My boys are older now, and I just saw them on the NO FILTER TOUR, and I'm happy to report, they are STILL THE GREATEST ROCK & ROLL BAND IN THE HISTORY OF MUSIC.
Agreed! The No Filter Tour was one of the highlights of my life. Been a fan since the mid-70s & hadn't managed to see them. (Derp!) Seeing them live in my mid-50s made me feel like a fresh-faced teen again. It was soooo exciting!!!
Why is it that everyone parrots that cliche? Can't you at least TRY to state it using some original wording? Like, drop the "front man" term and refer to him as a lead singer?
Easily, The Stones and The Pistols are the ultimate rock bands in my opinion for polar opposite reasons, the Stones for the sheer weight of influence they had via an immense career that spanned decades and the Pistols for the huge influence they had over a very small time period. If there were no Stones or Pistols the history if rock would've looked and sounded much duller.
Exactly what I was thinking when I saw your post, and you do have to hand it to Jagger because for what he does' best he is one disciplined shit kicker!
This song ❤️ 🎵 💕 is another one of the stone's hidden gems 💎 ✨️ it's tucked away in the stone's vault. This song most definitely get more play time. They need to start going to their vault and start pulling up these tasty tunes.
@@rebeccawagner4167 But here they are playing it live on their '78 tour. Go figure? They probably don't include it today for reasons of age, and political correctness.
I remember when Bam Bam on WMMR played this song live and managed to ride the fader with perfection. It must have been a triple dog dare to play this on FM radio before 10pm watershed.
I grow up with the live riffs in Love You Live, Keith on the right speaker, Ronnie on the left... and Bill and Charlie driving it all. No doubts this was the best Ronnie's period to me (even if here it's Keith doing 90% of the guitar job)
Great song. Great show. I love the intimate shows that the Stones play than those large stadium ones. I would have loved to have been in Texas for this show. Classic Stones in true form.
Pure get down rocknroll, this song is so fucking good. I sang this one at karaoke one time and it's just impossible to match mick's energy. I don't think the uptight crowd there that night cared for the lyrics 🫨
starfucker really sticks out, I don't think it fits in with the album very well. I think the cover of Goats Head Soup sums up t he album pretty well, it's a kind of tired trudge through music they don't seem to want to make, like what would happen if someone told me to write an album that sounds like a stones record. None of the songs are bad, but a lot of them feel kind of lifeless. When you put it all together though, it becomes more than the sum of its parts. winter, coming down again, 100 years ago, and a few others are really good songs though.
me ol' Bill was some Rock&Roller. Never a blemish. Going unnoticed is the ultimate acknowledgement for a bass man. Big D is cool but Wyman is the O.G.⚡🎸⚡ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The chorus sounds like a filthy mantra- I love this song to death. Best song of the album. Btw -"Jimmy Page is all the rage and I can't see the reason why" - Jagger's ad-lib is hilarious, I makes me smile every time.
+caffeinejo However, Keef's little brother, Ron remains fully present when joining in with Mick's point, while Keef's away in what he does best - ripping it up. Never under-appreciate Little Brother!
where to begin? My ex-wife was a professional musician cello player. She was surrounded by musical script and playing scales. But loved The Stones. They are the doyens of rock n roll. She also could sing as a musician; MIck can sing but he hollers in a rock way. Cos this is rock. Try hearing him singing less rock-like on :Moonlight Mile, Beast of Burden, Fool to Cry, Memory Motel, Waiting for a Friend, Winter, Gimme Shelter, etc .
Best moment 1978: listening to Love You Live with headphones, singing along, probably reading Rolling Stone. Mom walks in and taps my shoulder "WHAT were you saying?" Me: *cricket sounds*. Mom: "That's disgusting...blah blah." me: "THAT's the album you bought me from my Christmas list." Mom exits my room
I love that album too , they are rampant especially side 4 is awesome !!! Having to explain it all to your Mum is making me laugh out loud ! just as well she did'nt find you doing anything else to it ! haha
Same thing happened to me while me and my brother were playing the white album by the beatles. Mom came by while they were singing "Why Don't We Do It in the Road". She paused and said "WHAT ARE THEY SAYING?!?!?!" My brother, thinking fast, said "They're talking about peeing" She said "THATS DISGUSTING!" but she went on downstairs to do the laundry.
That Keith Richards guitar solo was insane. Guy was really feelin it that night
He was really in good form that set.

The Rolling Stones

Chuck Berry written all over it
You gotta love the Stones. They don't just get into your face, they blast in it.
No way could The Stones ever be relegated to a studio band. They were born to perform live.
@@DDEENY The Rolling Stones
I see them as having a in your face whacked out on drugs kind of style which I find cringey
My boys are older now, and I just saw them on the NO FILTER TOUR, and I'm happy to report, they are STILL THE GREATEST ROCK & ROLL BAND IN THE HISTORY OF MUSIC.
Without a doubt! Saw them on the same tour in New Orleans. SOo killer!

Super to see them live. 🇩🇪👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Yes they are!!!
Well not quite led zeppelin are a shade? Better 😂💖
One of the best Rolling Stones live performance.
The Rolling Stones
This is my fav STONES song. Couldn't believe the "star fucker" chant. Truth right there for your ear. "Yes you are."
Exactly! The chorus sounds like a filthy mantra to me- I love this to death
This looks like the funnest song to perform live
No one has ever come close. The greatest EVER!
Charlie sounds great on this one!!! Might be the best live version of this song.
Spot on, Charlie is so spot on here it's almost scary
I just heard the remix of this album and the lyrical track on this song is easily the best I've ever heard. So clear and real ...quite amazing.
RIP🙏

And I like the way Keith blends back into the rhythm part after his solo.
Charlie is so in the zone. Just the best.
Charlie's good tonight.......(Crowd roars)

Best groove drummer in absolutely the greatest R&R band of all time. Killin' it here
Definitely the best front man in rock history hands-down
Why is it that everyone parrots that cliche? Can't you at least TRY to state it using some original wording? Like, drop the "front man" term and refer to him as a lead singer?
The Greatest Rock & Roll Band in the History of Music. My humble opinion remains unchanged.
No one else even comes close.

Duncan Garvey , too true. Mick is actually wearing a destroy t shirt in this footage too.
Steve Allen The Black Crowes would agree in all likelihood.
They always put on their best shows in TEXAS!!!!!! Yes yes. Long live the Stones!
I love the way he emphasizes the word;star' with that east coast New York/Boston swagger.
How the hell can an Englishman have east coast new York/Boston swagger
Charlie Watts is absolutely on fire back there!
The Stones really don't have a bad song, and this is just another one that proves it
The camera work on this is legendary...does the Stones proper justice.
Yes, wide pans to capture the entire band. No MTV style hyper jump cuts, but nice long shots. Great.
My eyes always on this one here ❣But my ears are open to the whole band ‼‼❣
This is why they’re called the greatest rock & roll band in the world.
Amen❤️
NO DOUBT
Exactly what I was thinking when I saw your post, and you do have to hand it to Jagger because for what he does' best he is one disciplined shit kicker!
Thing is ... they're not. Not even close. The Who live kicks their ass all over the stage.
