Max Meyers because they're a good Corp . They're not my personal favorite ( I'm a bluecoats fan ), but I do respect the talent each performer presents in dci. All performers in dci are world class in my opinion.
Max XM because they are the standard of excellence. Their leg shape is unmatched, they do incredibly hard shows and are always clean. Every other year or so, they get "Blue Devils Clean" which is unmatchable.
More than 2 years later, still in love with this book... no unnecessarily complex rudiments, just squeaky clean, super elegant playing and insane rounds
My school uses these as I am a quad player for my school, and yeah, 45lbs seems about right. We use the exact same model, deep shell and all, just different shell art.
I love how much the tenors are allowed to shine in their book
4:30 there’s the mello guy that RUNS and weaves through the Drumline as part of his drill
Imagine that one tuba player puts their tuba up too early and knock that poor mello tf out
Damn SCV must love Tenor scrapes, its ok I do too.
EOG "Tenor scrapes"
Max M Don’t worry he’s uneducated
Lmao “scrapes” no one calls them that anymore, also almsot every corp writes quad, sweep patterns, this feature just has a lot
I have always been a huge bluedevils fan but this show was so freaking good! You guys are insane!
AmazingCheetos whyyy does one like bluedevils
Max Meyers because they're a good Corp . They're not my personal favorite ( I'm a bluecoats fan ), but I do respect the talent each performer presents in dci. All performers in dci are world class in my opinion.
Max Meyers I agree
Max XM because they are the standard of excellence. Their leg shape is unmatched, they do incredibly hard shows and are always clean. Every other year or so, they get "Blue Devils Clean" which is unmatchable.
Best sounding quads I’ve ever heard. Period.
More than 2 years later, still in love with this book... no unnecessarily complex rudiments, just squeaky clean, super elegant playing and insane rounds
Man I love those tenor heads! What a sick show and an amazing performance! Absolutely world class.
That solo lick at 2:02 is smooth as F---!
those basses sound so clean
Camera mount doesn't want to be left out either. Taps along all show, in time. #donttapemebro
The writing for this show is so good. God bless
Would love to take lessons from Josh Hirner. Big fan of his playing
Hell yea! Great performance, execution, tuning - everything!
God damn I could listen to those drums all day, the tuning is so good!
The man is just so smooth, its so effortles looking
Can someone tell what heads are on the quads at 6:25 ? Can't tell if they're Evans or Ludwig.
I think they are some asian bootleg kind
Kyle Takata Remo?

F i n a l l y, s o m e o n e w h o u n d e r s t a n d s
Good trolls never break character ;)
the Remo logo on the drumheads are driving me crazy!
the zones are so impressive
How heavy are those quads? They sounds magical
Ethan Pierce Very, with cover and harness, about 45 lbs. no cover/harness 36
just like they should be. thats how they were originally popular ;D as far as being 5 drum tenors
Yeah Dynasty tenors are known for being really heavy. especially the deep shells
I think it's because of the metal piece where the individual drums are mounted.
My school uses these as I am a quad player for my school, and yeah, 45lbs seems about right. We use the exact same model, deep shell and all, just different shell art.
I'm going to be on this quadline in the future. I believe it
Melvin Tabb You better work towards it
juan botero I am! I'm doing everything I can👍🏾
Robert Koh That would be awesome! Are you trying out this year?
Robert Koh Aye same. I made quads this year as a sophomore and fell in love. Whats your show like?
I believe it too!!
10:55 oh maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan
yeah, crankin'!
I loved the blue devils show in 2017, but you guys, just blew it away. Also my favorite part of this is at 2:03
Mine is the ballad
this book was absolute insanity
That tenor(solo) lick at the 2:00 mark is nice.
Who duts in the beginning?
Bass 3 I believe
4:39 gives me chills every time
This writing is fucking nuts. The way y'all play so cleanly is nuts. I'm beyond impressed. 🥴
I love the duts at the very beginning
sick video man. do you have any trumpet cams?
I've got a small ensemble trumpet cam but no actual trumpet cams :(
Beautiful job with that book. I'm #Jonezin
What stick do y'all use because I've been wanting a pair i just cant seem to find them.
Innovative Percussion TS-PR, they're great I just got my pair & I love them
Anthony Cortese okay thank you so much
What is that rubber tip in back of the stick also what sticks are those?
Paul remnick tspr. Aka literally the best quad stick ever. The rubber is on the butt end of the stick
Yasss
Anyone know what sticks they're using
caleb resurreccion Innovative Percussion TS-PR
They're expensive, but very much worth it. They feel incredible
transcription?
Is that an 11-let spock roll at 4:17 or am I just crazy?
Garrett Churchey You're crazy
Any clue what the meter of that roll is then?
Garrett Churchey You’re correct, it’s an 11let roll.
Garrett Churchey in the transcription the whole lick is at 4:3 time
Ooooooomyyyygoodness
Crank

Ethan S-D hfkshwgsisjshckxidod

Still got one more!
Josh Hirner The Goat at SCV Quads 🤙🤙
I actually watched one of their practices for this show, since they were practicing at our district's middle school field. It was sick.

Sam Crandall xD
Bro those are the most aggressive dust I’ve ever heard at the beginning
Im pretty he’s dutting for almost the entire field, because they cant see the drum majors, you can hear it bery clearly in the finals recording.
