Thanks for the video Couple of things to people watching: Ensure you buy the right impeller removal tool for your model, the GTI, GTX, RSPX, TRIXX all have different size impeller tool. Also, one step not shown to remove the wear ring, there are 2 small set screws, one on each side that need to be removed before attempting to remove the wear ring. Eveything else seems pretty spot on.
I was quoted £600 to change and supply the impeller / wear ring. I think that's a bargain now! Even after your great video, I'm still not brave enough!
It's easy once you have the impeller tool. Just put the whole thing in the freezer for an hour, and the ring just about falls out, no chiseling . And freeze the new ring, and it will fall in with just your hands. I change mine once a year just about when I see too many scratches. Try to use OEM, aftermarket rings are crap, I've tried many different ones. Also I've tried Solas impellers, and it tore up my new wear ring, in one ride. They are cheap China junk anyway. The stock impellers don't look as pretty, but they're pitched correctly, and work great with oem wear rings.
Great video! I have to change out the impeller boot; do you need to remove the rear ‘cone’ assembly and housing or can you just get access to the boot, replace and reassemble? TIA!
I take it off. I don't have a press. So, I place it on the ground after the ring is frozen with a lot of cardboard and take a 2"x4" and bang it on with a rubber mallet.
@@brooksbohmbach1 that’s not right they should have fixed it for free then they were charging $600 to do it and for the diagnosis and they said that’s a wear item
Great video Man! In you opinion so you think having a wear ring as a wearable item (where it can take the beating of foreign objects) is a good engineering design ?
If you turn the engine off in waist deep water you won't suck up dirt, sand and rocks that tear up your impeller. I use an anchor with a buoy so I don't beach my skis.
Thanks for the video

Is the set screw for all models? I do not see any on my 2021 GTI SE 130

You can do it :)
Hey, if you stop the music, I'll subscribe!
agreed the music is terrible. Just narrate
What socket size you using?
What size wear ring did you install? I have a 2019 gtx and I'm trying to find the diameter of the wear ring in mm. Thanks
Dont you torque the jet pump bolts?

What 1/4 impact adapter are you using. 3/8 or 1/2
why would you put that old beat up impeller back in the pump?
Thank you. I thought I was going crazy. He did put that beat up impeller with all that work
Wonderful video...thanks
How did you adjust and remove the hood, before the video starts
Just with the trim adjustment on the main controls.
or just put it in reverse depending on the model
Did you torque the prop down to spec or just tighten as best you coudl
I believe it was around 60lbs
@@wrecklesswraps okay just was curious. my GTX says torque is 92 ft lbs and it seems like way to much
Great Video!! Thank you!
im an apprentice seadoo technician and ive got troubles aligning the shaft to the jetpump, any simple way of getting in easily? :(
Take a screwdriver and rotate the impeller as you push the impeller back onto the shaft.
Where did you get the impeller and wear ring
I got this one from the local dealer
Perfekt danke
Is that a 1/4 inch. Impact your using?
yep it is
what are the torque specs. I need to pull the jet to get a rock out myself but I can't find torque specs anywhere
good question, would love to know as well
@paulocampos6052 All bolts are 18 foot pounds except the impeller, which I believe is alot more.
Excellent video, only suggestion , no music and more talking. Torque specs would be helpful but great job! And thanks
All the bolts for the pump, steering nozzle, and IBR gate are 18 foot pounds. The impeller torque I do not know.
I need one for my 2021 gti de 130
Everyone does. The 2021’s are extremely defective from an engineering standpoint
