This place seemed so tranquil at the start, with cars cautiously splashing through the ford and the sound of birds tweeting in the trees. Then the algorithm got hold of it and before you know it - crowds of idiots, screeching kids, police, douchebags showing off - chaos pretty much. The vibe got flipped totally. I kinda preferred it before. Oh well, now no one can enjoy it.

Absolutely! The guy in the white Amarok is 8 yrs old ffs. It’s costing me time and money to take the long route now and the short cut round the Ford there’s suddenly a sign up saying no through road? Residents must have complained about the sudden increase in traffic on their road all due to idiots driving too fast mainly and risking life.
It's not even the kids that's just bad parenting they need to tell them to shut the fu*k up 😂 my kid won't act up like that and would never shout out something stupid to random ppl got to raise them right or don't have kids at all

That’s why it should remain closed. Yeah, I’m sure it is fun for the drivers and spectators, but for the locals it must have been horrible. How disruptive and miserable listening to this every time it rains, having no parking, & having to avoid walking outside of your own home must it have been. Glad for their sake it’s been closed.
yeah you show something good to a wide audience and it always ends up getting ruined, sometimes gatekeeping is the correct thing to do. Maybe they could make the situation better by putting a low speed limit there and a set of average speed cameras, the village would profit of that and it might pressure people into not behaving like idiots.
That's why you never tell anyone where the fun spots are. Too many people find out and they always get ruined. This would happen back in the day with good racing spots and before the internet made it famous

Give 'em a place to do that, for free, and they mostly won't do it on road any more.

Probably most of people there don't know that there is a nearby WASTE WATER Treatment facility on the other side of A614 which I'm pretty sure they discharged the process water to River Muan which is connected to Rainworth Water River that passes through that bridge into Rufford Lake.

great video. I have something like this near me and it's great to watch. sometimes cars and lorries will make huge splashes and sometimes cars will repeatedly go through for everyone. It's great fun and it's only a mile away from me. 10 min walk
