I bought a PS4 slim rather than the PS4 Pro because I didn't own a 4K TV and I thought it was a waste of money but a week later my parents bought a 4k TV. 🙃

It's nothing compared to the 80GB Motorstorm PS3. That thing you can hear on the other side of a house. My superslim PS3 is really quiet and my PS4 is quiet, nothing anywhere near as loud as the Motorstorm PS3.
Do we have any specific date as to when it's supposed to be released in 2020? A price? Or are we just gonna have to guess based off of other PS releases and prices during launch?
The PS4 slim is really good Got rid of the glossy part Better internet connection so you don't need a Ethernet Doesn't take much power More quiet And the pro is $400 and the slim is $300 (it doesn't need 4k because to me 4k is just a money scheme) And it's slim so you can put it in a book bag and it won't take up too much space So for $300 totally worth it
As someone that has moved on to the PS5 as of a few weeks ago, I was impressed by how solid the PS4 slim was. I got a 1TB Slim for $200 on Black Friday 2017 and it held up nice, although it started making creaking sounds towards the end. If you can find one for cheap and are still waiting for a PS5, getting the slim is a solid choice now especially with how cheap most PS4 games are on the used market now.
The only reason you should get a PS4 slim/pro is if you have a PS3 or an X-Box 360. But if you have a XBox One or the original PS4, not worth it. I have a PS4 original so yeah, I'm waiting for a true PS5.
I would recommend switching to xbox this time around sony really fucking with the fans this time, imo xobx might take the lead in new 4k* consoles. but time will tell.

eh I have a rig setup 7.5 surround sound the hdmi goes through my tv and the audio on that goes through my pc-to my sound system. the sound still works on it as it should. may not be an option for people whose tv isnt also their monitors.
Well unless your AV receiver is like ten years old or if you don't have a receiver (though I dunno why you wouldn't have one if you have a decent audio setup), it should have audio over HDMI so the lack of optical isn't a big deal.
I think currently for PC it would run you around 1500 canadian (where I live). My PC is equipped with a 960 with three monitors. It works but you have to tone stuff down. Anyways.. something like a 1070 or 1080 will fix all the issues I have with resolution. Like you said it's not going to happen on console, because it's not very common on PC right now.

I got my PS4 Slim last month. After its first 5 days of life with me, I upgraded its hard drive to 1 TB SSD. I installed cooling fan on the back of it, and longer load times becomes a thing in the past. It's worth buying it for me.

Tarun Ashoka PS4s have a tendancy to turn into jet engines 😂 Took mine about 9 months, then again I have 3 dogs and a cat, so there’s a ton of dust accumulation in my home.
ps4 was pretty good. Served me pretty well for a few years and had no major issues at the end when I got a PC. Only problem now is that when i go back to ps4 I immediately realise how slow it was

There is frame rate and graphical improvements on 1080p as well it's been noted that players in certain games will be at a disadvantage like bf1 sue to the ps4 pro rendering the game at a higher fps. Games will run better and the system as a whole is more smother and has faster load times.

eh I have a rig setup 7.5 surround sound the hdmi goes through my tv and the audio on that goes through my pc-to my sound system. the sound still works on it as it should. may not be an option for people whose tv isnt also their monitors.
Well unless your AV receiver is like ten years old or if you don't have a receiver (though I dunno why you wouldn't have one if you have a decent audio setup), it should have audio over HDMI so the lack of optical isn't a big deal.
that's actually not quite true. Hi-Fi audio rarely uses optical because the double conversion that takes place at the ends is not loss-less.

I think currently for PC it would run you around 1500 canadian (where I live). My PC is equipped with a 960 with three monitors. It works but you have to tone stuff down. Anyways.. something like a 1070 or 1080 will fix all the issues I have with resolution. Like you said it's not going to happen on console, because it's not very common on PC right now.

I got my PS4 Slim last month. After its first 5 days of life with me, I upgraded its hard drive to 1 TB SSD. I installed cooling fan on the back of it, and longer load times becomes a thing in the past. It's worth buying it for me.

I'm glad I was able to buy PS4 Slim when people were surprised not to buy PS5 so soon. That was the time last year when PS4 were about to become out of stock. Accessories and game disks are things we can buy except for the hard to find game consoles nowadays.
@@johneduardoctavianoiv9749 same scarcity situation here in india, top that with scalping. as a rule of thumb, i avoid launch products. slim's are portable like a laptop plus more stable hardware, easy cheap reapairs and cheaper games(got HZD for free). i think ps4 will easily last for 4-5 years for me. till then we might see a ps5 slim which doesn't looks like a dubai building, and more stable.
trust me this video game console is totally worth the money i saved my money till the new god of war release,then i bought the ps4 slim with the 3 games bundle(TLoU,HZD,R&C)then God of War 3 R and God of War(2018) and after 1 week of use i said to myself :"Oh boy,you did great buying this bad boy."

It definitely is worth it. I don’t use my PS4 slim anymore since I managed to pre order and get a PS5, but I used it for around 3 and a half years and it definitely was worth it.

ps4 was pretty good. Served me pretty well for a few years and had no major issues at the end when I got a PC. Only problem now is that when i go back to ps4 I immediately realise how slow it was

There is frame rate and graphical improvements on 1080p as well it's been noted that players in certain games will be at a disadvantage like bf1 sue to the ps4 pro rendering the game at a higher fps. Games will run better and the system as a whole is more smother and has faster load times.
