The letters from home ready hit hard as my daughter is in boot camp right, 3 more weeks to go. She wrote me saying how much the letters she receives gives her confidence and comfort. I can't wait to see her rocking those dress blues , And accomplish her dream of becoming a Marine. 1 more week until the crucible. May God continue to safeguard and give her the strength and wisdom she needs to make it through. Amen!!!
Prayers be with you and your daughter! I went into basic training and came out a month later. Some people can do it and some people can't, but from my experience it can be really hard in every way possible if you don't have a great support system reminding you why you joined the military in the first place, so I have huge respect for those that can make it through boot camp and serve in the United States military! Trust me when I say it will be worth it to see her on the day of graduation 😄
How is your daughter? My son’s graduation(Parris Island) was January 3, 2002. I remember his description of the Crucible from his letter at the time. He got to travel to places in the world he wouldn’t have thought of going to.
@@amethystanne4586 She is good thanks for asking, she is training at her MCT school right now , hopefully she 🤞 will get to come home for Christmas. I hope your son is doing well too.
@ my son is doing very well now. He saw a lot of the world during his enlistments (Okinawa, Haiti, Iraq, Afghanistan). He ended up being in for about 10 years. His last assignment was as a recruiter out of the Nashville office. One of the young men in his first group of poolees introduced my son to one of his cousins. After going together for awhile, they married, built a good life together, and have 2 sons. My DIL is a wonderful woman. My son used his GI benefits to get an associates degree. He is now working as an apprentice electrician, taking night courses towards Journeyman/Master Electrician.

Everytime this comes up on my playlist, I can’t help but shed tears, I lived this life, for 16 years, planted trees in memory of fellow soldiers and loved ones. Escorted them home, and I will NEVER FORGET.
As a volunteer firefighter and 911 dispatcher, I had the honor of dispatching my first department's Assistant Chief's final call last year from within the walls of the station. It was one of the most difficult but most rewarding things I have ever done in my life. Watching this video, seeing that flag handed over and the 21 gun salute (7 guns x 3 shots each), it gives me chills. Thank you to all first responders, veterans, active and reservists. Your sacrifice does NOT go unnoticed.
For All who paid the ultimate sacrifice, A Slow Hand Salute. Say a prayer, raise a toast to them, for Freedom!! Happy Birthday America!! My Home Sweet Home. 🗽🎆🇺🇲

Every one was awesome.
Honor their Memory The Ultimate Sacrifice 05/24/2020 by Gerardo Molinar I was caught off guard when I heard of your enlistment, Who would've thought that child's play would lead to a commitment. The war games we played with wooden sticks for guns, The dirty bandages with red paint were all part of our fun. We parted ways to make a life with once in awhile meetings by chance, I paid no heed to talk of war or if our country would make a stance. Time went on with no major news that made any difference to me, That surprised look on my face seeing you in uniform on leave. A quick trip down memory lane of good times that we had, Unknown to me that last goodbye still feels like a painful stab. News about the Heroic way you made the Ultimate Sacrifice, Your life for those around you without thinking about it twice. I can't help but to see your smiling face as Taps echoes at a distance, "Don't be sad or cry for me, for I'd do it again without resistance" Still in a dreamlike state the 3 round volley snaps me back to reality, I look around and for once in my life I see you'll be in good company. The Ultimate Sacrifice given by others so we can remain Free, As the folded Flag is RESPECTFULLY given to your grieving Family. I share the sense of loss with them as my eyes dwell up with tears, As you are laid to your final resting place among all your peers.
I will always stand at attention for our flag, I will kneel before my Lord to praise his name and to pray for my brothers and sisters who have given the ultimate sacrifice. God Bless all who have served.

Everything I hear this song I have the urge to cry. My Brother served in the Army, thankfully he came back. Nothing but love and respect for all of our service members. ❤
I am watching this from England and I'm not ashamed to confess that it's absolutely gut wrenching and brings tears to my eyes when I see the devastation of brave men and women from the armed forces who are laid to rest after giving their country their loved ones the eternal heartbreak of attending their funeral knowing they're lives will never be the same again with the knowledge they will never hold or feel that person in this life ever again truly truly devastating beyond any words ! But it doesn't diminish the pride I know I feel and my fellow countrymen feel knowing our 2 countries have the most amazing relationship that 2 countries could or will ever have ! God bless
This song makes me think of my grandfather. He was a B52 bomber crewman from 1955-1959. He later worked at General Dynamics Bath Iron Works as a metal bender building destroyers. In between contracts at the shipyard he worked as a professional welder for a construction company. He could fix almost anything. He was also a volunteer firefighter and he was an extremely patriotic American. He loved this country with his entire heart and loved his community. If our community needed help, he was always one of the first ones to volunteer. I was only 11 years old when he passed away on new years day 2005.
@@johnlong4987funny story about him shortly before he died. He had a Bush 04 sign in his front yard, in the middle of nowhere here in Maine. Well someone apparently didn't like that, so they intentionally ran over his sign. So in response, my grandfather got two of the biggest president Bush signs he could, I'm talking like 5ft wide. He built a cinder block wall to the same dimensions as the signs in his yard by the road and put the signs on either side of the wall concealing it. Leaving a nice surprise for anyone that wanted to run over his new signs 😂. He was a great person, but he didn't take shit from anyone lol.
It just makes me think this song was written for my boy Jesse. America loving country boy from the backwoods of West Virginia. Just out of high school, he decided he wanted to be all he could be, so he enlisted. Met his wife during his second reenlistment, and he joined the reserves so he could settle down and start a family. Just a few months after his baby girl was born, his wife's turn came up for deployment. Jesse didn't hesitate in the least bit to lace up his boots and take her place, so she could stay home with their infant. In May of 2008 during his tour in Iraq, a bunch of cowards set off a roadside IED, sending his entire platoon home to Jesus. Jesse came home, laid beneath those stars and stripes. Here's to you, SSG Jesse A. Ault. May you always be remembered as a hero. You sir, are truly Mr. Red White and Blue.
Fantastic job on this. For those of us who didn't serve but had family serve. It's such an honor and this song drives home that feeling of patriotic respect they deserve!
Without these true heroes, there would be no opportunity for anyone to have the life they have here. God bless America, our troops, and our patriots! I salute 🫡 you!!
I admit I refused to watch the new version, thinking it can’t be better than the original. I love that Coffey Anderson is on this record, too! So many emotions invoked. The end of December, my county had a Deputy senselessly murdered at the side of the interstate as he was responding to a motorist assist call. The Deputy was also a US Navy Veteran. He left behind a wife, a son, daughter, and bonus son, not to mention extended family and countless friends. My Uncle retired from the US Army after 30+ years of service in 2019. They are why I stand for the Pledge of Allegiance, the National Anthem, and everything in between. Thank You for doing the remake. An even deeper Thank You to those who have served, are serving, and those and their families who gave their life so that I may live.
Love this song to its core. Thank you for such an amazing patriotic song especially right before our country’s Independence Day. And to all military personnel whom are active/Retired/POW/MIA your sacrifice will always be honored and respected.
As a Marine... as a brother.... this song hits hard. I recently buried my Grandfather. A man who served in the Marines and the National Guard. A Godly man who raised me as his Son rather than his Grandson. My heart still sings for that man. Even in death, I hope to do him proud as a Marine, as a Soldier, as a Brother and as his son.... Semper Fidelis Richard Lee Solomon.
Simper Fidelis for your grandfather. My Father passed away 3 years ago as a Marine. As they say once a Marine... always a Marine. May they all rest in peace.

I have served with the Honor Guard at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly MI, and yes, it humbles you and reminds you of the sacrifices made by those that came before us. 🇺🇸
Their bloodshed was never required for you to be free. That is a lie. You are a free man by Gods natural law. Constitution outlines this. Our freedom is not contingent on wether we go start illegal wars and act like world police.

@zackpearson9550 thank you for the kind words, she starts the crucible tomorrow at 2am. I can't wait for her to call me on Sunday.
Am not from the US am just a woman from Glasgow Scotland who happened to be born on the 4TH of july🎉. Thank you all services for keeping us safe. Much respect. Stay safe everyone x
You should be proud because i was on base with some of your boys from Scotland, we used to talk to each other and try and mimic our accents 😂. Me from Texas and them from wherever they called your towns
@@cornbread2418I am most definitely proud to live in Scotland. And very proud of our Scottish and American troops alike. We also have a sense of humor like no other😂. Stay safe in Texas lots of love from all in Glasgow x
God bless all the men and women who serve and who have served..I am very thankful to be in this country where we have freedom because of all of yall..God bless 🙌
Everytime this comes up on my playlist, I can’t help but shed tears, I lived this life, for 16 years, planted trees in memory of fellow soldiers and loved ones. Escorted them home, and I will NEVER FORGET.
Thank you for your service
This is why I stand for the flag and kneel at the cross. Thank you to all who have served or are serving our country
Amen
Coffey, I played this today and the crowd fell quiet. All of us veterans, felt this song. God bless you
You guys killed it. Already one of the most patriotic songs ever. Amped it up to the nth degree.
This my favorite song of all time. I’m glad I found it just in time for Memorial Day. You won’t be forgotten brothers
Thank u i am a firefighter daughter
For All who paid the ultimate sacrifice, A Slow Hand Salute. Say a prayer, raise a toast to them, for Freedom!! Happy Birthday America!! My Home Sweet Home. 🗽🎆🇺🇲
freedom doesnt come free, but we have to remember every fallen us soldier overseas made world a better place
I didn't serve. Had multiple family members that did. Some who didn't come home, including an Uncle who lost his life in WWII. SO. I have mad respect for our Military. So. With this said. I want to thank you for this song and video. Much respect. I also lost a daughter in law in Afghanistan. On that. I want to thank the Patriot Guard. Who protected us during the funeral. Every one was awesome.
The feels, the tears, and the truth of being torn. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Honor their Memory
The Ultimate Sacrifice 05/24/2020
by Gerardo Molinar
I was caught off guard when I heard of your enlistment,
Who would've thought that child's play would lead to a commitment.
The war games we played with wooden sticks for guns,
The dirty bandages with red paint were all part of our fun.
We parted ways to make a life with once in awhile meetings by chance,
I paid no heed to talk of war or if our country would make a stance.
Time went on with no major news that made any difference to me,
That surprised look on my face seeing you in uniform on leave.
A quick trip down memory lane of good times that we had,
Unknown to me that last goodbye still feels like a painful stab.
News about the Heroic way you made the Ultimate Sacrifice,
Your life for those around you without thinking about it twice.
I can't help but to see your smiling face as Taps echoes at a distance,
"Don't be sad or cry for me, for I'd do it again without resistance"
Still in a dreamlike state the 3 round volley snaps me back to reality,
I look around and for once in my life I see you'll be in good company.
The Ultimate Sacrifice given by others so we can remain Free,
As the folded Flag is RESPECTFULLY given to your grieving Family.
I share the sense of loss with them as my eyes dwell up with tears,
As you are laid to your final resting place among all your peers.
I will always stand at attention for our flag, I will kneel before my Lord to praise his name and to pray for my brothers and sisters who have given the ultimate sacrifice. God Bless all who have served.
Amen🫡❤️
"Soldiers can sometimes make decisions that are smarter than the orders they have been given.”. - Orson Scott, Semper Fi to all our Vets and Active Military personnel
Such a patriotic song. May we always be grateful for our American soldiers and their families. God bless them all.
GREAT song!!! Pulls at your heartstrings. God Bless all those serve and their their families. Especially the ones who gave the ultimate sacrifice... Their life to keep us safe. ❤️🤍💙🇺🇲

You amazing guardian angels are what makes our country safe, secure, and the most powerful nation on God green earth. God bless every single one of you. May God keep you and your families safe. Thank you for protecting America.
Hooaahh! Both versions hit me like a 120mm, M1 Abrams tank round. This former Cavalryman thanks y'all for writing & playing this. Hell, maybe there's still hope, after all. The fight for Freedom and Liberty rages ever on.
Thank you for your service 💕🇺🇲🇺🇲🏅
There are still some Patriots out here......thanks for your service

God Bless every service man and women. Thanks for their Service, for keeping us all safe.
As a vet myself, married to an active duty soldier and having lost many friends from my time in, this hit hard. I love how y'all did it
Ive never cried so hard for a song before. GREAT JOB GUYS!!!
It's really true! When you attend a Military funeral it hurts so much! I myself have been to several military funerals in San Antonio Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery! I support the Patriot Guard Riders and I fully support MY United States Military Men and Women! When I hear the 21 gun salute and Taps! Tears roll out of my eyes! In my heart I pray for our Fallen Hero! So yes please never forget about our Military fallen heroes! Please support our Veterans! God bless America! God bless our United States Military Men and Women! Especially bless our Veterans, POW/MIA! Thank you God
I’ve actually done the 21 gun salute at military funerals. It is definitely difficult. I served 8 years, including Desert Storm.

Same
As a gold star wife, this song hits home so much. Loved the original version, but this version hits harder for me.
This song brings out a lot of emotions. I love this song.
Coffey’s original hits so hard, this version is just as amazing though in its own right. You gentleman killed it
My daughter is an active Marine, my nephew an active Airman, my dad and father-in-law are both Army Vets.
This is such an epic song!
As a British veteran no matter where you are this hits home...oath stands till the end
Amen my freedom loving bro💪
Absolutely!!! Served with damn good Brits! You guys and Italy have hella good MREs!
@@LesliePourHouse lol good memory🇺🇸
As a fellow Brit and active serving member of the British military it’s a brothahood we fight to keep each other safe and make sure the mission is successful
And stand strong and tough
Everything I hear this song I have the urge to cry. My Brother served in the Army, thankfully he came back. Nothing but love and respect for all of our service members. ❤
This is such an underrated song... it's soo emotional and beautiful ❣️
You know it's an amazing song when it brings tears to your eyes the first time you hear the song
Amen🇺🇸
Put this in the super bowl halftime show ❤
I am watching this from England and I'm not ashamed to confess that it's absolutely gut wrenching and brings tears to my eyes when I see the devastation of brave men and women from the armed forces who are laid to rest after giving their country their loved ones the eternal heartbreak of attending their funeral knowing they're lives will never be the same again with the knowledge they will never hold or feel that person in this life ever again truly truly devastating beyond any words ! But it doesn't diminish the pride I know I feel and my fellow countrymen feel knowing our 2 countries have the most amazing relationship that 2 countries could or will ever have ! God bless
Godspeed Bloke, yes our Nations go way back👍
It's sad that most of America's younger generation can't understand that, God bless our boys in red over there🇺🇲🇬🇧
This song makes me think of my grandfather.
He sounds like he was a honorable man.
I would've loved to hear some stories of his life & adventures.
I like the rock covers of the older songs, but the sheer fact that the man joined in, EPIC!!!
I was a SEAL from 1992 to 2000. Lost many to the fight and still losing to PTSD. This song hits so damn hard! Thank you
Godspeed to you brother 🇺🇸👍
Godspeed brother 🇺🇸
How quick we are forgotten about once we have been home for a while.
Wow, Amen to your loss what a Great American War Fighter🫡🇺🇸🙏
RESPECT🇺🇸🫡

Fantastic job on this. For those of us who didn't serve but had family serve. It's such an honor and this song drives home that feeling of patriotic respect they deserve!
Total respect to all fallen soldiers .They went an extra mile. God take care of their family 😘🇰🇪🇰🇪
32 seconds in and the goosebumps have set in
Bro as soon as I heard the electric guitar I had goosebumps everywhere
Every single time I listen to this song it hits exactly the same, right in the heart. Greater love hath no man than he lay down his life for a friend.
Great song, respect to those who served
I can't even imagine what military families go through. Vets, not politicians, should have the best this country has to offer.
Wow love this version this song still brings tears over my lost brothers and sisters. #13 we will never forget
this is a great song , hats off to Mr coffey Anderson !
I like ur song.
If u've never been 2 a military funeral in a National Military Cemetery, I hope u never have 2. But if u have u would know why our military men & women deserve every American support & respect. They deserve 2 be honored & respected.
🙏🙏🙏🇺🇲
I have served with the Honor Guard at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly MI, and yes, it humbles you and reminds you of the sacrifices made by those that came before us. 🇺🇸
People need to remember this song forever, it is so true. My thanks for the millions of sacrifices to keep our home front safe.
Their bloodshed was never required for you to be free. That is a lie. You are a free man by Gods natural law. Constitution outlines this. Our freedom is not contingent on wether we go start illegal wars and act like world police.
Blown away! PERFECTION! Coming from someone who has sat in that chair. So a touching song. Job well done as always!
Straight goosebumps!!! 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
This is a powerful masterpiece. This is the only way to describe the song
I was not born or live under red white and blue but i was born on the 4th of July. Thank you to all services for keeping us safe love from Glasgow Scotland xxx
