Fords such as this one exist as the building next to the ford is an old mill. They would drain the lake through a shaft and across the road into the fields. The mill has a paddle wheel inside. This only floods when there is massive rainfall further along the waterway. I would do a feature on it but not sure how many people really want to see it. Let me help explain. This is a historical site and is a Ford. The people you see driving through are driving through a closed road. They are ignoring the road closed signs, the warning signs and the obvious giant puddle of water across the road compete with depth markers. All of these people allegedly have a drivers licence so will be aware of the road signs and their meanings. Insurance companies don’t pay out when you deliberately drive through road closed signs and drown your car. There is an alternative route that takes approx 10 mins.
