I cant believe that people still put down "man flu". This is a very serious condition and should not be mocked. Apart from that, nice to see you still with us!
I once had two people who were fishing together set up either side of me, we were the only 3 people on the beach, kept walking behind me with their stupidly bright head torches, had two bass before they turned up
Delightful little session. Those dogs are fire right now, a friend and I had over 30 over at Hayling this week. You wonder if anything else might actually find your bait. Cracking watch, keep em coming please.
Blimey! That is a serious dog infestation! I was convinced there were more rays there, but they didn't stand a chance at the bait with all the dogs and whiting on the feed!
🤣🤣 It be true, we're all soft down here. We're lucky to have modern miracles that haven't made it up Norf yet, hot and cold running water for example, but these things have softened us no end.
know what you mean about the guys moving in next to you, twice now sat down Iford and no one else fishing either bank and some guy comes along and sits virtually opposite me cast out and then get his mobile out and starts calling his mates. Why its supposed to be a relaxing and quite sport.
That's just plain ignorant! Sorry to hear that. To be fair, these guys were no where near as bad as that, I just couldn't figure out why you'd want to walk somewhere to fish next to the only guy on the beach!
Smorgasbord! Now there is a first for any fishing video and I have watched a fair few Danish/scando sea Trout & Hornfisk stuff. Blinis next ??🤔 Another enjoyable video, cheers
Beaches are like car parks you can park right in the middle 100s of spaces around and someone has to park right beside you driver side so tight you have problems opening your door people cant help themselves they have to do it
Those tiny doggies seem to be everywhere, I had a session in the Solent a couple of weeks ago and had them. Bad news for me though, now need a shoulder op. Might be back on the beach for whiting season!
They are wonderful things. I kept a native marine tank for a number of years, the tompot I had was the star of the show. He was like a big dumb loveable dog! Always wanted attention and ate everything! Including snakelocks anemones interestingly!
I fear it's all women. They have a united front against us. They bang on about trivial things like child birth. I mean, come on, as if that even gets close.
I’ve recently switched over to using a circle hook for my top pennel hook and found all the fish ive caught has taken the top hook making unhooking super easy, do you find this?
Hi Paul. I tend to use anything between 0.25 and 0.28 for 90% of my fishing. Its plenty strong enough to cope with decent fish and tide, but thin enough to cast really well. I will drop down to 0.20 for things like long range plaice fishing, or light summer stuff. My go to lines at the moment are the Tronixpro Blaze in 0.25, Fox Exocet Orange in 0.26 and the Asso Tapered Line in 0.26 for when I want the distance marker colour bands.
And I complained about losing have my blood through a burst vein in my stomach! When I could have had man flu..how could you ever get man flu wearing that hat 😂 !

There needs to be greater awareness of man flu. It's serious!
Blimey, just two weeks after man-flu and you're out fishing! Hero!
I am awaiting my knighthood.

Oh mate! I think I'd have had to say something! That's just plain rude!
Nice little session tom good luck with the species challenge 👍
Thank you David.

I know right! I'm dab fishing with size 4s and worm baits tonight, please no dogs 🙏
Good luck mate! That's a species I wish we had more of on my local beaches.
Nice little session Tom, all the best from G.Y
Hey Carl. Hope you're keeping well mate. Thanks for watching as always.
nice one Tom. nice little session mate,
Thanks mate 😁
Southern softie no more than a sniffle!! Look forward to following your species hunt!! Good work matey 🎣🎣🎣🐟🐠🐡🦈

It's such a cool word! Glad you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching and commenting as always 😀

🤣🤣 So true!
An enjoyable session. I keep a record list for my boat. Although I fish around Portland, all my boats records have been caught in Weymouth bay.
I bet your species list is impressive? We have such amazing diversity down here.
@christchurchanglingcentre5428 I use to fish species comps. Weymouth Bay is an amazing place for species
Absolutely. I've a few photos in the shop of red band fish caught from there. Amazing creatures!
@@FishyTom I was pretty good at catching red bands. They reduced the points in comps on the strength of that
That seems a little unfair! I'd have thought a species like that would carry maximum points!

Oh mate, that's bad news 😕
I hope you get back up and running ASAP! Plenty of rig tying time though!
This is true! Maybe I’ll learn to love LRF, like you I do like a tompot

From a species hunter, that's good going with 28 species. I'm over the moon if i catch 20 different species a year!
Thank you mate. To be fair I live in a very lucky place when it comes to species. We're spoilt for choice.
@@FishyTom and at the risk of sounding like an arse kisser, a much better angler. 😂
😅😅
You kiss away sir 😘
We all love a good ego boost.
@@FishyTom 🤣🤣🤣
Great Video mate as usual 😊 any sign of verets yet ?
Thanks John. I did get a message from Veret last week, my order is in production 😁😁 not long now.
Man flu 🤒🤧😷 I guess it was touch & go, good to see you survived. Hope Abby was mopping your brow & seeing to your needs 🚑
You know what, she wouldn't even carry me to the toilet or fan me down with palm fronds. I honestly wonder why I got married in the first place.
That's shocking Tom, I thought it was just my wife that didn't understand the severity of man flu.
I fear it's all women. They have a united front against us. They bang on about trivial things like child birth. I mean, come on, as if that even gets close.
I hear you, but I fear your gentleman's dangly bits are in danger should your wife get to read that! RIP Tom's dangly bits 🥴
🤣🤣🤣
I’ve recently switched over to using a circle hook for my top pennel hook and found all the fish ive caught has taken the top hook making unhooking super easy, do you find this?
Absolutely mate. Probably one of the best things I started doing. Have you tried dongles too?
@@FishyTom i have but had no luck with them so i lost confidence in using them
@@FishyTom i thought i replied 🤔 i have tried a dongle rig but had no luck on it so lost faith in using it
Tom what line do you use in whch diameter for specific species

Plaice and Dogs here.
I've yet to have a bash at the plaice this year. Hopefully over the next few weeks though.
YTPB bass coming this year from the gutter mate. You heard it here first 👌🙌
I bloody hope so mate! I'm currently gutter fishing as we speak! Not for bass though...
They probably hoped to be on someone's TH-cam channel
🤣🤣 Well, they just about made it into the background!
Man Flu is worse than Bird Flu; take care.
It's worse than everything! Thank you for understanding. I'm lucky to have pulled through.
And I complained about losing have my blood through a burst vein in my stomach! When I could have had man flu..how could you ever get man flu wearing that hat 😂 !
Count yourself lucky young man!
great video Tom Tight Knickers
Thanks matey.
You got me. Damned clickbait 😂
🤣🤣🤣
What do you mean? It was blooming touch and go mate! Lucky to be alive.
@@FishyTom I think it was the magic powers of the pink hat that saved you 😂
Oh 100% mate!
