One of the greatest jokes I ever heard was Samoan based. The comedian John Pinette said he walked into a Samoan clothing store. The clerk asked John, (at 400 lbs) if he was a medium. Brought tears of joy to John.

We are North Pacific Islanders of Micronesia, Palau. When Covid hit stores allover America were stocking out of toilet paper and Clorox bleach even here on the island, but we did not panic. We only panicked when we ran out of mayonnaise!😂😂😂

It's crazy how back in the days not even a hundred years ago Samoans weren't huge big they were tall they were slender they had stockiness but they weren't humongously big due to the Western diets and everything it has changed the culture drastically

Yes i grew up in 80s in tonga... kids were skinny lol... its also due to cheapness of western food in western countries. And the reverence in the islands given that fat = prosperous
