To say I am obsessed with fishing would be an understatement!
I fish every week, of every month and in every type of water. I am lucky enough to live on the south coast where the diversity of fishing is endless, as you will see in my videos.
I hope you enjoy the videos, they are aimed at being fun and lighthearted, but with a healthy dose of tips and tricks along the way to hopefully help you catch fish too!

My Best Session on Southbourne for AGES!
The conditions dropped PERFECTLY for a quick after work session on Southbourne Beach. 3 different species of rays, some cracking sole and a few other bits provided great sport all night,

Chesil Beach in a storm! Loads of fish and loads of fun!
มุมมอง 6K14 วันที่ผ่านมา
A rare trip for Darren and I to a mid-chesil mark. The wind was far stronger than we'd hoped, and we had to endure a horrendous rain storm, but the fishing was great. Cod, bream, mackerel, bass, pout, congers, a lost beast from the deep and even a tuna put in an appearnce! christchurchanglingcentre.co.uk/ #fishing #beachfishing #cod #mackerel #bassfishing #tuna

How (NOT) to Keep Ragworm Alive
มุมมอง 3.3Kหลายเดือนก่อน
A short video on how (not) to keep ragworm alive! Far too many people keep their worms with ice packs or with their frozen baits, sadly this is a sure fire way of killing them quickly, as this demonstration shows. If you need to keep your worms overnight, put them in a tray on a cool garage or shed floor. The Shore Hunter himself, Mr Wayne Hand, puts in a guest appearance too!

Great session there buddy, I'm constantly looking at that stretch from across the water, and always wanted to give it a go. Went out this morning doing very much the same, fished for 3ish hours, had a stack of bream, biggest was 2lb 7oz, was really chuffed, until 2hrs in, I realised I wasn't recording 🤣🤣. Thanks again for the tips mate. Alll the best
Great watch thanks Tom top angling 😊
You make my day 🤣🤣, great angler (well not too bad) 😂.
Ha! Too kind!
A good nights fishing is a great excuse to be late for work. Well done.
This is true! Fishing is more important than work.
Belter again pal, defo coming down that end next autumn!! Will be in touch nearer the time for recommendations on a tidy tackle shop near by!!
No decent shops around here, sadly.
@@christchurchanglingcentre5428 😂😂🤣😂🤣😂
That wouldn't explain where I keep sending my wages!!
🤣🤣
Awesome video again mate 🎣 👍🏻
Thanks, as always mate 😊
How did you miss that wrap around…. Is your name Wayne….. 😎😜
I honestly don't know! That was mad! Spent about 10 minutes inspecting my hooks afterwards trying to find an excuse! All seemed fine! Maybe it was a mermaid pulling on my line.
Hadir mantap spot nya luar biasa bos ku seaht selalu 👍 sukses selalu bos ku 👍❤❤❤❤😂
Thank you. I am always happy when I am fishing 😁
What a great session! I may have to make a trip down to Southbourne! Are there any particular tides which fish better there? Cheers!
Definitely wet ones 😝 In all seriounsness, conditions are far more important than the actual tide times on Southbourne. This week has been perfect, bit of a blow last week, new moon, mid sized tide (I know, I just said that didn't matter! lol) etc etc. Evenings always out fish day sessions too. We fished a club match last night and it was even better than this session. Best Small Eyed went 9lb 1oz, best sole 1lb 5oz (neither mine, I must add!).
@@christchurchanglingcentre5428 Great, thanks for such a detailed reply! Look forward to venturing down that way in the future!
Well done mate 3 species of ray well done!!! Nice to see some sole too!!! All the best cheers Ian
I managed a small undulate last night too. 4 species in two sessions. Lovely jubbly!
@@christchurchanglingcentre5428 You’re on fire mate!!!! Love an undulate ray!!!!🎣👍
It was only a baby, but a beautiful fish nonetheless.
Great video Tom what tip light's are you using please.
Those are just the little chemical clip on ones. I'm not a tip light fan, only use them whilst filming to try a improve the bite viz on camera.
Have you fished poole quay? I was there with my feeder rods and and some wrass a big bream And a small bass tho some kid next to me had a good eating size bass that i had to net as he didn't have 1 Nice relaxing video 🎉
fantastic session, mate. Well done. Not a venue I fish much myself, I prefer the more secluded beaches away from people!
Fair point I was offered an alcoholic drink ? Im 13?!@christchurchanglingcentre5428 To busy for me to but it was my first time sea fishing
Those congers have no place being on a beach like Southbourne!
It's crazy hey! They're everywhere! Not a bit of rough ground to be found there!
Hi Tom great vid with comedy value. I also have neglected South Bourne this year, I usually travel up from lee on Solent for a session and fish near Warren edge. Don't know the area that well but without giving away any secret marks where did you fish and what time was high tide. Thank you.
No secrets to my fishing mate, so you're always welcome to ask. This session was about 6 or 7 bays west of the bistro slope. There's a zigzag called Gordon's Zig Zag, but it's a killer walk back up! To be honest Warren's Edge, Gordon's, Fisherman's Walk, Portman Ravine and Manor Steps are all very similar, and areas I frequent. I'm happy to do any of those. I don't worry too much about tide times, in fact I don't actually know what it was when we fished, I just don't bother looking. I know the conditions were perfect, so I knew I'd catch. That's more importnant along that bay than tide times.
@@christchurchanglingcentre5428 Thank you, looking ahead to next weekend we have a blow all week the dry and winds swing to to he north, if it stays like that I will give it ago at Gordon's slope. Thank you. Tite lines. Simon.
A class in your own mate. A real treat. Top man god bless
Thank you. Too kind 😇
Beautiful evening, plenty of info.. as always and some nice catches . Was that an old Viper GT Phil was using? Not many rods that bright. Just rediscovering my old 4.5 Viper, be careful what you throw out!
Yes it was mate! Classic example of if it seems too good to be true, it probably is!
Phil with the Southbourne lightsaber rod . Great vid chaps 👍
🤣🤣
Nice session mate
Thank you matey. 😁
Cracking session , love the rays and the soul best catch had to be the pb marlin 😂 See you on the next one 🎣😎👍🏼
Ha ha. Not many Marlin caught down here. That's my first for nearly a year now.
Always a pleasure watching a star of the beach in action. I do think a bell would have heightened the experience. I can’t wait for the next instalment…The hunchback of Southbourne beach …. the bells, the bells🔕☘️
You are my inspiration, sir. I shall don my Quasimodo suit for my next outing.
Brilliant video as ever Tom. Learn such a lot from your commentary 👍🏻
Thank you, Chris 😀
Perfect session, well done matey!!
Thanks matey. Hope you're keeping well and catching plenty.
@@christchurchanglingcentre5428 good thanks Tom, although I'm not angling as much as I'd like to 👍
Are we ever?
As always, entertainment, education and tips from the off! "Badoosh", such a loverly word! Bored for a minute or two? Google Shaman+badoosh, wish I hadn't. Seriously Tom, really great vid, 👍thanks.
Top quality session tom time for the pink hat soon 👏
Nooooo. I'm not mentally prepared for that! It's still the summer, right? 🌞 ☀️
Won’t be going southbourne Tommorow night now 🤣🤣well done a very nice session
Cheers dude. It's a long old stretch of beach, plenty of room for everyone.
@@christchurchanglingcentre5428 will still go mate was ribbing u lol
Good man. We're down here now... still catching 😁
Its about time you and Shane hook up for a session at each others marks. Tom your Mr Southbourne and Shane your Mr Poole harbour. If you lads can do a session together.. Tom there will be a roast dinner dropped off that night at which venue off your choice ! You and Shane can let me know what protein you want ! Tofu is not a option
@@rickphillips5098roast dinner again what a legend .im sure i will catch up with Tom but the man’s a fishing machine on the beach 🤣,plenty of time for a meet up ,im sure

Very good sesh. I felt quite tired. after viewing. Well done !
Thank you. It was a fun, hectic little session.
Great fishing Tom 👊👊👊
Thanks matey 😁
Nice one Tom for another vid to watch. All the best from GRIMSBY
Cheers Carl. Hope you're good mate.
Thanks Tom , love the Breams .
Me too! Such fun fish to catch.
Tom using coloured line do you think it scares fish in really clear water great vids
I used to be paranoid about this, but I have used coloured lines for quite a few years now and can honestly say it makes no difference. I do always use clear leaders though, so my mainline is 15m away from the rig.
Great little session that Tom.. and cheers for getting my last minute order to me super fast😉
No worries dude, thanks for the order 😊
@@christchurchanglingcentre5428 chasing big gilts next week and you saved the day 😆
@tillysgunstocks good luck with them. One of my favourite species, but I've neglected them a bit this year!
Lovely session again Tom a thoroughly enjoyable watch!!! Cheers Ian
Thank you, mate. A little sign of what we could have had if the fish had played ball on your visit!
Never mind we had a great time regardless!! Me and Chris off to Chesil tomorrow hopefully the wind veers northerly and the cod are in!!!🤞👍🎣
@ianclarkfishing good luck. I look forward to the video...
great stuff as always fishy tom👌
Thanks bud 😁
Your a true gent Tom. And one of the best I've seen, in 40 years. Always intriguing to watch, and a pleasure to comment, Be lucky
Thank you, genuinely. Comments like that make it all worth while for me 😊
I love this lighter side of fishing. Just don't get much chance in the Bristol Channel. What is that blue rod? Is it a Veret?
It is mate. That's my beloved Veret Syria 435. Just a stunning rod. Not neccesarily what I'd call lighter though, in fact I've used it in the Bristol Channel, but it is probably far lighter than most people would use there! I've always like to fish as light as I can get away with (probably something to do with my girly arms!🤣 ).
@christchurchanglingcentre5428 cheers pal. It looks like a lovely piece of kit, a bit different from my usual channel rods; Kompressor S or 6+bait. Really enjoy the videos you put out, keep up the good work! Tight lines!
@thetaffydangler717 thanks, mate.
Dare I say - an excellent rate of tips to cast mate! Thanks awfully for entertainment too. Oh yeh, well done on amount fish caught 🤣🤣🤣
Thank you 😁
You can add the pollack to your species count, thats one of the fish your missing 🐟
Awesome!!! Thanks for checking. I must do an updated list. Maybe a little species hunt video at some point soon to tie it in with.
Cracking flick with a bit of good comedy pal, tip on that Syria looks awesome 😢😭😭😭
Comedy? I'm deadly bloody serious me mate!
How about using a bell on the end of your rod. All the good anglers use them❤
Top idea from a top angler. I will add one to my Christmas wish list. Thank you.
Brilliant session, really enjoy your videos
Thank you, and thanks for commenting, muchly appreciated.
Great session, always enjoy catching fish 🎣.
Absolutely! If you can't enjoy catching a load of fish, then there's something wrong! Except strap congers. They can jog on. 🤣
Thoroughly enjoyable as always Tom . Thank you for sharing
Thank you for watching and commenting 😁
Have you done any more mullet fishing since your last mullet videos?
I haven't. I've really neglected that this year! Although it's not been the best season by all accounts.
Same here Tom, only managed a couple of trips & not very good.
Hopefully next year will be better.
Manic 😂 what steroids you on Tom ? Never a dull moment in ur videos mate , look forward to ur next 1 😊
Ha ha, thanks Pete. I think I need tranquilizers, not steroids!
Great short session well done mate , which reels are you using there ? See you on the next one 😎🎣👍🏼
I'm using a pair of Shimano Bull's Eye 9100s (I know, I'm a tart!)
@@christchurchanglingcentre5428 lol you might be a tart but they do look nice 👌🏼 😂
They've become the summer whiting. Black bream are a real pain these days 😂
🤣🤣 Definitely worse problems to have! 😅

Great work Tom, can I order some of those 7.135mm gape size 6 wormers, please pal 😂
I only have 7.125 in at the moment. Sorry. Joking aside. Makes perfect sense doesn't it? The current sizes are completely meaningless.
@christchurchanglingcentre5428 have to agree with you there pal, would make a lot more sense and help a lot when ordering!!
Well done on the bream Tom. I've watched Ian's chanel for a few years now . All the best from GRIMSBY
