Thanks a lot! Maybe a couple of hours, though I was in no hurry, I installed by myself, though if I had a hand it would have wayyy quicker.but I was just cruising and drinking a couple of beers at the time
Hey mate.. awesome set up. Where'd you get the usb port? I've been looking for one but can only find the 12V cigarette lighter style (which I have no use for and don't like the idea of having to stick an adaptor in there) thanks. Also, genius idea about the bungee cord... off to Bunnings I go!
Really like the exhaust and want to fit one to my 2022 model. What year is your exhaust? Any problems fitting it. Keep the content coming. Cheers Russ👍
Where do you get those mounting brackets for the LightForce LEDs? I have bought similar LEDs and want to mount them to my crashbar like you did, but I haven't found any mounting brackets similar to yours, which look sturdy and easy to adjust.
I got them from eBay, look up “bullbar mounting bracket 25” There are some really nice sw motech or Outback motortek ones out there that I’ve seen which are smaller and look more sleek, these ones are quite chunky, I like them but they work quite well
Thanks a lot Christopher! It is a great adventure bike that is 100% for sure. A lot of the stuff I bought secondhand off Facebook and Gumtree and I also had, so I didn’t end up spending as much as well. It could cost me, but probably an extra couple of thousand dollars in the end. I already had the lights, phone charger, and the barkbusters off my last bike, so that was good. I bought the arrow exhaust in the tires second hand, so I paid about 50% off retail for them, which was a great score the front screen I bought off marketplace and got that cheap as it was also secondhand. I bought the luggage racks, the skid plate, and the engine bars all brand new and that was probably over $1000 total.
Thanks, personally I can’t tell the difference in regards to the glare as I’ve set the display brightness to the highest and it works great. Yes I really do like the look of the smaller black screen too!!
Thanks for your video! A question: what kind of saddlebag support brackets are you using? It looks like you've made them by yourself. Do you like them? Could you explain what they are made of and how they are attached to the bike?
Thank you! The support brackets I’m using are just bungee cords, and I wrap from one pillion foot peg bracket, over the rear guard and back to the other, I find it works pretty well. I ustrap them together on trips so they don’t bounce around like elephant ears.. work pretty well I feel, and a cheap solution.
Thanks a lot! I’ve never really noticed excess vibration I thought I had a little bit but then it wasn’t too bad, and it’s a motorbike, So it’s got to vibrate to some amount so I’m not too really concerned, I put some grip puppies on to the handlebars and they are a nice foam cover and they seem to also take a little bit of extra movement out
Hi. The bike looks really good with all the mods, I’ve a 2019 model and have been trying to locate here in the UK a decent skid plate( belly pan) could you please tell the make of your one and where you purchased it. Many thanks & safe riding 😊👍
Hi Andy thank you very much, mine is an SRC Moto, I’m not sure if you have them in the UK but another really good brand is rally raid, De equipment is almost indestructible you can look them up on TH-cam
Nice bike. Im off to Thailand next month and this is the bike I want to buy or rent. Seems like you got lots of extras, but how is the bike straight from the dealership?
Thanks a lot!!! It’s great straight out of the dealership, though I was looking to up spec it a little for more off-road and intense riding.. great bikes and being a Honda, super reliable!!!
Nice effort. I have the same model and colour. Like the way you've used the rubber strap to keep the panniers away from the body. What length strap did you use? The only disappointment with the bike is the windshield and helmet buffeting. I put a tall Givi on it - no difference and have trimmed it back a length of 340mm - somewhat better. How long it the windshield you have on and where did you get it? Cheers.
Hi Keith! I’m yet to do a pillion ride with on my 500x, though I have added the luggage, and it’s been fine, and I haven’t ridden the 750x yet.. if I was going to a lot of two up, I’d prob look at the 750, but, it only has the 17” wheels, so it’s off road capabilities are a bit less. There is a site called bike ergo where you select the bike and your heights, and it shows a diagram.. On my last bike (VFR800x) my wife and I did a test ride to see how comfortable she was..
@@hondaexplorer Rubber screws? The screws from the new bike could not be used? Where /how did you get the rubber screws? Do you mean the grommets? I have been thinking of getting an earlier, shorter screen but “was told?” that it wouldn’t work. Obviously you got it to fit. Tell me more about your experience if you would please Thanks
@@warrentwood I’ve really found that. It looks so much better with that smaller screen on it, I have ridden the bike a couple of times in the last year or so with the full screen on long trips, and sometimes I think it looks weird ha ha ha super happy that you get to do something that you thought you weren’t able to do.🤘
And please elaborate on the exhaust. Why did you change to it? Does it give an extra hp or two? And is it worth remapping the engine,? if that is accessible here.
@@hondaexplorer hypothetically speaking you have of course 😎. I’d be interested to know with the 2022 model, new injection etc, and you new exhaust, what gains are possible without ruining the fuel economy.
Looks good and sounds even better.
Thanks a lot!
looks really cool, like it came out of a Mad Max movie, love the black short wind screen
Thanks a lot! I really love the short screen, makes the look so different, almost
Enduro style 🙌🙌🙌
Finally find a cb500x with short windscreen 🔥🔥
It’s off a 2014 model and I painted black
It does look awesome doesn’t it 🔥🔥🔥
Great video mate 👍🏻I've had my 22 cb500x for a couple months and love it. Thanks for listing the mods. Been hard finding ones that fit
Thanks a lot!
Parabéns 🚀. Ótimas escolhas.
Great modifications on your bike ! Looks very cool also the windscreen 💯👍
Thanks Nico! Screen is from a 2014 CB500X, painted black. ✌️👌
Giving you BIG Kudos for the nice video--thanks! Your mods look great--really liking the crash bars. Was it hard to install? Did it take long?

I got it from auto barn or super cheap. I think it’s just a NARVA one. I don’t know if I have the part number but I can have a look.
Omg I want this bike with all your mods. Jealousy is soo sad but true
Thanks Jon! Really appreciate it!
Awesome bike! Where did you find that rear strap hooked to the passenger foot pegs?
Thanks, I just got it from my local hardware store
Cool off road bike 👌 I like that windscreen
Thanks 👍it’s off an early model which I painted black for that more enduro look
Looks awesome in black.
Thanks!
Looks amazing, great detail 💯👍

What radiator guard are you using in this video, do you have a link?
Hi there! It’s from eBay, it’s for cb500, I think maybe modified it a little
Sir...what's d brand name for d headlight protector? Yours was nicely done. Pls advice. Many thanks.
I just updated the description with the link for the headlight protector
I love the windscreen swap, does it help with glare on the instrument screen or other screens?

Hi Craig I bought it with the matte black color.
Did the mounting points of the 2014 screen match with the bracket of the 2022/23?
It’s pretty close, it wasn’t perfect to start but the rubber screws move enough for it for really well and not look out of place at all!
