If you’re on an older Fujifilm camera that may not have certain settings, (eterna bleach bypass, clarity, classic neg) then try these settings with the simulations you have. You’ll be able to get pretty close. Also, I’m going to be turning this into a series, so if there are any recipes y’all think I should check out feel free to drop them 🤙
Hi! People don't realise what a masterpiece this video is. From the 1st part it's so bright and sunny, full of life with vibrantly coloured (like before the pandemic). Just after that it all turned a lightless, cold environment which has sucked out all the life, the still cityscapes, moving objects devoid of life(after pandemic).... brilliant background score ...❤️ed it. Love from India. Hope to learn a lot from you.
I like that you shoot for the recipes' strenghts so well, which is especially evident in your b/w shots. It's not just 'shoot at night, duh' but framing layers of luminosity to create interesting scenes.
Just bought my first camera ever and went for the Fuji X-T2 to save some money while I learn. One reason why I chose this over the Nikon Z5 is the small size and specially the colors. The colors I see in this video are to drool for. Thank you so much for putting this together. I cannot wait to try these on in my own photography. You earned a subscriber! I wish you get more followers soon because you deserve it :)
Hey! I'm very happy to find your channel and grateful for the videos you are making. I wander around my city (Kharkiv, Ukraine) at night from time to time with my x-t4 and the style of your photos is something that matches my own mood and the mood I would like to share with photos too. So thank you for this breath of inspiration, the recipes you are sharing, the halo effect, the music... All this resonated in me and made me enthusiastic about creating such things too. You rock!
The recipe for Kodak Tri-X 400 has become my go-to black and white setting. The results are gorgeous. I almost always pick it whenever I decide to go on a monochrome photo walk.
Man, you almost made me cry with your video. Pure Art. Please keep going, you just made my day and you definitely will add into people's life. Congrats
@serr You have B&W covered, Kodak TRI-X 400 from FujiXWeekly is a great base to start with. From memory, I use Acros+G for people, with Highlights +1 and Shadow +4 and no grain because Acros adds grain based on your ISO setting, so shoot at 1600-3200 for nice grain. I have yet to try XPRO' 62, I have a Haida 1/4 Black Mist filter on order for that experiment. For general colour I shoot Kodachrome 64 also from FujiXWeekly, the newer X-Trans IV recipe. I find that the popular Porta recipes from there have too much of a green tint for my liking.
Didn’t know that about acros! Thank you for always spreading your wisdom on here Fred. I’m sure a lot of people including myself benefit from it greatly 🤝
Wow you released this on my birthday while I was looking for new film recipes :) thank you, also your work is beautiful, has a big nostalgic feel to it.
This vid is very essential to all fuji shooters, showing something that fuji can do but others brand cam cant. The great way to maximize your fuji gear’s abilities 👍👍
I absolutely love your videos. The storytelling with the always amazing music choices and visuals, really makes me feel relaxed and calm. Keep doing what you're doing dude!
Really loved the content :D I own a Fujifilm X-T3 and once I knew about these film recipes, I stopped shooting RAW and chose JPEG instead. The photos straight out of the camera are AMAZING!! Keep it up brother :)
Standout video, love the vibe, match of sound to imagery, and the way you parse the journey from bright carnival days to dark and somber night shots....smart stuff
Stopped shooting RAW a few years ago. I now only shoot with a 35mm lens and film simulation. It has made me a better photographer, and I very, very rarely need to edit. But then that's just me.
Dude, this video with the music, damn. You nailed creating a feeling with each song and the look of the film recipe. And of course the photos all served the recipes well.
hello, i have an x-t4 and i would like to know how you did it for the videos ?? being that the options are different, for video there is no option to add color or Color chrome effect etc ... thanks!
@@serr Yeh if you want a new idea for a video, I dunno if it's easy to show how you might in Resolve do what you do to make it look like some of the filmsims.
Great music, great clips that go perfectly with the music! The Lomography clip reminded me of an old German setting and reminded me of east Berlin. Subbed and can’t wait for more content! Please keep it up!
Bro, can you please make more videos? Don’t care about what, but as long as they’re authentically you, then it will be good. Love your vibe and feel. Massive inspiration ✌️
This is the first video of yours that i have ever watched but it is soooo good! You have some cinematic feel to your photos and i really love it! Happy to found you and keep up the good work! P.S. love the music in the video too
Amazing vid, don't get me wrong, I love your commentaries in your content, I do, but this was fresh man, such a great short film of shots in such different environments, with a beautiful soundtrack.
I hear MuseCam - Photo Editor for iPhone has film recipes options that you can insert with text and when you press the shutter button on your iPhone, you will have all the best Fujifilm and Kodak film Simulations coming out of your iPhone, works the same way that the Fujifilm X Series Cameras do.
Man, these are insane! I love the Summer and Tri-X sets of photos! Definitely gonna be trying these myself. Did you use one of your diffusion filters for these? The highlights look gorgeous!
Love the first recipe ( Summer ). What are the numbers for Color and Noise Reduction ? That font is so difficult to read. Is it -4 ? The other recipes are not so much my liking. 🤷🏼♂️
Hello serr, love your video! I’ve use my xpro3 for 2 years but after your video… I think I just own a new camera. I’m wondering what is Clarity used for? -4 means de- clear the image so make it blurry and glow some how, or for other reasons
Perfect music choices for each simulation preset. The mood switches were fabulous. Just watched your diffusion filter comparison video. Which filters were used on the tri-x simulation ?
Hi serr quick question. I loved the first recipe "summer" and I was wondering if those colors from the video footage of the amusement park was straight out of camera with recipe or if u also color graded as well?
"Lomochrome metropolis" also known as "colors of Poland"
What will happen if you shoot Lomochrome Metropolis IN Poland?

I actually love lomochrome metropolis, sadly it doesn’t work on the Fuji X100V because It doesn’t have etherna bleach bypass 😑

The more photos I take, the more convinced I become that less-than-perfect makes for a more pleasing shot
My thoughts exactly 👌🏻

I think Cartier Bresson would have agreed with you, considering that he said “Sharpness is a bourgeois concept."
Absolutely right
