  • In a hard-hitting interview, former law minister and senior advocate, Kapil Sibal, has accused the BJP of exploiting the electoral bonds scheme for their own gain. According to Sibal, the changes in company law and amendments to the Income Tax Act, as well as the Representation of the People Act, were all aimed at enabling the corporate sector to fund the BJP. #ElectoralBonds #BJP #KapilSibal #IndianPolitics #Transparency #CorruptionScandal #rajasthan #newstoaday

The solution by Kapil Sibal makes so much sense .... Let the EC of India collect funds from the corporates and distribute it among all the political parties in proportion to the number of seats they hold in LS ! .... What electoral bonds are doing at the moment is simply felicitating crony capitalism to take roots in our country ! .... I welcome the supreme court judgment on this .... Corporations will not like to fund Communists, Maoists and other anti Indian parties who want to destroy their industry, they will fund the parties they like through other channels, like cash.
Electoral bonds were designed to be anonymous just like anonymous voting.

If mr. Sibbal's solution is imposed, then the opposition will always be far behind.
Like suppose there is total donations of ₹543 crores, then BJP will get 303 crores and congress only 52 crores . This way the opposition will not be able to bounce back. Now 303/52 seems small but multiply it by 15 times. Now the calculations comes out to be BJP 4545 CRORES congress only 780 Crores.

funding to elections... corporations are not people.
Corporations putting pressure on employees to send money to preferred parties is also not a good thing..
Ditto for Churches and Islamic Religious Institutions. putting pressure on parishioners.
      3. Putting limits on Individual contributions .. will lead to " benami"
donors and funding from PACs ( Political Action Committees ) and Shell institutions. This cant be stopped easily. Transparency can lead to a better informed voter. Thus I lean towards Transparency.

Political funding is happening not just now in what ever manner its schemed out now, but this is happening over 70 years right from the first public election took place after 1947 independence. All these days why Sibal not approached the Court and argued in the court about corporate funding and illegality in it??? When this Electoral Bond scheme was passed in the parliament, he was very much there as the member of parliament and why he failed to put up all these points and struck down there itself? Importantly, why SC was keeping quite all these years when such schemes were passed without validating it and after 6 years why?

Sir, the supreme court judgment on electoral bond too late to be effective. This case was on transparency of electoral bond and prevention of black money influence on election. But since bjp hindutva and mandirs now have strong conection, so now on elections will be influenced by charity box of mandirs where anyone can donate black money in mandirs without any transparency.

As a common citizen Inwant ro know What is the purpose of this exercise?....is it to find what Ambani and Andani donated. if it is so the entire exercise is a waste. A rule could have been passed to disclose all the funds donated from the political parties... Universally every political party was getting donations.....Did Congress and communist parties not get a donation. Can Sibil say they were very transparent when they were in power all through their period......Did the Congress use their personal.funds for election and not ask any corporates? I am surprised why the judiciary is also spending time on this ....If all the political parties agree to be transparent why court?. Please make a committee and see that there is no black money involved when collected....Can the concerned parties put an end to this high drama.
