This is a great video, one of the best on how to maximize up-time. Here's some notes, though: - Most PI can be done while docked. There's a button just above the Undock button in each station called "View Outside". You can do 90% of your PI from there - everything but actually placing the Command Centers & Pickup / Drop-off. - Double-clicking on some UI elements can save lots of mouse movement during setup. For instance, you can double-click a recipie & double-click where you want it to go. The route gets created automatically. - I generally load my launchpads from the Planet view & rarely write down the materials. I select a pad, click the rocket icon, & a view to the POCO opens up. I click a destination factory & it opens a different window. I select the factory inputs from the POCO & drop them into the factory. Last one: You'd be able to make 96 Wetwares in 4 days if you added 1 more P3 factory for a total of 2. You'd need to adjust your P2 factories though, which pushes you over what 1 planet can hold.
Oh for sure there are slightly quicker ways to do things, even after 5 months i have worked this out. For a person looking at P.I i think this is definitely a good start. I'm someone who prefers things wrote down :D I will have to have a look at modifying some things and see how much i can push it then. Q, you say this setup makes 48 Wetware Mainframes every 4 days, however, your High-Tech factory produces 1 unit per hour, 24 per day. So it's operating only at half capacity due to limited inputs. Could you optimize this and feed P2s instead of P1s, so that your single High-Tech factory runs at 100% efficiency?
You'd need 2 factories making each P3 input, for a P4 factory to run 24/7. That's only 6 Advanced factories, though - 7 counting a single Hi-Tech. You might be able to have 2 factories making P4, requiring 12 taking P2 to P3. (14 total) That's alot of expensive input though, & you might run into size constraints.
Been doing this for over 2 year however i built a google sheet with GESI to make a calculator to identify the profit potential of all the teh 3 and 4 pi
Same. Though for my factory planets i use 7 day setups since im a shift worker. Setup, go to work, 1 week passes by and then come home, sell product & repeat.
@MrNintoku yea mine are 8.3 days which admit is a little annoying but is more pleasing for the numbers as it's just simple 64k stack of 4 different p1 materials. I used to have it setup for 0 interaction over that time but found the day 0 moving into storage on 55 planets to be to painful after about a year so now I just fill the 2 launchpads with half half once every 3 days which takes about an hour all up...the small stint interaction is more supportive of my time currently so works well.
That looks like fun! Is it possible to make or mine all of those resources by oneself? That would be the best feeling; going out and mining the materials, finding the blueprints etc. and turning them all into the finished product. At least once. I imagine it would be almost impossible to get all that together every four days. This video makes me want to play Eve again :)
PI can make decent revenue... And sometimes you can find goldilocks planet where you can run most the chain locally including extraction. Problem is my god the clicking and filling the factories. 1 char worth is a lot, multiple characters all doing the same is hours of labor per week. Granted, most forms of revenue in eve are time intensive on purpose, but PI specifically feels like busy work. Good video still, this is for sure how it works.
I used to do extraction - P4 across several different characters. It was a ton of time to stay on top of. Swapping to purely a factory setup helped keep me sane.
@@DoceoDuoEVEOnlineFWIW, you end up swapping daily clicks & time for a decent amount of profit. Is it better than mining, or ratting, or any of the other ways to spend time? Eh... That's for each player to decide.

Every 4 days you input materials and take out the wetwares. Thats where those taxes come into play. So i just deduct these from the profit every 4 days.
At current market prices, the 3 different T3 resource input sold at market value equates to the same as 1 Wetware Mainframes. Factoring in Custom Tax for inputs, you're actually better making T3s and selling them to the market instead.

Noob here. Sorry I didn't get the level of ROI. Fill up for 4 days costs 70mil and return is only 24mil? If I'm mistaken and return is 48 * 2.5 mil, then do you think it makes sense with default high taxes for customs and brokers?
Default taxes are a huge burden, always train as soon as you can into them. Yeah thats the average cost/income * x amount of toons and planets. Makes it worth it
Say you had a pile of one of the T2 components like Supercomputers (eg watercooled cpus, coolant and consumer elec) - you COULD just dump them into the corresponding launchpad right and they'll be used up even if the advanced fatories sit idle.
Am I misunderstanding something? You said 1 sells for a bit less than 2.5 million, and that you can produce 48 in 4 days. 48 times 2.5 million is 120 million, not 24.5 billion.
