes the community is too toxic, despite the fact that he is also contributing to that fact.".
12:00 Idk I'm gonna be real considering these missions take like 20-30 minutes per attempt and cost actual money to do, I honestly can't blame anyone for getting mad about this. Getting mad about some tours he wasn't even involved in 2+ years ago IS just insane, but like, I get why players might be mad about this specifically.
Vruyiii: *insert crying soyjack* "NOOOOO, YOU CAN'T WORK WITH CHEATERS IN MVM, IT RUINS THE GAME, BECAUSE OF THIS I'M GOING TO RUIN THE GAME FOR YOU AND ALL YOUR FRIENDS BECAUSE YOU SUPPORT CHEATERS AND YOUR FRIENDS SUPPORT YOU WHICH MAKES THEM CHEATER SUPPORTER SUPPORTERS!" Weezy: *normal guy* "I don't care, it's just a game, you're making it way too complicated than it needs to be"
And apparently according to a few other comments. Hes a child predator and defends cheaters himself. But not sure if true but I honestly wouldn't be surprised
@@Canadian_Ale might be, who knows, but if he was called a predator on Twitter, I'm going to highly doubt that since it's Twitter and people would call you a pedophile for no god damn reason if you piss them off
19:56 The Thermal Thruster has an upgrade that allows you to stun nearby robots. This doesn't work with giants, but it can still give you a chance of killing small Uber meds.
oh hey! I actually got to be in the video for maybe 2 seconds! isn't that neat. who would've thought that a 430 tour guy with a soldier pfp and a banana loadout would actually be the real deal huh... well, I'm very much glad that I was a part of this, even if it didn't mean much at the end (I was playing as scout on metro I'm pretty sure when I stumbled into you, you replied to me with a lenny bind when I called you out lmao. gg man)
39:15 to be fair, your previous mission #24 put you at the half way mark for the 24 hour time period (1440 minutes), so you weren't THAT far behind in kills.
seeing those low tours actually take your advice at 1:15:40 actually made me so happy lmao. i cant even convince someone that we should swap our second soldier for an engi.
Why do people dedicate themselves so much to being complete wastes? "This person was playing sub optimally for one game, so now I will forefit my enjoyment for as long as it takes to ruin their day, no matter how much it hurts me." Has some real "drink poison to kill someone else" energy.
That low tour pyro and the rest of his team were peak players. Inexperienced but attentive, communicative, and with awareness of what was happening. The engi with his dispenser, pyro switching to the phlog and soloing the tanks... Absolutely brilliant execution.
You know it takes a special kind of person to really see a video from 2 years ago that was an experiment and still have a blood vendetta against you about it. It’s not even like one of those circa 2015 “social experiment” videos. The fact that these actual man children have this much of a stick up their own collective asses over a nearly 20 year old game amazes me.
petition to ban all taco bot members off steam? Im surprised they dont see flaws in theyre own logic, they hate low tours so they griff but how are you supposed to get more of them if assholes keep ruining your game, its never ending loop of them being in the wrong.
You may have gotten your ass griefed to Infinity and Beyond, but I feel like turning those 5 Low Tours into future heroes one day who'll carry another batch like they were once upon a time was worth the cheek pounding
Was curious whether you got any aussies and other valuable drops during all of this. Next time you do a challenge like this, you should add a segment at the end where you show everything noteworthy you obtained and how much money it'll net you should you choose to sell.
So you made a video condemning cheaters in MVM, played with cheaters to get footage for it, and this guy is holding a grudge against you for getting that footage? In the words of Saitama: "Here's a guy with some free time."

That team on the penultimate mission is the most wholesome thing that mvm has ever created, and it is truly tragic that’s it’s like a once in a blue moon thing.
Yeah as the banana Said "rarer than the australiums"
"No forcing other players not to use specific items that could eat into my kill potential"
If only the entire MVM community made this condition standard fare for the gamemode as a whole.

Gambling.
@@DM_2145true
gambling, especially when the gambling is barricaded by missions with such god awful pacing that you'd have more fun shaving with a cheese grater than actually playing
loved that second to last mission. i'm not a high tour by any means, im at 46 tours, but if i ever see a new player struggling i give the usual tips but i always try and be as polite as i can be by saying things like "hey, just so you know, if you aim up at the tank as pyro you do double damage" or "just in case you didnt know, if you spamclick while reviving you heal faster" and for the most part people are chill and are cooperative.
i truly think people in mvm across the entire board are too quick to anger. i get it, lowtours can be ultra frustrating and ive definitely had some missions where the new players while polite and pleasant to play with, they kept underperforming and losing the mission and after multiple wave losses i made up some bs about needing to go. but in my experience, if youre polite to people in mvm generally they're polite back.
@@ComparativelyRegular*compared to manchild MvM
Yup , they really should make a way to report actions like that and if enough appear they give a ban for a set amount of time ( video recording as proof)
It's so on-brand for this channel that one of the major difficulties of the run comes from not the game itself but some of the interesting specimens that call it their home
MVM videos always bring these weird lore dumps of the most petty griefers on the planet
They don't learn that they're just content fuel for The banana tuber
MVM/TF2 needs like a Perma-Ban list for shitheads like that. VAC Ban them outright and lock their account out of joining offical game servers and force them to use community servers, which have 0 reason to ban you if your being a dickhead anyways lol
Cowards grief in PvE because the other players can't go and kill them. In PvP you have to be leagues better than your victim to grief.
That bit with the team who was actually receptive to communication felt so deus ex machina it felt like the game flickered into anime
"You triggered my trap card!!"
Legit, even though I know that wasn't what was actually playing in the video, my brain autocorrected the music to become Giorno Giovanna's theme when he finally got that last streak of good luck.

that ending with the low tours is actually so nice, the most rewarding in mvm for me is just helping lower tour players play more optimally.
Keep up the amazing work, and shoutout to everyone in that second to last game.
the fact vruyiii was still holding that grudge is just an L for them, cause holding a grudge for 2 years, is insanity

Yeah, thats the average MARI/tacobot affiliate/member.
If I recall, Tacobot group was doing child-exploitation? Again, the fact that taco group name stuck with me for so long, after I DONT PLAY MVM, is surprising...
Still mind-boggling how much toxicity could be avoided and how many manchildren could be put back in their place if the votekick actually worked...
That's the thing that has been abused in tandem with all the other issues they utilize to their advantage.
I have been sending emails everyday, and I hope some noise will be heard in official channels in communication
It's insanity that must end. If everyone does the same; we might be lucky to see it fixed once and for all. In the server settings; it is suppose to soft-ban them after the kick, but it doesn't work.
@@risa1467you poor, poor soul. imagine thinking valve listens to fans
Bugfixes are not off the table.
whats funny is that im pretty sure its possible and was already done for casual, they just wont do it for MVM
6:59 "In terms of mechanical skill the engineer doesn't need much".
Ironic, don't you think?
It's surprising how down to the wire this kind of challenge is. It's not the most impossible, but the fact that "10,000 Robots in 24 Hours" was as head-on as you could've gotten with the guess-timation, it genuinely surprised me in the end. A very entertaining video!
Ok, that high-tour deciding to join in on the bowman chicanery for giggles was a great sidenote for that mission.
The “I’m out of tickets!? Better do a sponsored segment” bit will never get old.

That low tour Bigrock mission towards the end was so damn wholesome!
I don't fucking understand how, in the year of 2023, Valve STILL allows people who have been kicked from games to simply come back in.
MVM ran prior to Meet Your Match, and updates to Valve servers aren't kind to the gamemode.
An recent example being that changes towards kicking in 2022 caused spectators within MVM to be immune to kicks. It had to be patched, *twice.*
Not sure why soft-bans are buggered, as it clearly exists within the system.
Amazing how some people dont have anything going on in life and waste the only lifetime they have griefing someone on MvM over a two year old gripe
That Low Tour team was the white whale every High Tour Harry wants. And you were the non-toxic mentor every noobie team needs.

In the end, the real Mann vs Machine were the friends we made along the way
Man it's so satisfying when your team is willing to work with you
"A shank, a metal arm, and a radiation rectangle" sent me dude. I nearly passed out because of that
A lot of low tours are more likely to be communicative with higher tours because not only do they KNOW they're out of their depth, if you approach it with a politeness unseen typically within MVM parties and teach rather than scold, you help everyone!
Vruyiii giving you better results than the majority of your other games is hilarious

Vruyiii: *insert crying soyjack* "NOOOOO, YOU CAN'T WORK WITH CHEATERS IN MVM, IT RUINS THE GAME, BECAUSE OF THIS I'M GOING TO RUIN THE GAME FOR YOU AND ALL YOUR FRIENDS BECAUSE YOU SUPPORT CHEATERS AND YOUR FRIENDS SUPPORT YOU WHICH MAKES THEM CHEATER SUPPORTER SUPPORTERS!"

That low tour pyro and the rest of his team were peak players. Inexperienced but attentive, communicative, and with awareness of what was happening. The engi with his dispenser, pyro switching to the phlog and soloing the tanks... Absolutely brilliant execution.
