Fergie had won trophies as a manager and the culture was different back then. Kompany has won nothing as a manager, got Burnley relegated and is managing in an age where most players will not respond to this kind of approach. He will find out very quickly at Bayern, that top players have big egos and part of being a great coach is knowing how to manage the ego. Shouting like a teenage boy will not get him the results he wants.
Some of the Burnley players were a disgrace to the sport. These types of ppl r all over the workplace in many different fields. Some ppl r just soft and entitled. The big difference is that in a competitive men's sport where the whole world is watching, it's a privilege. Professionalism and work ethics should be a given especially being paid the amount they are paid.
Seriously now, l cannot believe they are against Kompany he’s screaming about the football and not about personal shots here. They get paid millions and English media and citizens think he has no right even when the players might not give all or complain. SOFT JUST SOFT, l had teachers in Italy who screamed at me more than that. Passion to become best, the thing these people don’t understand.
I got secondary school teachers shouting at me for making mistakes and I reckon guys in the military had to endure something similar. This timeline can be a bit soft at times. Some guys think they know best, so how can you give them a reality check.
Managers can always be out of line and as a human, you can stand up to that, kompany is a force in that managerial area. He knows what he's doing. If you cant take the heat, dont go in the fire.
There's a difference between bringing your players down and making them feel isolated, and actually giving tough love so they straighten up and improve themselves. Nothing wrong with standing up for yourself but make sure you ARE being a true professional and meeting the high demands required of players that standard.
I understand that each manager has their own approach and how they deal with others. But for me, screaming at players like this is not a wise act, and I will never accept that, neither for myself nor for others.
Why not, he wasn't screaming, if you've played it's all in context. Reason why your not a multi million footballer. As a coach you get your point across, people's jobs at risk, people will do anything to have an easy life or pull a fast one.

no shirt on the floor- best comment I have heard in a while - and it isnt about 1 person - it is a team - hence he won things - others just take the money and dont care what they achieve.
Let me paint a picture. I am supervising a choir. The choir director knows we have a critical practice to prepare for a program. He walks in 2 hours late, no apologies, with a scowl on his face. I call him AFTER the practice and ask him why he is late and his phones were all switched off. He gives me a lame excuse. I ask him not to do it again...all this in private. A month later, he repeats it again. This time, there are barely audible murmurs from choir members about his conduct. I call him aside again...same story. Two weeks later, the same scenario repeats itself. I call a meeting after church the next day, and I berate him publicly about his conduct. He never does it again. True story. There are boundaries that need to be set and when they are crossed, there must be consequences.
